Poor customer service and racist attitude from Mona. The other women at this store, Brittany and the beautiful little lady with the Afro and the assistant manager all have composure and respect. Not Mona. Let me tell you what she did. The other day after having had woken up from a coma and seizures and leaving the hospital I came to get a soda. There were some issues with my card where she couldn't get the free soda to go through. Turns out it was only a matter that my card was locked. She slid the soda back away from me and said, ' No no thank you.' I said what? 'Thank you I have other customers. I can into this store 2 or 3 times a day for snacks and cigarettes religious as I've moved into the neighborhood. However it seems that Mona wasn't made aware of this and obviously doesn't seem pleased. So just a few moments ago I went into the store and retrieved another free soda as I had purchased my 6th one the other day and had one coming to me. I softly explained to Brittany I was getting a soda and a free bag of chips but I would have 2 visits as that's what the rules state. I stepped outside and my phone rang. It was an urgent business call. In the middle of my call and trying to step back in, Mona steps outside the door and says,'I have to ask you to go!' I looked at her with utter disgust and said I'm coming back in to buy cigarettes and she obviously saw and heard me on the phone. Why would I hold a business call during all that? So I immediately excused myself from my business call and stepped inside. She then proceeded to tell me that some woman was outside scared. I said why, because I'm black. Or is it because I am gay? She had a perplexed look on her face. I am standing there with not 1 but 2 $1,000 Ultra 2 Apple Watches on my arms in two different colors. What threat am I? I'm wearing her salary on each arm and with flawless $40,000 teeth in my mouth, hers were not $40,000 shall we say. You cannot in this day and age discriminate against gay people, black people or otherwise and that's EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS THAG SHE DID!!! I am hereby recommending to all my fellow queer, alternative, lgbtqia+ members and even African Americans to boycott this establishment for 1 year or refuse to shop there when Mona is working. The owner of this store should be made aware of how she is. And being that that have sooo many cameras, all they'll need do is sit back and watch everything that I said was true. And if she's done it before.... Chances are... she'll strike again. Thanks Moanin for all your invaluable services.... I just ran into one of the SUPER NICE cashiers who works here and gave her a hug!!! Honestly, the people who work here are the absolute NICEST and most down to earth people I have ever had the pleasure to do regular business with and it has been a pleasure getting my gas and snacks from them when I lived near them for approximately FOURTEEN years!!! I moved approximately three years ago and it's a little bit further away from where I live now but I'll DEFINITELY make sure I stop by and get some gas and snacks from them now and then and when I need to go to the post office!!! I honestly do not believe any bad reviews because I have NEVER had a bad experience there in ANY way, shape, or form in FOURTEEN YEARS. Small gas station but they have a bit of everything. The staff is super friendly and talkative. The prices for the water, coffee and hot dogs( 2x $2.50). Are not bad at all. Gas prices are reasonable also. No diesel though. They also charge for air . read more

I went there late at night alone as a female. A male approached closely from behind. I asked him to take a few steps back. (He was so close I could touch him) He refused and made me very uncomfortable. We exchanged words while I asked him for space. Th employee JD stepped in verbally and told him to wait in his car until I was done. JD made me feel so comfortable and I can't tell you how much I appreciated that act. Going to the gas station alone as a woman can be kind of scary but knowing people like JD are working makes me feel so much more comfortable. This is your typical downtown Sacramento gas station in many ways: pump prices are a little higher and you'll inevitably encounter a couple homeless persons soliciting around the storefront. Seeing as they all have the same deficiencies, my preferred stations are the Arco on J & 29th or One Stop Gas on 16th and X. Both are cheaper. But when I'm in a jam I come here because it's convenient. On my last visit I had a homeless man insisting on cleaning my window. Fortunately, I was able to drive away before this happened. Keep in mind that it's off of P which is a one way street. There's really only one direction you can head when you leave. read more

Gas is cheap and decent quality, the clerks here are very nice, on an easy to pull in corner off the freeway--but homeless people camp out here regularly next to the hospital. I wouldn't recommend this place late at night, especially if you feel vulnerable to theft or assault. read more

The gas station attendant that washes your windshield and then tries to sell you windshield repair... he was arguing with a female customer as I pulled up. And after he finished cleaning my windshield he argued with me for not wanting to take him up on his "windshield repair" conversation. They're jerks! They ask if you have full-coverage car insurance, then say they can do the repair right there in the Circle K parking lot. High-pressure sales tactic. It's bullshit. It's a total scam! It's a gas station. Not super extraordinary. No car wash. Be wary of solicitors coming at you from P street or Alhambra. Cashiers have always been exceptionally polite to me, and are hardworking. They have to deal with a lot of the addicts, homeless, and mentally ill who stop in here or by here to hook up with their dealers - two nights ago my boyfriend and I saw a transvestite getting out of a red mercedes, rub her nose and sniffle a few times, and then watched a younger dude get out with an older dude who went in to get some cigarettes. We saw her on a corner near one of the cheap motels down Alhambra later in the day. I can't imagine the cashiers enjoy that kind of scene on the daily. I've never felt threatened in the daytime here. I don't think a gas station could really get any rating past a 3 star from anyone due to the nature of the clientele. They have some decently pricing fuel for a 76 too. Although whenever I attempt to get some good fuel at a fair price I always seem to get hustled for a $1 or $5 due to the high bum activity. How do I handle a bum asking me for a buck. Well, I politely ask them for services in return. For example, a bum ask me for dollar. I reply, "wash my windows." He then say's "ok." See that's a fair deal, probably a better deal for him then it is for me. So next time some bum tries to hustle you for a buck ask him/her for some windows washed. read more

The lazy blonde girl that works there refused to take my credit card the other day because she said they've had recent fraud and they can't figure it out. I go there all time, have proper identification and am a kick back card member. She's always talking to her coworkers, on her phone or has her face buried in a bag of chips. Just another 76 gas station. A little cheaper than Chevron and Shell but more than AM/PM.

The circle k part is fine but this gas station makes me crazy because the buttons at most of the gas paying machine things don't work. You slide your credit/ debit card then punch in your zip code/ pin but the machine tells you invalid pin/zip. So you try it a few times, then go inside. The people are friendly, but it's still annoying, and by paying inside, you have to choose an amount, so you can't fill up unless you are simpatico with your vehicle or overpay then go back inside for change. read more
