Fellow patron I met said he came from Novato to bet, because there wasn't a similar venue closer. The place here recently went through a renovation. But honestly, I didn't see any really radical differences from before. Parking to the wagering section of the fairgrounds is thankfully free (although this wasn't always so). Admission inside the facility to bet the ponies is $8. However, for the Derby this year, they were letting patrons inside for free, which was cool. Inside, they have traditional betting windows and electronic self-serve ticket machines. There's a new snack bar vendor that serves up pretty good-looking food. But, they don't want you bringing in your own (cook-dude checked me pretty good for bringing in an outside sandwich). Restrooms are still pretty spartan, bare-bones as before. There's a separate outside section for smokers. Seating availability throughout the venue is typically challenging. And in/out privileges are permitted. Most days during racing season, you could literally wager from early mornings into the evening. Bankroll permitting of course, lol. And for the second straight year, I face-planted betting the derby. As my horse came in 6th or 7th. Welp. Still, the wagering place isn't a bad place to spend the day if you like betting horses.

And while it maintains its dated look, which I love since it brings nostalgia, there are a lot of updated and more modern games that they provide: VR for one and more screen games. Our favorite was the multi puck air hockey game! That was extremely fun! They kept the old school arcade, but also expanded. We'll try the mini golf next time. It may be a little bit expensive but it was worth it and kept the kids and adults busy! We'll definitely be back!

It's a very tight parking lot where they only keep on wide open, I think you should have security for your parties there. They have bathrooms in the foyer and an area for the food in the back. Inside they have circular tables and chairs that can fit a lot of people inside and you can have a huge dance floor too. You can do a lot of the space especially when decorated well. Close parking can be tricky since it's located on the small wing of the Marina Shopping Center. So when you plan on visiting for an event don't be surprised if you need to take a double turn around for a spot. There are two entrances, the main entrance into the bar and second entrance into the banquette hall. The bathrooms are only located in the back of the bar so if you have little kids, make sure they choose the best of two options in that area, either the karaoke singer or the bar fly. Senior citizens are the majority of this "Fraternal Order" although a few of the older gentlemen have tried to invite me into their sister league (lol, I thought that was sweet! However I politely declined with the upmost respect). They were all friendly and was very sociable about their past histories and easily opened up about their life stories. The bar is cash only and the prices are relatively cheap. All the workers here are friendly and are more concerned about you having a good time (especially making sure you sign up for the karaoke list!). The place is defiantly aged but I think that's what keeps this small crowd together. I kept hearing the regulars talking about building that place from the bottom up - they definitely take pride in their contribution towards this allegiance. By the way, their karaoke song book has a ton of oldie songs. Most of the songs are twenty years my senior.

The group mostly consists of a senior crowd that gets together on a regular business, always trying to raise money to help out the community. The people there are very friendly and they get to know your name pretty fast. I go there every once in a while to have a charity breakfast/dinner with my dad. All the people that work there are volunteers and I appreciate very much all the work they put into their job. They have a bar, which is where most of the people hang out and sing karaoke. There is also a separate room where they handle their club business/eating area, and bingo on some nights. If you are looking to rent the large room it will only cost you about $250. This place is a pretty good place for the older crowd to make friends,something to do, and help raise money for the community. I only wish they had a better source of income so that they may get an upgrade to the interior.

When we got to the both, we were told what movies were showing and we chose Wicked: For Good. We were directed to the screen on the right side of the lot. We loved how the parking lot had individual bumps to park. This let us know that we all would be able to see with no issues. Concession stand: They have many food, snacks and drinks (alcohoic and non-alcoholic) options. We went with 2 options...a personal pan cheese and a personal pan pepperoni. We both had a slushie. Altogether, I paid about $26. The movie started and had to tune into 96.7 FM (I think) to hear the movie. All headlights were told to be turned off. The movie and sound was clear. This was a very smooth experience. We will most certainly go back.
