What is immediately apparent once you walk into ET is just how much every single employee there genuinely wants to help you out however you need. There's zero pushy sales bs, and nothing but genuine interaction. We ended up getting a Ripcurl spring suit, some Sticky Bumps, and checking out their huge selection of boards. I was anxious to get a "real" board, but the guy helping us was kind enough to tell me to slow my roll. My kids are on Wavestormers and still getting a feel for it, and the guy suggested not to rush them past that stage. Much appreciated advice, and it means I am 1000% coming back to ET when they *are* ready for new boards. Anyway a friend casually suggested I try Rider Shack to repair my board. The guy taking in my board couldn't have been nicer and then he uttered the famous surfboard shop repair claim, "It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks'. Sure I thought to myself. But guess what? Approximate 9 days later I got my board back (!) and it was so well repaired I tipped the guy a few dollars to give to the repair guy, Jose, since I was so impressed. The capper was this. When I brought the board in I had forgotten to take the fins that the guy took off before taking in board for repair. I had forgotten I had left them at shop and searched my car throughout and then thought I must have forgotten the fins at the shop. So I called and Jeff (the owner) quickly found them and gave them to me. He even gave me an extra fin screw just in case I had lost mine. These guys rule. You definitely just gained a repeat loyal customer! Thx again. So appreciated.

I ordered a few boards to figure out what felt right and they were very accommodating. Two items were from their "clearance" section (blemished only, nothing really wrong with them) and one came a little warped. They offered to let me bring it in to let them take a look and ended up just replacing it. The boards are known for being great training tools for surfing. As if that wasn't enough to get you to go with a Carver, the employees I met were super chill but absolutely on top of things. Carver's boards are fantastic and their customer service is top notch. GO GET YOURSELF A CARVER and support a business that deserves every penny of what these things cost. * I dont work for them - just a surfer with a desire to surf even when the weather isnt cooperating. Half the staff is really nice friendly and very helpful, especially the older staff. Half the staff needs to work on hospitality and customer service(specifically the younger girls that work there). Spyder is not a cheap store so getting good customer service and feeling welcome is always important to me. I'd like to warn anyone shopping for clothes about the store. I just recently bought a skirt on the sale rack that I noticed was damaged, ripped, missing a button when I got home. I called immediately when I noticed the damaged skirt. The sales associate remembered me and told me that was the reason it was on the sales rack, because it was damaged. And she said told me it was final sale. I worked in retail for 3 years and I think that's a horrible. Purposely selling damaged clothes for a small percentage off. Not cool. She should have offered me my money back. I spend a couple hundred dollars today on clothes that's the least she could do. Very disappointed today with the service unfortunately. So to anyone shopping be careful with sale items. The associate told me they put damaged items on the sale rack and they do not warn the guests that they are damaged when purchasing.... not good... Richard and Tamara totally resolved my issue. They apologized and gave me a full refund for my damaged skirt. I really do enjoy Spyder surf shop. And I always recommend my friends go check it out for surf equipment.
