Service is very friendly at this spot. I like an expreso, but more of a tea person. Easy in and out.

I've been coming to this establishment for about five years now I've seen many managers and the current manager it is by far the worst one she is unfriendly. anytime she's making drinks She is playing on her phone. Her hair is never put up. I feel like that is unsanitary. I have witnessed her make her employees cry, which a manager should never do. I've never seen her acknowledge customers walk in. I keep coming in because it is close to my house, but it seems like the service gets worse and worse. It definitely has something to do with new management. Because beforehand the Starbucks was great. Hope something is done about this!! read more

The staff at this location are miserable. Lucky they make the drinks correctly, but the service is horrible. It's no longer enjoyable to stop at Starbucks. Even if you submit your order 10 min before you get there, always plan ok waiting in the lobby 5-10 min. Don't ask the staff any questions unless you can handle their rude response. read more

Definitely not the best service from this staff at novi and 14-- I ordered an oatmeal with brown sugar, simple right? First one came out as soup--- second barely any water because I asked them to remake it-- I think she did this because I asked to remake, I wasn't rude but clearly she wanted to send a message. Other worker didn't want to get me a spoon so I could eat said oatmeal... get it from the register. Staff seems to have a chip on their shoulder and petty. read more

I unfortunately have to lower my star rating to 4/5 for this Starbucks. Service is still friendly and the drinks are still made accurately, but they did a remodel and it's not as friendly to groups of 3+ as it used to be. My parents and I used to come here and sit at one of the communal tables or even in the armchairs. They extended the bar area and got rid of both of those. Now there are three sitting options: two tables near the door (which DO seat about 3-4 people each); a bar area with low chairs, on the side, that have electrical outlets; and high tops, which I hate, near the ordering area and bathrooms. I was on this side of town for a few days dog sitting, and needed to surf the net since my friend doesn't have wifi in her home. I realized that this Starbucks is literally half a mile from her place, so I came in to get my coffee and wifi on. For starters, the place is clean and well stocked, even at 6 AM on a Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and welcoming and nice. After I set up my computer, it did take a few minutes or the barista to acknowledge me, but he got me my small coffee, so it was worth the wait. I really liked it here because even though I was there at a very early hour (between 6:30 and 7 AM) the place was moving along nicely. It wasn't super busy but wasn't so quiet that you would fall asleep. Plenty of seating along with food, mugs and the like. If I'm in the area again I would gladly stop back in! There isn't a drive thru which is fine by me and I think there wasn't any seating outside, but hey, I'm cool with that. read more

Good coffee. This one has particularly nice people that work there who are always friendly. I frequent Starbucks all the time all over the place and one of the most common things I always order is an Americano, and I've been told by Starbucks employees and managers that it is one of the easiest drinks for baristas to make. So if that's the case why is it after I ordered my drink today on my mobile app 10 minutes before arriving (and there were no customers waiting in line when I arrived at 3pm on a Sunday) that my drink was not ready until after a round of high maintenance drinks from some customers who walked in after me and ordered at the cash register? Did you just forget or did you just assume that I might think an Americano takes way longer to make than the fru fru drinks that the non-coffee drinkers order? read more

I frequent Starbucks on a daily basis since I work a short MAYBE 2 minute slow walk to one, but this location is closer to home and when I'm not working this is the one I go to. The Orchard Lake one is probably closer, but I'd MUCH rather go to this one. They have never failed to make my unsweetened soy green tea latte's wrong and the customer service there is actually cared about, even if you are not a regular. read more

Wonderful service. Very pleasant workers and the feel was nice. But the coffee, my God the coffee was one of the most horrific cups of coffee. It needs an award for being a real bad cup of coffee. It's not nice to take us for granted and serve us dirty mud coffee. But let me again say the place felt good. This place used to be a nice, quiet neighborhood place. My son used to call it "the magical place." Then they "remodeled"...not only the building..but the attitudes. This morning...we waited WAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too long for a chai latte.....had it under the wrong name. And gave us the wrong drink. When we walked back in...no "We're sorry"...nothing. **update** My recent experiences here have been much better. Maybe It really does make a difference when you don't come in during peak hours! -------------- I tend to place more complex orders (extra shots, non dairy milks, extra hot, less syrup etc) and whatever I receive usually tastes like a bland college caf latte that's comprised of the teensiest hint of coffee and 75% sugary milk. I didn't think there was anything wrong with this until I started making my own coffee at work- for free- that taste way better. Today I got the limited Valentines Day drink (molten chocolate or something) about which I've read so many amazing reviews....BLEH. Maybe I should get a tea latte or frap next time?? Idk. read more

This Starbucks is convenient because it is by my house... but the service is not great at all. You can do a mobile order and still wait 20+ minutes... at 7AM. They need to put their A-Team on the morning shift. The staff is rude and has confronted customers on their orders... when the customer turned out to be right. All in all, if you go when they are not busy whatsoever, you will be fine. If you are wanting to grab a quick coffee on your way to work, make it at home and save yourself the headache. read more

They didn't have java chips and couldn't possibly make up for that by giving a deal on some other drink (upgrade the size, add a flavor shot, whatever) and then the cashier couldn't spare a nickle, so I had to break a large bill. This is a great Starbucks. Nice sized cafe in which I usually find a comfortable place to chill. They seem to have a steady stream of people coming in and going out and also a diversity of folks sitting in the cafe to take a break, study, socialize, etc... There is a good vibe here, accepting, clean and judgement-free. Also, I have never been disappointed with my order here. I went and was hungry. I bought 3 scones. Tracie, an employee was slightly criticizing me for what I got. I went up later and got a frappuccino and Tracie was at the desk still. Tracie said "No more for you, you've had enough sugar." Then I laughed as it was just a little joke and the she took it to "I have a 25 year old and a 22 year old and I wouldn't ever let them suck down this much sugar." She kept taking it further.
