For context, when I refuel from about a quarter tank, the total is usually around $70, and my vehicle's tank does not have the capacity to justify a $150 charge. I didn't go inside to pay as I prefer to pay at the pump. Hence, I didn't have any encounter with employees. I took a peek inside the food mart, but I didn't see anyone. That's how it usually is for me at any gas station unless the pump is out of paper and I really want a receipt, then I would walk in and ask for one. Or when I need to use the women's restroom. I just know that I paid $5.99/gallon for regular gasoline at Costco in Alhambra. Driving past V Red on the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Olive Street, I saw the "$5.89 regular" (when you pay cash) sign several times before I had a chance to stop by. Inside, the convenience store is still under construction. The two friendly partners were having positive conversations with all of the customers while being efficient. I told the man at the cash register that I'm "Pump One". He replied with a big smile and said, "Hi, Pump One!" LOL! However, when I checked my fuel gauge, I realized that I had only received half a tank, despite paying for 19 gallons. When I brought this to the attention of the cashier, they didn't seem to care and suggested that I simply go for a drive and come back to show them the receipt and a picture of my odometer. This lack of concern made me feel like they were aware of the issue and potentially stealing gas. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience at this Shell Gas Station and would not recommend it to others. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue and ensure that customers are receiving the full amount of gas that they are paying for. Little details like that are greatly appreciated, and the main area with snack/drink selections looked very organized and tidy as well.
