After dpoing some thorough research (websites, reviews online, phone calls) on all the bartending schools in south Florida, my friend and I decided to go to the 786 Bartend School. I just completed the 40-hour course, and I can now say with certainty that this is the best chice for anyone interesting in bartending classes. The instructor. Isaac, the instructor for 786 Bartend, is the most experienced and knowledgeable bartener I have ever met, and anyone who takes this course walks away with a similar opinion about him and his expertise. He is nice, funny, but most importantly, he transmitted way more valuable information to the students in the 2 week course than I could have ever imagined. **If you are looking for a course to just mess around in and play around, this is not the course for you. But if you want to learn an incredible amount of information in a short period of time, and if you want to have fun while getting some serious results and progress in your bartending skills, then there is no other place like 786: free pouring, costumer service techniques, upselling, interview tips, drink recipes, and much more are all part of the experience. The facility in Midtown Miami was astounding: bar setup with food coloring and bottles for daily practice in the second week. We were able to actualize the recipes in our books by smelling all the top-notch liquors and liqueurs in popular bars around the country. This course was worth the 75 minute commute daily, and I would recommend it to any interested soon-to-be bartender. Final recommendation: buy the optional CD on the first day of class to listend to in the car ride to and from class; the CD is very professional and is chalk-full of helpful memorization tips (and funny background music!). read more

After researching many different bartending schools in the South Florida area, I chose to attend 786Bartend. I can't explain how happy I am with my decision. One of the main reasons this course was so beneficial was due to instructor, Isaac. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he is incredibly friendly. He takes his time to explain in detail EVERYTHING that you will need to know in order to be an efficient bartender. The program takes place in a working nightclub which is also very beneficial. The class was extremely informative. I have bartended before, but the class taught me the ins and outs of the art of mixology. The classes took place in a real night club in the heart of downtown Miami. The professional setting really helped with the learning process.
