I have never have written a review for a gas station. I hardly ever go to ARCO because I usually like to pay at the pump with a credit card. I hope Annie the manager reads this review. So I'm about to go on a trip. Being Chinese, my sister gave me some good luck money. I decided to use the cash to pay for gas. I ask for $30 on the pump but handed the clerk $50. I took of right away to go home to pack. An hour later I realize my mistake. Being superstitious, I wanted to get the $20 back for good luck. Johnny C. Never ever and I mean ever am I coming again here for a car wash. The wash is a scam. They charged me $14 for a premium wash. Which was just a basic wash. To top it off I wanted to pay for a basic wash but on the gas pump it turns out the options go from highest to lowest (dosent show the price) in a way it's makes you think okay the first one should be the basic one ... cool, but no the first one is the premium one. I have been coming to this ARCO location for several years now. It is cleaner and safer than most of the other Arco locations in the area. The pumps are always in working order unlike other near by Arcos and the toilet is extremely clean for a gas station. The people who work here are very nice as are the owners who are sometimes working. The car wash is just ok and gets the job done but is not as good as Costco, although the Costcos near this Arco do not have car washes. Since the only self serve wash is far away, then this is a better value than the full service car washes nearby. Arco now takes credit but gives a discount for cash payment. Overall, this is one of the best places to get gas in SGV and hands down is the best ARCO. read more

I stopped here for a quick snack while conducting business around town. While Arco is known more for its inexpensive gas, I was able to find a snack that fits my tastes. I found some RXBars, which are pretty legit protein bars. I found them in a few varieties, and decided on the chocolate chip this time around. I usually finding in larger varieties in the West LA and Sunset Blvd area convenience stores. The staff here was alright, and the convenience store was exactly what could be expected from a small Arco station. The maintenance here is decent, and the gas prices are comparable to other Arco stations in the greater LA area. read more

Those who complain about Arco's $.35 charge for ATM probably didn't do very well with math in school, or they drive small hybrid cars that hold 8 gallons of gas. Arco is generally 25 cents or more cheaper than every other competitor. That means that on a modest 10 gallon fill-up, you're saving $2.50... Less the 35¢ ATM fee... You saved $2.15. If you drive a truck or big tank SUV, you're saving lunch money, folks! This Arco is no different than most others-- they sell cheaper-than-everybody-else gas. Never used their garage services, and I'm not looking for scintillating conversation from the clerk, so if you like spending extra money for a Federally regulated commodity-- go to Chevron or Mobil or Shell. Im fully vaccinated and walked into the gas station without a mask for a minute. Masks are recommended for the vaccinated, and required for those who are unvaccinated. The Hispanic male was so rude, didn't say a word, and slammed the sign that says mask required with the ugliest glare I've ever seen in my life. Aside from the chaos of this busy busy gas station....it is all good with its well stocked convenience store and drive thru car wash. Nice modern gas pumps, well lit at night. Clean restrooms. Good coffee, soft drink and snack selection. It's just kind of crazy with the two entrances from two different busy streets - drive defensively on fridays when entering this station. A few cents cheaper per gal than the other places in the area prob makes this place so popular. Big tip - always cover up the keypad if you need to enter your pin or zip code! Well I popped in here for my latest lotto ticket purchase. This gas station/car wash/convenience store always has a lot of traffic. Its obviously been fairly recently remodeled. The inside has a bunch of hot and ready food on the left and standard convenience store stuff on the right (beer, soda, jerky, candy, water, etc...) The gas here is about the cheapest in this area of town, but its cash only as it is an Arco AM/PM. I didnt see the car wash prices but it is on the reverse side of the store. The staff was not the friendliest but many of the other things were great. The cheap prices, basic c-store stuff and quick food ready to go, makes this a nice lil shop. Especially as it is clean recently remodeled etc. Its definitely an easy place to get some beer, lotto tix, quick cheap grub, and gas :) read more

I'm a bit between a 3 or a 4 star for this review. I never came here for the car service when they actually had a garage for repairs and smog checks. I have came here for gas when my cars actually liked it. I now come here for the AM/PM part and the car wash part. Although the car was doesn't quite get the whole car which I'm sadly disappointed. When my fuel tank was full, the fuel gun did not stop automatically! The gasoline was sprayed all over the place. I went back to check after one hour, I discovered that the defective fuel gun was still open to the public? They didn't care at all, they just ignored the potential fire hazard! It will be an explosion happening in the near future, if the next customer is smoking and the fuel gun doesn't stop automatically! read more

Not coming again. 1) Saw a customer not wearing mask and the cashier didn't say anything, even there is sign saying face covering is required. 2) Not taking credit card and charge fee for debit card. Kinda forced me to touch that dirty touchpad or get dirty changes from the cashier. 3) Car wash is no good. Lots of water spot afterwards and like others said, blower at the end is trash. read more

Never felt more insulted in a business, while walking through the store looking to purchase on item, the female clerk working at at 7 pm on August 7, kept staring at me and following me with her eyes. I looked at a quest bar that I might want to buy and put it back, instead grabbing some cashews. As I'm paying for my gas and the item I grabbed, she ask me to pay for the candy bar. I was confused since I only grabbed the item I was currently paying for. She continued to assume I was trying to steal something from her store. When I asked her if she treats all her customers this way, she made a very derogatory comment, hinting towards my race. Super fast, convenient and did a decent job. The dryer isn't that good, but it is a machine operated carwash so that's understandable. You do have to go inside to pay first, but there is parking and it doesn't take long. will be coming back. read more

None of the pumps are working only 2 out of all of them. Don't bother going there. Some had notes but the rest didn't and they didn't worked

I live about 1 mile from here and this is the most convenient and cheapest gas. For the past two or so years it has gotten progressively worse. The gas pumps are never working to receive payment. I see others also moving from pump to pump bc none of the pumps will receive payment. I believe this is on purpose in order to get people in the store in hopes they will buy some products! Cheap gas = no complaints. Not even about the lady who isn't very friendly at the register. It seems like people are complaining about the 35c fee for debit. If you look at it, technically even if you pay 35c you're saving around 10c per gallon on gas anyways. So you're going to save more if you buy more than 4 gallons of gas (which most people do). The place can get pretty packed with cars at some points during the day so come when its not too packed. read more

this isn't about their prices...its about their car wash. I bought $14 worth of gas and bought a $6 car wash. I've been there many times and am very aware how the system works. You read a code on a receipt, enter it into the machine, and you get your car washed. I did just that. There was another car ahead of me and after entering the code, it told me to wait. I waited and when the guy was completely out of the car wash, I drove forward. Several cars were behind me. I went about 15 feet and the green light never came on. I waited and waited. Nothing. I called the number on the receipt and told the person to please come out and turn the car wash on. About 3 minutes later, an Asian woman in her 50's comes out and asks why I didn't buy a car wash. I showed her the receipt and said I did. She then accused me of driving in without entering the code. I told her that I've been to her car wash 50 times and know how the system works. Can she please reset the wash so I am not trapped inside with 5 cars behind me? Once again she says I didn't enter the code. She storms off and leaves me sitting in my car. Not a word. I called the number and they said in broken English that I need a code. DUH! Finally I can't inflict this torture on the poor saps behind me. I leave the car wash and park next to the main lobby. i go in there and again the woman says I didn't enter the code. I told her to check the security cameras and to just refund my $6. She refuses and says she will issue me another code. I tell her there are at least 7 cars in the driveway now and I just want to peacefully resolve this and to please issue a refund. She refuses. Very dishonest people here. They made a $4 error on my $10 purchase and refused to give me my money back: All four attendants including the manager/owner. They were incredibly rude and disrespectful. Really cheap gas! This is located in a very popular street corner so it's best that you come to fill up gas during odd hours of the day (before lunchtime, early afternoon or evening). You can pay for the gas at the machines so you don't have to go all the way into the convenience store to pay. read more

Good price gas on a convenient corner. There is a debate about the quality of the gas you get at Arco, but the prices are great. It was easy to get in and out of the station and we were able to pump our gas and get on the road without a hassle. Not much more you can ask for. read more

Update: I left this message on AM/PM Facebook page the day I had the poor service page and I actually got a same day response and they looked into my issue. Within a couple of days I was contacted by a store representative who apologized and offered to refund the $0.35 since the transaction couldn't be completed when I tried to purchase fuel. She also offered a complimenary car wash for the trouble. I feel good about the customer service given to the initial problem, I've adjusted my rating based on their response to rectify the problem. Dear Arco/AmPm, I am a regular customer who frequents your gas station on the corner of Baldwin Ave and Las Tunas in Temple City CA. As I was on my way to Thanksgiving dinner I tried getting diesel fuel. The first pump I tried wasn't working so I moved to another pump. This pump also required me to go inside. I went in to pay and the pump put 19 cents into my truck and then stopped. Jose, the cashier on duty, refused to restart the pump or refund the 35 cent fee. So I paid 56 cents for virtually nothing. I find it to be horrible customer service that your equipment is malfunctioning on more than one pump and your employee refuses or is incapable of resolving the issue. I am very dissatisfied and feel you should review your company policies and employee training. Made my Thanksgiving was just a little more stressful thanks to you, would have rather your store was closed than give poor service while cheating a regular customer. read more

I would give less of a star if I could. Came in for a quick car wash and the guy ahead of me had no problem. I pulled my brand new car in and the darn thing sprayed my car with the cleaning solution, the arm came down to start spraying water, and the thing just stopped. I had to get out of my car, navigate through the slippery soapy water, and find the kid behind the counter to get his attention. The coounter kid inside the station told me to "just go back it up, the arm can't move" so I go back out and back it up, which I did, and it did not come back on. It was so slippery and dangerous trying to ge this attnetion the first ime, I gave up and backed out completely, came inside and the counter kid didn't think it was a problem, he just keeps smiling like he has a secret, and no they did not have a hose to rinse off the car and no, he did not know what to do. He did not offer to comp me for the car wash, never apologized. I am mad as hell and shouldn't have to go home with a garden hose and finsh the job. Shame on Arco. read more

Be careful about getting coffee here. Nice selections of coffee from machines, but make sure you put ALL your cream and sugar in before going to the counter! I put one sugar in my coffee and took one packet just in case it needed it. Hard to taste when the coffee is so hot. I paid her, then was asked to pay 10 cents for the packet of sugar! I am a local resident and have been purchasing my gas here for the past 17 years. This station is convenient to my home and the staff has always been nice. However, the last 2 times I have visited, the pay at the pump doesn't work. They don't put a sign on the pump so the customer can know this. So I pull up, get out, open my gas door and insert my ATM card & no response. I really don't like going in because I have a foot injury/handicap and I don't like leaving my car unattended. Today, I went to the counter and tried to ask the male employee what was wrong with the pump and when might it be fixed. As a long time customer, I am wanting to know so I can come back as a customer when the problem is fixed. I am thinking of taking my business elsewhere in the meantime. The employee wouldn't give me an answer. Maybe he didn't understand english, maybe he's tired of people asking the same question. But he was a total douche, giving me the impression that my business isn't wanted.
