Brought my mom and my sister along for a whole family affair (and found out my mom has some secret pool shark skills and is possibly better than me). This place is clean and spacious, and the front desk guy was very down-to-earth and a real charmer. My boyfriend says the equipment is very well-kept and that this was the best pool hall he's been to around the city. We got there in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was super chill. No liquor license here, which didn't phase me, because there's a $1 SODA VENDING MACHINE, IT'S LIKE I TRAVELLED BACK IN TIME :D Also, no kitchen (that addition would most definitely make this a top tier place), but they at least have a vending machine for snacks, and I believe it's BYOB. We ended up staying till about 8:30pm or so, and it got super lively! There is a jukebox, both a ping pong and skee-ball table in the back room, a darts machine that I was going to play but missed out on because there's something even better; A WHOLE GAME CONSOLE SETUP. Not like your run-of-the-mill bar, BIG BUCK HUNTER and a PacMan arcade game machines. A mini gaming lounge you'd find in a worthy collector's man-cave. Not just one console in front of a TV. I mean a mega jealousy-worthy array. With Sega, SNES, N64 (the flourescent ones!), PS4, X-Box (gag) and a whole slew of other systems, some of which I've never even laid hands on a controller for; (think there was even an Atari in there). Let's be real; places like Barcade are cool, but for retro gamers like me who didn't spend too much time in arcades, being able to do a run-through of Sonic, Super Mario World, or try and teach your sister Toejam and Earl (like I did) on a console at a commercial setting is BOSS. Very decent prices for pool. The more players you bring, the lower the price, so with 4 of us, it was about $7 pp/hour. I can't wait to come back!

Cool place to come with friends late at night, I will say this location is 18+ so come with ID. Not…read moresure if it's the same past late hours. They don't allow outside drinks, but they do offer a full bar with vending machines. You can openly smoke inside, plenty of pool tables, loud music, and plenty of chairs to sit. Nice spot!

(Full disclosure: my father was actually really good but unfortunately I didn't inherit any of his 'pool shark' DNA.) Of the few local places that were around (one in Secaucus - near Red Lobster, that closed a long time ago - as well as Castle Billiards in East Rutherford) - Guys & Dolls was always the more affordable place, the one with more tables, and it seemed a bit more 'serious' since you were there to play (as opposed to a place that has booze and you're looking to get your buzz on and pool is secondary/an excuse). It's pretty bare bones (looks like they might've added a 'snack station' across from the cashier/counter) but the tables are in (pretty) good shape, the cues are decent and... you have room to shoot! (There's nothing more infuriating than your buddy who has a pool table in the basement but you can't take a decent shot without slamming into the walls. And let's not even get started when a pub has a pool table and you have to contend with countless people milling about and interrupting your game.) I've been coming here on and off for decades and no matter what time of day... that very first table (carom billiards, no pockets) - is always occupied with some deadly serious guys trying to best each other. That's how you can tell this place is legit. A few things have changed over the years (two Ping-Pong tables in the back corner?) but it's still pretty much the pool hall I recall from back in the day and that's a damn good thing. (The bathroom is pretty rough, I won't lie.) No Massé shots!

great for hanging out and just playing pool - no alcohol. There's vending machines and some snacks,…read morechill place!

We stopped in out of curiousity to grab some dinner since we were in the area. When we arrived, there was no hostess that greeted us. We were told by the bartender/server to sit anywhere we would like. It appeared that there was a meeting about to take place as many members were sitting at the bar ordering drinks. There were only a few tables and a huge bar in the middle of the room. We were handed a few menus and just kept it simple with some burgers. They were surprisingly delicious and tasted super fresh. All of the burgers/sliders came with a side of tater tots or fries. Service was kind of slow but there was only one woman handling the bar and serving food. Overall, I would definitely come back for some drinks and a bite to eat.

It was pretty empty, but still felt lively because the bartender made us feel welcome. Our bartender was super friendly and she had the best recommendations! There's beers on tap and lots of liquor on the shelf to choose from. The variety they had was really surprising to me. I usually like whiskeys and bourbons, but there were so many choices I wasn't sure what to try. Upon finding out I prefer sweeter drinks, she recommended the Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon. Her recommendations to others in our group was on point too. I will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

Service/drinks: the moment we walked in one of the bartenders asked if we had been before and thanked us for going. We were asked if we wanted drinks and given the blue Long Island recommendation. We went with that. The drink was good, as strong as long islands usually are. Food: we ordered a chicken quesadilla and French fries which were both good. The fries were crispy on the outside and were nice and hot when brought out. The quesadilla was cheesy with ample chicken and crispy on the outside. Both were good. Atmosphere: we were allowed to play immediately when we entered. We ate our food at a high top table near the Pool table which was convenient. The music playing was hip hop. Some songs I could do without but nonetheless it is a chill spot good for friends or a date night. We will be back again!
