Stopped by to get air in a tire. The clerk said $2. Said I thought the law was that you couldn't refuse air or water in California. I then pulled up an article on my phone. The bearded red headed clerk then started flipping me off and screaming at me. I asked why are you so mad just need a little bit of air. He then said "you are crying about it like a baby" as I started to laugh and walk away he turned on the air. It was such an insane interaction. read more

Pulled in at 7:30 and as i was paying on the app and got off yo choose my fuel octane, the guy decided its time to close and shut off all the pumps came out with locks and said its closing time so i turned off the pumps you need to find another gas station. I told him i paid for gas and he said no i cancelled it when i shutoff the pumps you didn't get charged and i said yeah but i want gas and he just said no more gas we're closed. It is a gas station. No interacting with employees; swipe, pump and go... Yep, like everywhere else, I just got gas and left. Pumps worked. Lights were bright. Price was a bit higher than near my home so I didn't fuel up too much. I will say that I was driving a 15 foot (long) U-Haul truck and the required clearance was more than enough for me. It was easy in off Pico (westbound) and I exited onto the side street. I would do get gas here again if need be. read more

Stopped here on my drive back down to south Orange County. Needed a quick fill and something convenient. This is pretty convenient from the freeways nearby and easy to access. 11:38pm on Saturday night, pulled up behind another car that pulled up 5 seconds before us and we got out to pump gas only to have the rude attendant turn off the lights and pumps right when both us and the car in front of us got ready to pump. I cannot believe the rudeness of this person. 11:38 at night what kind of time is that to even close. This petty attendant obviously got his kicks from frustrating paying customers. Any business that operates in this manner does not deserve my patronage nor does the attendant deserve his job. We had literally rolled into this station after a long drive and were on empty beyond empty. Lucky I was with my husband, if I was by myself and stuck in a quiet dark gas station and a broken down car with no gas and something happened to me, I wouldn't want to imagine the legal repercussions that I would execute against this business and this attendant personally if we hadn't been able to roll down the road to another station that was thankfully open. Nice people. 76 is almost always more expensive than others, but it's nice to have it near the mall and on pico so I don't have to go all the way up santa Monica. They also have a walk up cashier which is nice and helps speeds things along. read more

This place is in a prime location one of the only gas stations around. I'm always on the go so whenever I need gas that's whenever I stopped to use the restroom I spend about $100 a tank so I think it's only fair that I use the restroom this location doesn't have a restaurant I found this out after I already started pumping my gas I would have just kept going to find the next gas station they need to put in a bathroom for customers like me that are always on the go. read more

I was at the 76 Gas Station on Pico Blvd and Overland Ave. I was filling gas up for me and my son. While I was filling up gas for myself and my son, the so called, "manager" stopped the pump and came outside. He stated, "You can't do that." I asked, "What is it that I cannot do?". He said, "You cannot take the nozzle from one car and put it into another car". I said that I am paying for this gas. He then stated that I cannot do that. Based on his attitude, there was a sense of discrimination within his tone. He was clearly giving a pessimistic attitude because of the way he was talking to me and my son. Clearly, me and my son did not do anything wrong. He then asked us to leave without a valid justification. After a verbal confrontation with one another, he went back into the store and brought out a non lethal weapon. He was prepared to use a weapon on me. He was only three feet away and close to using force. If I didn't back up, he would have used it on me. Clearly, this is a violation of my civil liberties. He was clearly being racist. There was no physical contact. I urge you not to use this gas station because of the racist employees 76 hires. read more

I work around here,so I always come to this gas station. My husband lost his bag at this gas station, and we ask them to show us their camera footage around the time my husband left the gas station, the guy who works there told us to contact the manager. The manager was never there. We end up gave up. Today I went to this gas station for gas. I wanted to pump my tire real quick since my tire was extremely flat, so I park my car next to the air machine first. And I put $1.5 in the air machine. The machine only work for 3 second and it cut off itself. I asked for the worker who was swiping the floor to help me. He came to me and question me if I put enough money in the machine. I explained to him that this machine was on for 3 second. I definitely put enough money in it. He still keep asking me if I put enough quarters in it. He ask me if I have one more quarter. I told him I don't. He literally pretend like he's just a worker who clean the gas station. I asked him if there is anybody work at the little store in the gas station that can help me. He finally admit that he's the cashier. He told me they don't need to turn the air machine on for free for the people who don't pump gas there. I was like hey dude I actually paid for it, but your machine sucks. He end up try to give me a lesson about the air machine is not free even though you are a regular customer. My gas tank was on E. I stopped to get air and kindly asked for the attendant who was wearing a shirt that said Alex but claimed to be someone named Layla to turn on the air for me. She said I needed to get gas but I instead I offered to buy something, she immediately became hostile. She was abnormally agitated and indifferent towards me. She gave me an unecessarilly hard time. I've seen other people in the community casually get air and strongly felt it was because she had some indifference towards me. This was not an ordinary encounter of bad service and I'd like this individual to receive some sort of cultural sensitiviy training. That's all I'm asking for. My family and I can no longer purchase gas from 76 after doing so since I can rememeber. I was very kind and yet met with hostility. When I pulled up after getting air to confirm her name and ask for a manager contact she ignored me and I had to get out and walk up to the window and get her attention to do so. I called to get a complaint contact number and she claimed there wasn't one. Not cool.
