Can only think someone somewhere sneezed and cause the price to go down. Especially when the last time I filled up I paid $4.33/gal. Went in got the 24oz cup. I asked the gal which pot was the OLDEST pot. She pointed to one on the top rung. I said good. and proceeded to pick that one up. She was about to snatch it from me, but I kept a firm grip on it and told her I wanted the STRONG stuff. She laughed at me and allowed me to fill up. I gave her the pot back so she could empty it and brew a new pot. I took my OLD coffee to the back counter and proceeded to doctor it up... mini-marshmallows, ND mocha creamer, cocoa powder, sugar free vanilla syrup, and 3 packets of splenda... Yeah I am sure I violated several laws of the coffee universe but hell this is why I come to Speedway - I am allowed to make my own concoction. LOL. The coffee, which has similarities to a Turkish coffee, is a medium roast with Cardamon and cream. Definately a unique flavor profile from what I am used to where it is a flavorful robust coffee that is well balanced with no harsh notes and oh so tasty. What I didn't know before coming here is that coffee originated out of Yemen some 500 years ago where they clearly have perfected the drink where this is a HUGE step up from the week diluted drink we call coffee here in the states. The coffee shop itself is bright, clean, very modern and very inviting with a casual vibe and nice Yemeni accents throughout to add to drinking experience. Staff is very friendly in explaining the drinks and how they are made and help guide you to the right drink choice as the names of drinks are very unique and a tad confusing as evidenced by my Mufawaar (: Overall an excellent unique coffee shop that is a must visit if you are a fan of good full bodied coffee.
