I am from out of town and only had a month of availability to work with. I had a bit of prior flying experience, though it had been years since I last flew. I was definitely rusty. I was also struggling to retain the information from the online ground school platforms so I requested ground instruction. Luis assessed where my skill level, and with my instructor Travis, we came up with a plan to work towards my goal. Travis was thorough, organized, patient, and knowledgeable. He was very dedicated to giving me as much ground and flight instruction that I could handle. And he worked with the ambitious time frame I set for us. The schedule was demanding and rigorous, and there is still so much to learn. But with the quality instruction from Travis and Nikki and Luis's dedication to my success. It was an amazing experience…read more As an educational professional and engineer, I had always wanted to finish the private pilot license that I started when I was in school. I started back up but doing one hour a week with my local instructor I could see it was going to take another year at least. Progress was slow. Looking for an alternative, I got in touch with Jamie. My first step was to finish the written exam myself. I engaged in self study, took a course, created tons of flashcards and did quite well. Then I went out and spent 2 weeks with Jamie. We flew almost every day. Some days were frustrating. Nothing would work. Then a day it would all click, and another day of regression, then it would finally all come together. I passed the checkride on the first attempt. Jamie has a good style for professionals. As an engineer and teacher, I probably had too many questions. I kept asking him how do I know when I'm about to touch the runway? How do I see it? Why isn't there a radar? Why are the instruments so small? etc etc. Of course he showed me all the moves, but he always came back to something along the lines of you just need to do it 300 times. And we'd go up back in the pattern and do it again. And again. I started having nightmares about French Valley airport. But I got it. I would definitely do it again. I haven't flown in a while and I may need to do it again in fact.

Jamie was super helpful and flexible in arranging several days where we did nothing but flight training, and I passed my checkride on the first try. He was great at injecting surprises into my training that made me a better pilot. My favorite was when the engine "failed" on takeoff - nobody else had ever done that to me in almost 80 hours of training - and I'm grateful for the knowledge that I can handle any crisis. If I had it to do over again, I'd start off with Fly Accelerated training - just take the time off work and do the training all at once. You'll get it done faster and can broaden your experience with other planes later with local instructors easier than if you are trying to balance your work schedule and flight training and raising kids or whatever else you have on your plate. In the long run you'll save money if you just do it all at once, and Jamie is top-notch.

After paying $130 for TSA fee and $169 into flight, Enrie decides to increase my training to $75 hr , and placed me with some Indian instructor which also lied to me about the prices just to get me to sign with them, and since he trapped me with the TSA... WALK AWAY from these scammers.. what else would they lie to you about.. safety First. I switched to West Air Aviation, and much better American school , they quoted me $50 hr in my plane, intro flight is $49 no questions asked..
