1698 Fell St San Francisco, CA 94117 I don't usually get gas in San Francisco, but yesterday I stopped here. This is the Chevron at Fell & Masonic, along the "Panhandle." It features 2 islands, a small shop, and a smog station. Gas was $5.69/ UL Reg. Yes, that's high, but this station is on a major road. I went inside the shop to see if they had cough drops. The young lady (cashier) was very friendly and helpful. The only neg.....I saw a worker, an older man, smoking a cigarette about 30-feet from the gas pumps. I suppose that's safe, but it sets a bad example for safety. Overall, a fair experience here. read more

The owner is a complete jerk. He charged me 3 bucks so I could use the restroom for a candy bar then banged on the door constantly. When I demanded a refund, he refused. Beware this place. Bad service!!! Lady cashier so mean.needed to put air in tires. Last visit we needed to ask staff to turn on air. Air it's free . Not sure about water . But machine post 25 cents. Avoid this gas station like the plague. Two blocks up is a gas station with prices 25% cheaper. This gas station is clearly gouging.

Was hoping to get my car smogged here. Contrary to every sign they have posted, they apparently don't do smogging. The attendant, didn't even look up to answer me when I asked "do you do smog tests?". She gave me a curt "no" without ever acknowledging me. Very poor customer service at the very least. read more

There is a really aggressive man that works here. About 30 minutes ago he was banging really hard on my glass window. I was only parked there for one minute due to an emergency I was having with my infant in the back seat. Who ever is his boss, please make sure he doesn't do this to others. Went to fill up my Pilot here at 21:08:30 on 4/15/16. I've been a few times before for the good stuff -- 17.4g of it for my very thirsty large gas tank. The neighborhood doesn't have a sketchy vibe IMHO and it is across from a small patch of lawn that is the beginning of the park. There is an auto service attached too but I have never used it - review for fuel only. They take credit cards and there didn't seem to be an extra charge for it as with most Chevrons. Located right at the corner of Masonic and Fell Street, this gas station is very convenient. There are about 8-10 pump stations and all seem to work every time I come. They accept credit cards and the pump machines print out the paper receipts (not all chevrons refill the paper receipts). I've went in to pay at times and the cashiers are friendly. Prices for gas seem to be reasonable especially since we are in San Francisco, right? Safe area and would definitely recommend this gas station if you are in need of gas and in the area. read more

I brought my car here about 2 weeks ago because my tire was getting flat- I had a massive nail in one of them..bleh Anyhow, I came here around 1oclock in the afternoon and waited for about 10 minutes for the tech to come back from lunch- he got the nail out of my tire and also checked the other tires in my car to make sure they all had enough air- not really too friendly but he did get the job done @ $25.00 bucks. read more

When we lived in SF, we recognized this as one of the most expensive Chevrons in the city - and that's saying something. It looks like that hasn't changed much. I can't imagine that they would have survived this long if gas purchases were the only thing they rely on, because both times I went there to visit the convenience store, not a soul was filling up gas. read more

Do not patronize this place. These guys are fucken cheaters!!! I had my wife bring in my car to replace the brake pads and they told her that the brake rotors needed to be replaced. They wanted $800+. There's not a damn thing wrong with my rotors!!! I took the car to ARCO on Fell and Divis and they said I still have 15-20% wear on my break pads. Nothing worse that mechanics that fucken cheat people, especially if you happen to be a woman. I hope this place goes out of business, they deserve it for trying to cheat people!!! read more

I left and/or dropped my wallet there yesterday. I didn't realize it until I was 50 miles away. I called and they said it had been turned in but there was no money in it. I figured whoever had turned it in had helped themselves to a $400 reward. Oh, well. When I came back in today, Daniel, the manager, brought my wallet out in a bag, which also had my $400 in an envelope. A smog check rip off. I went here because I needed a "Gold Shield" or Test Only station. They made me wait almost 2 hours and then failed me on the "visual inspection." I find this totally dishonest - if they saw and knew that I would be failed then why did they continue with the expensive pollutant level testing???!!! The guys in the booth are total assholes. I went to pay for gas and one guy said to me "We're changing shifts. No more gas." There was gas. He didn't like my "attitude" which was impatience because he and his buddy were just talking inside their cage and letting a line build up. They charged my credit card $60 for $48.99 worth of gas. I didn't check the receipt before I drove off, my mistake. It says "INDOOR PREPAID", altho I never set foot inside their store. Apparently, they feel it's okay to charge you in $20 increments and then you have to go in to get the difference in cash. But if you aren't aware that they're doing this, you're screwed and they laugh all the way to the bank. I've never encountered this before at any gas station. They are actual highway robbers. This gas station has FANTASTIC service. It was referred to me when I had a low tire over the weekend. I called to see if they could help me and they said to come over before the afternoon, when it gets busy. Daniel, the repairman, checked the tires and found a nail in the tire. He patched it immediately and checked all the tires to make sure they were balanced and added air in one. All for the price of the patch-$25. read more

We really appreciate this family owned station. The people who work there are unfailingly nice and helpful. Today the Huz took the car in for a quick smog check ($58 total), and while he was waiting, they gave him a coupon for free coffee at Amitis on Hayes and Masonic, and the coffee was excellent. I think the gas prices are so high because they do not really want the gas business. Their real business is the smog checks. And they have no local competition. It's the only site in the neighborhood for several miles around that does smog checks. I've gone there for years for my smog checks and the owner seems very reputible to me. I've only needed some work done one time, and that was done quickly and with an acceptable price. If you want to wait in the neighborhood for your car (usually about 40 min.), they'll buy you coffee at a local café. But, right, I don't buy my gas there. read more
