I thought I wrote a review for the 76 gas station but I guess not this one's OK. It's in the parking lot of Walmart Home Depot and all the other good stuff I've been to this gas station a number of times it's not my favorite, but it's big enough where there is more than enough room for a lot of cars to get gas. It's a good location though it's across from Trader Joe's the gas tanks usually work, which is great but of course gas is overpriced everywhere so figured I'd write a review for this place and this is the one I go to since it's on imperial Highway it's convenient. Please do not go to this establishment if you can help it. Dishonest and rude cashier - Ruben. My mother went in to pay for gas in cash. She came out and learned that the cashier set the pump for the wrong stall (#6 instead of #5)- there was another car parked on the other side of her , stall #6 . My mom came back, paid again for her stall and asked for her money back since the other car left with the gas that was suppose to be for her. He said he couldn't refund the money and to come back tomorrow to speak to the manager. He said it was not his problem to fix even though he was the one that made the mistake. He then provided my mom with a business card of the company to call, but the card was for people looking for jobs. Then, he provided my mom with a random phone number saying it's his bosses's number. However when I called, it was a random number to a person that resided in Florida. Again, he provided my mom with another phone number that was no longer in service. He is such a disgrace and a perfect example of someone taking advantage of a helpless woman, that was asking for help. My mom's first language isn't English and was doing her best to advocate and speak up for herself in the best way she possibly could. (Disclaimer: my mom was physically there while I was on the phone with her as she was explaining to me what was happening. Then I was trying to call all of these random numbers that Ruben had given her because he said he couldn't help her). Later that evening my sister came back with my mom and Ruben told them, "I don't want to deal with it. Come back tomorrow and talk to the manager." If you didn't want to deal with it, then you should've given us the proper information to speak to the manager on your behalf instead of you pretending to call your manager and saying it's out of your control or refund the money. Terrible car wash. DO NOT take your car through this wash. As my car was exiting the wash I noticed the car ahead of my that was waiting for the vacuums had something smeared all along it. I knew I had to get out to check my car. That's when I noticed some grease or oil was smeared all along the whole left side of my car. I went inside to notify the attendant. He told me it's been like this for two weeks! He said he told his manager but he didn't care. I couldn't believe they were taking people's money only to mess up their cars. I have been using the 76 Station Carwash at Brea Union Plaza at 2405 E Imperial Hwy., Brea, California, weekly for my work car and two personal cars. I got a new used car and on March 18, 2018, I took it to the car wash. As I was going thru I heard the loud scraping sound, but I was unable to do anything to stop. When I got out I saw damage to the vehicles rims. It occurred when the rails hold the tires, See attached photo of rims. I asked if there was any remedy for the damage the carwash caused my vehicle. 76 (formerly known as Union 76) is widely known across the US for having their signs in the form of a large orange ball with the number 76 written in blue. In recent years, I see fewer 76 gas stations mixed within an industry where ARCO, Shell, Mobil, and Chevron seem to be the popular favorites among consumers. It's nice to see a 76 gas station here and there and this Brea location, within the same shopping complex as Home Depot and Staples, has a Circle K attached, which makes your pit stop even better. Since, this is the last fueling station going East on Imperial Hwy prior to the 57 Freeway, it's an ideal location to gas up and purchase some snacks. The gas prices are a little higher than the average but this 76 has everything. On the back side of the building, there's even an express car wash. With plenty of gas pumps and parking space, the employees at the Circle K are plesant and don't bitch about you using their restroom. C'mon, when you gotta go, you gotta go, right? On a side note, there's a mobile app that I have on my iPhone called the Ticket Talker 3000. It's a novelty app where you press the 76 orange ball and it spits out excuses that you can use when you get caught for a ticket. The app is FREE so check it out. Here's a few of my favorites. Worse car wash EVER!! I will NEVER COME BACK. The line was long on the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend though I didn't mind waiting. The wash stopped 2 times while I was in it. It finally pushed me out with soap and blue liquid all over my vehicle. The car was still full of dirt! I was so pissed and the line was way too long to wait for a 2nd time. NEVER AGAIN!! This is my "local" gas station I frequent. Prices are reasonable "cheaper", well affordable enough for me, and plus it's 76 gas. They have a car wash that's cheap. It's a self wash, so I'm not expecting much, but only to get the car wet when it's really dirty. They have free readily accessible vacuums that are for use after the car wash, and the air/water is available. read more

They do not have a posted a return policy anywhere in their store or on their receipts (which does break the law by the way, California Civil Code section 1723). This law states that the store must accept returns and give a full refund within 30 days of purchase if they are breaking this law, which, again, they are. Do NOT purchase from here unless you KNOW you're going to use what you're purchasing. They will NOT accept returns despite the item being UNUSED and UNOPENED and despite them not having a returns policy posted anywhere within their store. However, if you DO plan on returning something despite this, PLEASE make sure your item is DAMAGED or NOT WORKING, because THAT'S the ONLY WAY they'll accept the return according to the very rude female manager and her staff who were very quick to turn me away today. So I went inside to ask the clerk and there was this meat head looking dumb a$$ that was on the phone and when I told him he got all aggregated at me. I mean seriously. Just went thru my weekly truck wash. I have a monthly account. Usually a nice attentive guy is here, today an over weight woman is sitting on the side of the building texting. The debit/credit card readers on the pumps NEVER work at this station. After scanning my card, keying in zip code and waiting several minutes for authorization - I consistently get a 'See Cashier' message. (No problem with my card - because I simply leave to go down the block to the Mobil station where it works just fine) If they can't be bothered to maintain their equipment, I'm not going to bother to waste my time here any longer. This review is for the car wash only. Since I have a smaller car there were parts of the wash where the wipers didn't even touch my car. I think I could've gotten a better wash if I just took a hose to my car. Came out still pretty dirty. Would not recommend getting a wash here unless your car is already clean! read more

The gas price here is average, not high and not low. It is a convenient location since it is in the Home Depot anchor store location. The gas station is on the larger side so you don't have to be afraid of some cars passing inches from you like in some small Arco stations. Frequently they have 99 cents soft drink promotions. However, one time, the cashier sold me for the car wash and when I went to the car wash it was shut down. The cashier said they shut down the car wash when it gets dark. So, why did you sell me the car wash ticket? I asked for a refund and she made a excuse that I can use at another time. Well, if it always shut down when it is dusk, then it is useless for me. This gas station has everything you could need! For the day I was there, they were hosting a car wash to help raise money for a club I am a member in. It was great that they were so willing to give back to the community, and the location was perfect for this type of event! I come to this 76 gas station for the CAR WASH. I usually get the premium wash because it's at a great value and the wax lasts a good 2-3 months on my car! It's convenient for me because it's right off the freeway and next to stores I usually run errands at. Other than that, the owner of this car wash is a supporter of autism and has let the Autism Speaks U chapter from Cal State Fullerton put on fundraisers at his car wash. Any company that supports and helps fundraising efforts for autism is someone I give my full support to! read more

Horrible car wash. Ripped the roof rack of my car. When we came out of the car wash the attended said this was the second incident that week. The next day I was trying to remove the rack when the manager called and asked my husband to bring our SUV in. The manager accused us of loosing bolts to intentionally have this happen. Just read on face book that exact thing happen to another car. Over 5 people have chimed in the same hung happened to them. Manager refuses to call back or accuses them of fault. They are the most unhelpful employees I've met. I've always gone out of my way to help people even at work but these two low life's wouldn't let me fill up a couple water bottles to put in my car so I could get to the gas pumps. I walked about a mile to get there that's why I couldn't push my car. It was also 90 degrees outside. But anyways I would've taken two seconds to fill them up and they were even mean and laughed about it saying I need to buy their gas cans. My car desperately needed both gas and a wash -- bad! I had just finished running errands in the shopping center and found that this gas station was not only very convenient, but had everything I needed. After work on a Tuesday, it was not too crowded and you can pay for the car wash at the pump. You get a receipt with a code to enter into the carwash station. There was actually an attendant when I pulled up who helped enter my code into the machine and spray my car down as I entered into the car wash. My only negatives were that the gas prices weren't too cheap and that they don't have an explanation of what the different car wash types are at the pump when you purchase one. I would suggest pulling up to the car wash station after you fill up -- you can view what the different car wash types are and also pay for your wash there. The car wash was actually very decent for the price, too ($7 for the silver wash). read more

Customer beware. My wife and kids recently went to the Union 76 gas station on Imperial Highway near Home Depot. She bought a car wash in their washer. She has a SUV with a roof rack. The attendant at the car wash adjusted the washer for the roof racks and advised my wife it would be fine to go through the wash with the racks on. Unfortunately, the dryer mechanism ripped the cross bars off the rack. Luckily they didn't hit the car behind her in the washer. The attendants gave my wife the phone number for their manager to file a claim. She called and left a message for him. He called back a couple of days later to tell her that it was her fault and they aren't liable and weren't going to take any responsibility for the over $200 of damages. My wife asked if there was someone to appeal this to and he said no and ended the call. He has ignored any further calls to discuss. So that's the last time I give them my business. read more
