Full Service is rare and difficult to find, especially after business hours. I came here after going to another full service station on Keeaumoku which closed their full service as soon as I pulled up. I carefully made my way through back roads and 76 was still open with full service. I was quickly approached they helped me right away. All four tires were checked and one was repaired. Finding reliable help after hours is not as easy as it was 20 years ago. I don't know how seniors manage without more of these types of "service" stations. Great service and good prices! I needed to do my safety check and I went to multiple places but they were all booked. I called 76 gas station located in Kalihi and they had openings. I drove there as fast and safe as I could and someone immediately came out to do my safety inspection. ( I wasn't able to get his name.) My safety inspection went awesome. Over the years I've stopped by this 76 when my tire pressure light would turn on, and they used to happily help me out, granted I didn't put any gas but would just tip them for the help! They never seemed to mind it! Service was fantastic but now these days they're turning me down when I ask to help to check my tire pressures, unless I put in a minimum of $10 gas. That was something new and unfortunate as I had hoped to continue getting the convenient help I needed with them but that just isn't the case anymore. read more

Yelp Challenge 365 # 157/365 You might be wondering... what or why is this gas station significant, such that it earned a spot for review, let alone 5 stars? Well, here's the reason... and for no other reason than I NEEDED TO GAS MY VEHICLE OR I WILL STALL.... Here's a couple points: 1) their price per gallon was $.04 less than the Chevron and Aloha on the other caddy corners and 2) their entrance and exit is so easy..... on School or Houghtailing. But this readers is the real and most important reason: You don't have to pump your own gas. Some smiley friendly attendant was at my door asking for method of payment, how much, what grade of gas and so forth. He asked all those questions after he greeted me and asked me how my day was going. How do you like that? Completed transaction came with a question "would you like a receipt?", I answered no and as I turned my ignition on he bids me a farewell and have a nice day. This visit made me think to arrange my schedule (and gas) around this gas station. This is the ONLY "gas and go" location where you get "gas and go" prices with "full service" attention and service Kudos to whoever owns this place! read more

Never thought I'd be writing a yelp review for a gas station but I love this place! Being a girl, I'm pretty helpless when it comes to taking care of my car. First came to them in 2015 when my tire pressure light went off since I didn't know how to do the stick thingy where you check the pressure of your tire after you fill it. The boys immediately checked my car as soon as I pulled up and did it for free! So of course I tipped. Came back 2 more times after that for nails in my tires (different tires UGH just my luck) and they patched it up immediately for like $15 or so. then back again for more air for my tires. and finally recently also got safety check done here ($25.33 for the one with tint) . The service here is always fast, efficient, friendly, and informative!!! I'm so happy there's still a place with full service to help helpless girls like me!!! =D one day I will learn how to fill the air in my tires but not today. read more

I've put gas here because of their full service. I like my tires checked especially. I went recently and told the attendant to put $40 of gas into my car. Afew days later I saw on my bank account that I was charged $82. I called right away & was told about a holding charge & if it's not recredited to my account to call them. I did, and they suggested I speak with tge mgr. called daily and missed the mgr. They told me to call this limi company to speak to him. I got in touch with him and explained this to him. He said he'd investigate my issue. He called me a couple if days later telling me that I would not get a refund because the attendant filled up my tank. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue. I'm on a small budget and tge extra $40 is a lot for me at this time. I had it ear marked for something else. I felt very upset that someone could fill up my tank when I specifically asked for $40 only. Then the mgr. was like oh well, it is what it is. I won't be going there again. Poor customer service. They would not preform a safety check because there was a loose clasp on the car's mask. There are about 20 other clasps AND its screwed down via the license plate holder. My wife prefers this place, as they do safety checks on Saturdays, and has been going here for the last few years. but we will not be returning. read more

Came in as a walk in to patch my tire as there was a screw in it. I was in a rush but the guy got straight to work and patched it in less than a minute. Then he checked all the PSI in all four tires and put air in it. Fast, no fooling around, in and out service! read more

Got a citation for a expired safety and drove straight here. short wait, then the older gentlemen went to work, no fussing around, one got in the drivers seat and the other checked, they ran through the list, brought out a machine (not sure what it did), and used an iPad to take a photo of the recommended psi tire sticker on the inside of the doorway, then $20 and they gave me a new paper and put the sticker on too. Best service ever!! Rodel is awesome!! I had a nail in my tire, went to two firestones, one chevron, and one Goodyear. They all quoted me between $20-$40 and would take about an hour or two to even figure out if they could patch my tire. Waited an hour for them to tell me they couldn't patch it needed a new tire starting at $100 just for the tire. Went to 76, Rodel plugged the hole in 5 minutes for $15, added oil and put gas in another 5-10 and we we're on his way. Great service and really nice people. read more

My bypass hose busted and my car started overheating and smoking. Pulled into the driveway (the first gas station I found) and so lucky I pulled into this one! The workers immediately came over to check out the problem and help out. Al and Milton were the guys who helped me--cooled down my car and found the leaking hose. Offered to let me leave my car there overnight--it was almost closing time, just made it before they started to close up and go home-- free of charge as long as I came back the next day by closing time. Even mentioned that there was a risk in leaving the car outside but since it wasn't to safe to drive it in its condition still left the offer up to me. The next morning I arrived Al was working the morning shift and helped out when he could with my grandpa to replace the busted hose. They were very friendly and super helpful. They are a gas&go and full service station. Observing their work they were very quick and thorough doing their job; even when all eight stations were full. read more

Takes a Spoiled Apple to Spoil the Bunch! Well, that's what happened with my experience here At 76 aka Burts 76. Which happens to have 2 Yelp pages. I live in Aiea, but anytime I'm in Kalihi, I'll pull in for full-service gas. Only 4 spots on O'ahu I know of that still provide this type of service, the other 3 are in Kahala & Kaimuki. So, we pay extra with our gas, so we can get our fluids under the hood chk'd, tire pressure & widows washed. So 8/23/16 Tuesday about noon, I pull in headed north on north school & enter the lane closest to the building, where this heavy set man steps out in front my car and flashed me the stop-signal. So I stop & roll down my window. He rudely asks me what do you want, because we're about to do a safety check here. I looked @ him & said, "gas?" He's like, well just pull up here then, come on, come on...so I pull all the way up. He's like, how much. I said $20 so I can get the hell out of here. So I opened my door so I can pop open my gas tank & pop my hood which is extremely low, and he pulls open my door & cockily says, do you need help & I said no. He said I needed oil, and I told him, no need, I'll tell my husband later. I believe the young Filipino boy was chk'g my tire pressure. Then he tells me $20 and takes my car and runs it. I'm about to pull off and I look over to my Sister and I ask her if they chk'd my tires and she said, I think so, I said, what about my windows? She said no. By that time, the guy with the Royal attitude, Felix, had moved to a car behind us, so I began to reverse, so the young Filipino boy comes to my window and I roll down the window. He says, "Did you forget something?" I said, "Did you forget something, my windows?" Oh, he says, He said, not to do them. That guy Felix had told him not to do my window. WTF...SERIOUSLY!!! DO THESE PEOPLE REALLY KNOW WHAT THE MEANING OF BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS TO THEIR BUSINESS THESE DAYS!! JUST BECAUSE U FELL OFF THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BED, OR WHATEVER YOUR PROBLEM IS, LEAVE IT AT THE DOOR & DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS THE WAY YOU'D TREAT YOUR MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER, ETC... This is the local neighborhood auto joint. Lots of friendly uncles and braddahs willing to help out. I've not used the full service gas amenities yet (not quite sure how that works...do I tip?) but I've gone a few times for my safety checks (I'm due) and they recently helped me with a tire plug after I discovered a consistently leaky tire. They are quick, fairly priced (for small fixes anyhow), and keep regular business hours. They put their tools away around 5 or so, so get there early instead of late (they start servicing around 6am). While I was there I overheard a couple who came for an oil change - they were there for an appointment so looks like that's a possibility too! read more

Took my vehicle to the full service side for a fill-up. I entered my CC info and the tenant started pumping, another attendee started checking my fluids, which I thought was pretty cool, looked like I needed a qt of oil.. Which was $4.50.. Ok, I guess. While the guy was pumping the gas I kept hearing the nozzle trip(over and over..) I paid no attention to it and started zoning out.. Then the man puts the nozzle away, puts the cap back on and hands me my receipt and tells me to have a nice day. I start my car and put it in park, I notice my fuel level was only on half. I tell the guy he didn't even top me off then he starts laughing and says.. "You should fill it up yourself on the other side, it's cheaper haha" I assumed the gas nozzle tripping over and over was too much of a nuisance for him to bear., even though it's his job.. read more

Need a safety check? This is the place I go. The guys are fast and friendly. They opened up at 8:00 am and I arrived there on the dot. There were 4 people already waiting in front of me and by the time they were done with me, it was only 8:30 am! Talk about fast. I'll always come back here from now on. This commentary of my experience at the 76 UNION @ 1340 SCHOOL ST. is directed to EVERYONE looking to get their car safety checked!! The owner (BURT) of this gas station does the safety checks. He should not because I think he is TOO OLD & FORGETFUL. Yesterday I went in to get mine but he told me I needed a new front tire before he would pass me. Therefore, I went immediately and took care of it. I came back and HAD TO WAIT IN LINE again! He took a picture, wrote some notes, and said, "OK, you're all good to go." So naturally, I am thinking he had placed my new safety sticker on for me. WRONG!!! I get home and I walked around back of my car, and see that my OLD TAGS WERE STILL THERE. Then I look at my paperwork and I still had the temporary one he first gave me. Therefore, I had to drive back to that station to get my safety sticker and new card (to keep in my glovebox). I get there, and start asking someone to help me since I was not given my safety sticker & revised paperwork. Finally one guy told me I should go inside and talk to the owner, so I did. I went inside the office and told him he forgot to give me my safety sticker after he passed me just a couple hours prior. He says to me... "TOO BAD It's CLOSING TIME, COME BACK TOMORROW @ 6am". So he starts to push me away from his office door so he could close it on me!! So I pushed that door back open, and I told him I paid for that safety check and I was passed so you OWE ME THOSE SAFETY TAGS TODAY! I told him that I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE PENALIZED DUE TO YOUR INABILITY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR JOB. I DO NOT HAVE MY TAG OR THE PROPER PAPERWORK I PAID YOU FOR. JUST GIVE ME MY TAGS & PAPERWORK so I can go, then you can close up for the day. I DID EVERYTHING YOU ASKED, AND I ALREADY PAID YOU." I even went so far as to explain my urgency was due to a hearing I had the following morning, so I NEEDED THESE DOCUMENTS FOR COURT TOMORROW." His first words were "FUCK YOU!!! I DON'T CARE!" Then he continued with more cursing and refused to make good on his mistake. I was not about to be pushed aside when he clearly screwed up and was too arrogant to admit it and do the right thing by simply giving me my tags. He IS THE OWNER, so if he wanted to he could have done so in a couple of minutes! NO... he did not have time to do any of that but he had plenty of time to stand there arguing with me and calling me a "BITCH". So I continued to insist that I be given my tags and asked him if this is how he TREATS HIS CUSTOMERS?? He repeated "FUCK YOU, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STATION. I absolutely felt as if I had the right to ASK FOR WHAT I PAID FOR.... IN ADDITION, I HAD TO WAIT IN LINE TWICE TO GET this finished for tomorrows hearing!!! So he goes over to open his cash register, all the while yelling rude comments at me, and pulls out the money I paid him. Then he yells at me "NOW YOU HAVE YOUR MONEY and I don't owe you anything!! Now GET OUT OF HERE AND DON'T YOU EVER COME BACK!" I was totally AMAZED at his LACK OF SELF CONTROL, and how UNPROFESSIONAL he was. The fact is, he had plenty of time to YELL OBSCENITIES at me, and then take the time to open the register to return my money...BUT he somehow didn't have time to simply give me MY SAFETY TAGS!! I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT NO-ONE GOES THERE FOR YOUR SAFETY CHECK or anything mechanical either. As long as "BURT" the old crusty owner is alive and still thinks, he is competent to be ISSUING A HIGHLY REGULATED DOCUMENT (at that location, OR ANYWHERE). HONESTLY, you would be better off going ANYWHERE ELSE but there! .....FORGET ABOUT IT!!!! Besides all that, THERE IS NOWHERE TO SIT... (They do not EVEN HAVE CHAIRS for their customers). BELIEVE ME IT IS SO HOT and very UNCOMFORTABLE standing around there waiting in the sun, WHILE HE TAKES HIS SWEET TIME to complete just ONE safety check!! PLEASE do yourself a favor Go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THERE!!!! Not only is the owner a RUDE MAN, he obviously has ANGER ISSUES! Avoid that senile old man., and his DIRTY SERVICE STATION TOO! Tools are everywhere and the actual garage is a TOTAL UNORGANIZED MESS!! It looks as if 10 YEARS HAS GONE BY WITHOUT SOMEONE DOING SOME CLEANING UP OR JUST PUTTING THINGS BACK IN AN ORDERLY AND SOMEWHAT ORGANIZED FASHION. This is THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD TO DATE DURING MY 20 YEARS HERE IN HONOLULU!
