This gas station always tends to have better prices per gallon for gas than other spots in the City; nearly $0.10 cheaper than the average in San Francisco. Location wise, it's strategically located and there are hardly ever any lines to get gas!

    Thanks for declaring my tire...

In general they don't maintain their equipment well. They've had pumps go out. Most recently, I used their air pump. My tire was low (34 psi) but not an immediate issue. I used their pump. I asked the guy to turn on the air. He did so, and I could hear the air compressor working. I put the nozzle on my tire stem for maybe 20 seconds. I checked the pressure with my gauge. The pressure had gone DOWN, and now my tire pressure was dangerously low, to just 30 PSI. Thankfully I have run flat tires. I went to the Chevron on Geary and 24th. They always have air, all their gas pumps almost always work, and they have a mechanic on-site that can fix flat tires.

Customer Service - 1/5. 2/3 guys working were ok, nothing special met expectations for a car wash. BUT...the 3rd guy was a total jerk (keeping it PG here). Read on if interested... The 3rd guy, who collects your receipt and supposedly gives you instructions (I did not know the whole process at the time, this was my first visit here [and last] so I was unaware of all the participation expectations) aggressively knocked on my window to get the receipt, mumbled something (which I realized later were instructions to follow) and proceeded to begin spraying my car BEFORE my window was up. THEN, shortly, he aggressively knocked on my window again, as my car was completely wet and soapy. I opened my door trying to avoid getting MORE water inside the car, for him to rudely mumble the instructions again, and again, before I finally understood. Oh, put my car in neutral! Overall, car got washed. Won't bother again. Looking forward to the completely automated car wash minus the aggressive, rude, unfortunate personal interaction, and keeping my interior nice and dry.

A 5 star gas station?…read more Ordinarily, the routine stop at a gas station to fill up the tank is not anything to write about. But this is no ordinary gas station. First, it's kept super clean. Always. From the pumps to the mini mart, there's never any disarray or mess. Second, they play instrumental music. Somehow the simple addition of Beethoven, Bach, or Tchaikovsky turns the very mundane act of pumping gas into something almost refined. Thirdly, I try to stay on top of my car's (her name is Baby) tire pressure. Here, all you have to do is ask an attendant, & they will happily check the air pressure for you. Yes, happily. Is it weird that I actually look forward to coming here? I think Baby does too. 5 stars.

I have never left a negative review, but this experience was so terrible that I felt compelled to…read moreshare it. A week ago, my car overheated and had to be towed to this Chevron station. I explained that the engine was overheating and that there were visible coolant stains in the engine compartment. The next day, I was told they had identified a coolant leak, replaced the coolant reservoir and associated hoses, pressure-tested the system, test-drove the vehicle, and confirmed that the problem was fixed. I paid approximately $750 and picked up the car. One week later, while driving to Marin, the same engine overheating warning returned. We had to pull over immediately and have the car towed again. Fortunately, this happened before we got onto the Golden Gate Bridge. I had not driven the vehicle at all between the first repair and this incident. The vehicle was towed back to the same shop for the overheating issue. The next day, I got a text from the mechanic, in essence, admitting that "It does look like the thermostat was on the way out when it was last in here. To do that thermostat replacement will run $752.21." I called the owner and explained that I had brought the car in for an overheating engine the previous week, paid for the repair, was told the issue was fixed, and now had to tow the vehicle a second time because the overheating problem returned. I asked why a more comprehensive diagnosis had not been performed when the vehicle was originally brought in. The owner's response was that they only tested what I specifically mentioned and that the thermostat issue was not part of the original diagnosis. So, in essence, the owner suggested that it was my responsibility to identify the cause of the overheating problem. If you bring a car in because the engine is overheating, it's reasonable to expect a thorough diagnosis the first time. Rather than acknowledging the frustration of having the vehicle towed twice for the same problem, the owner became defensive and, get this, suggested that I take the car somewhere else even if that meant I would need to have it towed. Fortunately, I was at least able to drive it home a few blocks away. Being charged for a repair, experiencing the same problem a week later, and then being told the responsibility was somehow mine and that I should go elsewhere made this the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
