I always pay with a credit card and have never had an issue--until today.Today, I noticed a $150 charge on my card, even though I clearly remember the pump automatically stopping at $50. Unfortunately, the receipt did not dispense. I was in a hurry and left, trusting that the charge would be correct. For context, when I refuel from about a quarter tank, the total is usually around $70, and my vehicle's tank does not have the capacity to justify a $150 charge. This makes the charge very concerning. I hope management can look into this issue and help resolve it, as I've otherwise had good experiences here and would like to continue being a customer.

I was on my way here... It's a small gas station with 8 pumps at the corner of Baldwin Ave and Lower Azusa Rd. Lights were bright and grounds were clean. No other cars were here at the time. I didn't go inside to pay as I prefer to pay at the pump. Hence, I didn't have any encounter with employees. I took a peek inside the food mart, but I didn't see anyone. That's how it usually is for me at any gas station unless the pump is out of paper and I really want a receipt, then I would walk in and ask for one. Or when I need to use the women's restroom. Before this Unocal 76, it used to be a Mobil that Frank and Sharon used to own. Are you surprised about the little bit of history of this location I bestow upon you? This location used to be a service station where they did work on your cars and pump your gas if you really want but I really doubt that. Well, the point of this review is to finally put this location on the map since it's been here for almost a year at this point. Competitive gas prices but I don't think anyone can beat Arco prices. I certainly would prefer 76 over Arco gas but really tempting since prices have rose to another all time high. Today is $4.19 for 87, outrageous and this is one of the lowest in the area.

I just know that I paid $5.99/gallon for regular gasoline at Costco in Alhambra. Driving past V Red on the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Olive Street, I saw the "$5.89 regular" (when you pay cash) sign several times before I had a chance to stop by. Inside, the convenience store is still under construction. The two friendly partners were having positive conversations with all of the customers while being efficient. I told the man at the cash register that I'm "Pump One". He replied with a big smile and said, "Hi, Pump One!" LOL! His partner and I chatted about Hawaii, I filled my tank, got my change, and went on my way. If you're in the Temple City area, I highly recommend V Red when you need to fuel up!

There are numerous pumps and each pump offers payment at the island along with some annoying ad that is on speaker. Credit cards are accepted with a different price than cash for petrol. The fuel pump was in good working order but was out of receipt paper. The convenient store seemed to be closing down and the door was locked. The attendant was nowhere to be seen. Good thing I found an outdoor window along with a bell to call for the attendant.

It seems this location actually cares about service and upkeep of their restrooms, since the associate actually greeted me when I entered through the entrance and when I went straight to the bathroom, I happened to notice that they had a sign indicating to let the associate know if anything needed to be refilled/cleaned in the bathroom. Little details like that are greatly appreciated, and the main area with snack/drink selections looked very organized and tidy as well. Super easy to fill up, friendly service, and an easy to access (and clean) bathroom makes this place ideal for anyone that could be looking for a specific gas station on Yelp, haha.
