EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING - Owner Andrew Park is ghosting me. Dishonorable, shameful, scamming business. Ordered a Spring suit back in September 2025. Tried on suit once received and it's a terrible fit. November, made arrangements with Andrew for repair/alteration. December 1 Received e-mail confirmation from 7 TILL8 that they received my returned wetsuit. Since then no word. I've sent e-mails, left v.m.'s and text. Although I'm not optimistic, I am working to get my money back. At least a refund would make this all right. Now I know why this company offers free alterations and repairs for life. Not actually custom at all. Not actually made in the US. I will start by saying I only bought this suit because I was given a gift card for this company. I actually had put more money into buying the suit because a $500+ gift card wasn't enough- which I will say is completely understandable for a QUALITY wetsuit. First red flag : When getting measured for my $600+ 2 piece women's long John & jacket wetsuit combo I asked if I could have longer legs hemmed as the design online shows the legs being slightly cropped. The guy measuring me said no because they're using a pattern and wouldn't know how to extend the legs. Ok... I also noticed online that the design says the long John is 2mm and the jacket is 2mm, so I ask for a 3/2 long John and a 2mm jacket -so I can use the suit all year. Guy also says no. Ok.. so my custom suit isn't customizable at all, we were already off to a less than desirable start. Second red flag :Months later my suit arrives, only to find that it was actually made in Thailand, probably in a factory and not even by a person- let alone a specialist in the wetsuit making craft. It was disappointing as the company markets a "custom made suit from the US" and mind you the jacket fits TERRIBLY, it's extremely constricting and unzips itself. When I contact the company for alterations I get a video appointment this time. I'm not going to drive 2 hours to Torrance to have them remeasure me... they have my measurements already. I show the guy on the video call where the suit doesn't fit and send in the jacket for alterations. It comes back to me fairly quickly BUT Third reg flag : it still doesn't fit right at all. This time they don't even ask how it fits. They probably know. Zipper still comes down on its own and the armpit is just funky. Poor design pattern I guess. The fit is off and now I just deal with it and don't get to zip my jacket for my 2mm wetsuit that I can only wear in the summer now because it's 2mm. Fourth red flag : I probably wore this suit ten times before the long John strap completely snapped while I was unsuiting. Now I know why this company offers free alterations and repairs for life. This isn't my first long John and I've been surfing for years, the quality of these suits and company is not it. *Edit* maybe their patterns for men are better because it seems to be working 5 stars for men. I bought a 7till8 wetsuit about 6 months ago and have been super happy with it. For me, the big thing is that I have a very irregular body type for a surfer (6'9", 250lbs) so wetsuits off the rack weren't getting the job done well at all. I'd needed to purchase wetsuits that were far too wide for my body just to get the height right. I went in to their office for a measuring, and the wetsuit arrived in the mail weeks later. It fits super well, and the neoprene material they use on it is uniquely flexible--a big improvement over the 2 wetsuits I've owned in the past. Being able to move more freely, both my paddle endurance and power has improved, which means more waves. The stitching and taping on the seams is also impressively good. I surf nor-cal year long with morning air and water temps in the high 40's low 50's and have been totally fine with just my 7till8 4/3 and hood. Which reminds me. Two pieces of feedback to keep in mind: 1. If you get the reversible style wetsuit, they'll stitch but not tape your seams (otherwise it would look weird). That means it won't hold up as tightly / as long as the non-reversible kind. 2. I wish they'd allow more customization on colors, especially the option to make the upper chest / sleeves a different color from the rest of the suit. Having some sort of color marking on the wetsuit makes you much easier to spot when trying to meet up with friends or find yourself on a cam after the sesh. My understanding is they used to allow it, but for whatever reason now have a tighter selection. I wish they'd bring that aspect of customization back. read more

I just received my wetsuit, Delivered on time as promised. I expected UPS to deliver it but since I am not to far from Torrance an 7TILL8 employee delivered it personally to my office and shook my hand. Now that is service! The suit fits PERFECTLY. The construction seems to be flawless. I took a chance on the Yamamoto neoprene - this is more expensive than my normal custom 7mm suits that I have gotten in the past. Glad I did. It is stretchier than normal wetsuit neoprene. Easy to get on and off. And I am impressed with the stitching and the seams, This should last a long time. This review is long overdue. I bought my first wetsuit from them a year and half ago. A 3/2 custom full wetsuit I purchased my 2nd wetsuit from them this winter - custom 3/3 hooded. Iv'e been surfing for almost 20 years now. Tried any wetsuit that is out there by now. Hands down 7till8 wetsuit is the best I ever worn. by a long shot. I live in socal,I surf about 4 times a week. I owned the 3/2 wetsuit for a year and half now and it's almost as good as new. That is insane. Any other wetsuit would have fallen apart by now. I had a few minor seams that worned out, I shipped it to them and they fixed it free of charge! This wetsuit is so much more comfortable that any other wetsuit. I normally wear 4/3 during the winter months, this is the only winter I wore 3/2 through out the winter.I get cold easily and this suit kept me warm and toasty year around. I used the 3/3 hooded wetsuit in central California in the middle of the winter. Felt warm enough. Their wetsuits are more expensive then the standard wetsuits that are out there, but you are getting your money worth. You're enjoying your surf more, and your wetsuit last longer which I think in the long run you are saving money and it's better for the environment. The guys that work there are super nice as well. As a surfer of over 30 years, I have had many wetsuits.  I have never had a suit this good and I don't say that lightly as I have had many great suits.  You don't realize how a cookie-cutter suit does not fit even a pretty average-sized guy until you put on a custom suit for the first time.  When the suit fits this well there are no leaks, uncomfortable points, gaps that let water in, or leaks.  This is the warmest most comfortable suite I have ever had.   Saying it fits like a glove is an understatement.  The material is top-notch Yamamoto rubber and craftsmanship too.  The team behind the suit is what makes it.  The 7till8 team worked with me and went above and beyond my expectations to get the suite perfect.  It's true you don't get your suit the same day and it takes some time to build and costs a little more but it is so worth the price and wait. read more

I'm posting this as a follow-up review (I think I wrote the last one on Google reviews) since I've had a 7till8 wetsuit for a bit over a year now. I love it. The wetsuit has held up incredibly well considering the amount I take it out. All the seams are still in good shape, the neoprene is still as flexible as the first day, and the fit is unparalleled. I used to always buy Matuse since they made what I previously considered the best-fitting wetsuits, but I'm a convert. I have been surfing since I was 5 and I have been through my fair share of different suits. I'm 6'3" and I have massive shoulders and I'm skinny with a long torso... That means basically a larger doesn't fit me, a medium doesn't fit me, and sometimes a medium tall almost fits. Well I have found the solution. A custom tailored suit that fits every inch of my body perfect. These suits are incredible. I have actually noticed my performance as well as my endurance getting better over the last two years I have been using Carapace Wetsuits. Being that I can select the materials and they stretch in all the right places I stay warm longer and my back and arms don't get tired as fast. I absolutely love 7till8 wetsuits. I got my first custom sized 4/3 backzip for winter in Santa Cruz. It is sized perfectly after doing my own measurements with my wives help. The process was quick from start to delivery. The Japanese rubber is really flexible and very warm. I am never going back to an off the shelf suit. 7till8 cost a bit more but their warranty and alteration guarantee more than makes up for it. read more

I got my 5/5 Hooded Custom suit from 7 till 8 last week. Far and above, this is the best wetsuit I have ever owned. I usually buy the Rip Curl Heat Seeker zipperless 6/4 or chest zip 4/3. I am definitely stoked on my 7till8 suit. Super flex for paddling and really warm. The suit feels like it is vacuum sealed on me. The custom fit is unreal. If you ever wanted a custom wetsuit at a reasonable price this is the spot. I'm pretty thick and have wide shoulders so all my off the rack wetsuits either have a lot of extra neoprene or end up chaffing my shoulders and getting stretched out eventually tearing the suit. I decided to go custom so that I can actually have a wetsuit that fits. Ordered my wetsuit through their website, super easy they sent me a measuring tape to take my measurements and the how to guide is really helpful. Turnaround time was awesome and they even repaired my wetsuit when I got a gash in it. Wetsuit is a great fit and high quality materials as my suit has lasted for over 2 years. 7till8 altered a 5mm wetsuit that I use for diving. They shortened the sleeves and took in the torso area. I dropped off the suit at their offices and they took the necessary measurements. When I picked it up, they checked to make sure the fit was right. They did an excellent job, and finished the work in less than a week. I am 6'6" and was having a hard time finding a suit with the right fit off the rack. I have rented suits before for diving and caving which have been way too big around the waist and chest. When I walked into the water with my new Yamamoto backzip it was new sensation. Water was not rushing into the suit! The things fits perfectly! Great materials and construction. I just dropped by to check out their place and to see the surf wetsuits in person. I ordered a custom dive one from them online last year and it came out great. Since they offer so many surf styles I wanted to see them in person. Seeing all the different styles was nice and I ended up ordering the exo2 with that fuzzy liner on the inside. It looks like a cool suit and the taping job on the inside looked like they spent a lot of time doing it. I can't wait to get it in three weeks like they promised. This review is long overdue. I picked up an Exo2 wetsuit 3/2 from these guys back when they started out as Carapace Wetsuits. I'm a short dude, towering at 5'4", so finding a good fit can be really tough. Andrew was really attentive and thorough with measurements, just like getting fitted for a tailored suit (if you haven't done that, totally recommend that too, in HK or Vietnam). I came in to get my rip curl suit repaired and Andrew repaired it for me right then and there. I ended up getting measured up for a custom springsuit my very first and man I don't know why I never looked into this. I'm pretty tall but never really had that much trouble fitting into a wetsuit but the custom fit was like wearing nothing. I'll probably be getting one of their full suits once winter hits. These wetsuits have changed the whole game... I'm a ocean photographer and surf and these suits are as good as it gets. Having a customized suit to match your body is incredible. You're that much warmer, and it's incredibly easy to slide right on. Also it being Yamamoto neoprene is killer. I've been in the water for 4 + hours and never get cold. Also they dry damn fast and the suit isnt water weighted. So when you get out you feel as if really nothing is on you. I'll never switch to a different suit brand. These guys have It dialed. Ordered a 2/2 and it fits perfect after breaking it in. Normally wore Xcel Drylock S/T (arms/legs too long) or M/S (torso too short). Also the head entry doesn't cling and tear at my hair like the Drylocks. Nice bonus was finding the stash/key pocket by the knee. Recently picked up a new Yamamoto backzip from 7TILL8. I'm super tall and have done custom wetties in the past, but I've never had as good an experience or come away with as excellent a wetsuit as this one from 7TILL8. The fit is perfect, the materials are premium and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Yah, a lot of gushy words there, but most of all the customer service was ALL TIME. Here's how it went down... I submitted my measurements and ordered online without talking-to or emailing anyone, all of which was a new experience for me and a bit of a leap of faith. In the past I've done fittings in-person and the end result would still be hit and miss, so I was a little sketched out being responsible for my own measurements - but their online tutorial was v easy to understand, and honestly, there aren't a lot of options for custom wetties out there so I was willing to try something new. The wetsuit arrived (as promised) in less than 3 weeks. But there was a problem, the fit was a little off in the belly, not as tight as I wanted it. I was bummed. It wasn't bad, but it's wasn't perfect either. And in my experience wetsuit makers are sort of like shapers, meaning, kind of tough to get ahold of, especially when you have a problem. But I sent an email about the possibility of alterations and received a response in less than 4 hours from Andrew, the head guy over there. He was committed to getting my fit completely dialed in ASAP. Completely free (of course) and returned to me in less than a week. All I had to do was shoot a photo of what was wrong and get it back to him. Done. Easy. Received my altered wetsuit in a week and it fit like a dream. So all that said, super quality materials, super sick fit, craftsmanship etc, in the end I was most impressed with 7TILL8's customer service and commitment to making my new wetsuit perfect. You know the feeling when a company already has your money you worry they won't care about you any more. That is NOT the deal at 7TILL8. The customer service was sooo responsive and knowledgable. And I'm sooo stoked with the end product. The finest wetsuit I've ever worn, and ever seen for that matter...Seriously tho, the taped seams on this are a work of art. Okay, so in closing let me just say this to rest of you normal sized surfers out there...this custom Yamamoto cost about the same price as a high-end Xcel off the rack suit from Jacks. But this was CUSTOM made for my body. It feels like butter, and it's tip-top of the line. Sure, it took about 3.5 weeks to dial it in completely, but the end result made it completely worth it. And dealing with Andrew along the way restored my faith in customer service altogether and even a little in humankind as well. Get one. read more

First and foremost, 7till8 make the best fitting wetsuits and uses the best materials in the industry. I have been surfing for several years now and never had a wetsuit fit me as well as the one from 7till8. I have always bought the "top of the line" from O'Neill ever since the "animal skin" with the zipper across the shoulders to their most recent "psycho" line. Don't get me wrong, I still think O'Neill makes great wetsuits, but they have never fit me well. Problem is I have broad shoulders due to surfing, but short arms and legs which makes it difficult to find the right fit. I tried XL/S to fit my shoulders, but the arms and legs were still a bit long and a L to fit my arms and legs, but the shoulders were too tight. With the measurements submitted to 7till8 I received a perfect fit, something I never had with the other manufacturers. Plus you can choose the material whether you prefer extra flexible or a little more warmth. Don't be intimidated by having to submit measurements on their website, it is extremeIy simple. I have purchased two suits (3/2 and 4/3) from 7till8 and both of are extremely warm and there is no wetsuit bunching around my wrists or ankles. With the other wetsuits I've owned I used to wash off the sand from my feet with all the water that collected near my ankles. That is the only downside of the 7till8 wetsuits, there is no longer any water collecting there. That is a small tradeoff for the superior warmth the 7till8 wetsuits provide. Anyone who's considering buying a wetsuit whether for diving or surfing should definitely get their wetsuit from 7till8. You will not regret it. read more
