Horrible customer service came with a party of 7 and the guy working in the front said he couldnt give us 2 tables so he handed us one set of balls and literally 2 minutes after we realized it wasnt going to work because they were closing in 40 minutes so we decided to leave. We hadnt even placed the balls on the table yet so we returned them and left. As we were walking out he yelled "where are you going you owe me money" we were so confused because we havent been in the establishment for more than 5 minutes but apparently we owed $34 for walking in. He then made a scene and threatened to call the police. We told him to do whatever he wanted to do and we werent paying because we literally walked in and changed our mind. Worst service ever we came to have fun and left pissed off at this idiot at the front desk. read more

I've known about this place for quite some time and finally got a ride out here! I'm one of those strictly-for-fun pool players, but my boyfriend is pretty serious about it. Brought my mom and my sister along for a whole family affair (and found out my mom has some secret pool shark skills and is possibly better than me). This place is clean and spacious, and the front desk guy was very down-to-earth and a real charmer. My boyfriend says the equipment is very well-kept and that this was the best pool hall he's been to around the city. We got there in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was super chill. No liquor license here, which didn't phase me, because there's a $1 SODA VENDING MACHINE, IT'S LIKE I TRAVELLED BACK IN TIME :D Also, no kitchen (that addition would most definitely make this a top tier place), but they at least have a vending machine for snacks, and I believe it's BYOB. We ended up staying till about 8:30pm or so, and it got super lively! There is a jukebox, both a ping pong and skee-ball table in the back room, a darts machine that I was going to play but missed out on because there's something even better; A WHOLE GAME CONSOLE SETUP. Not like your run-of-the-mill bar, BIG BUCK HUNTER and a PacMan arcade game machines. A mini gaming lounge you'd find in a worthy collector's man-cave. Not just one console in front of a TV. I mean a mega jealousy-worthy array. With Sega, SNES, N64 (the flourescent ones!), PS4, X-Box (gag) and a whole slew of other systems, some of which I've never even laid hands on a controller for; (think there was even an Atari in there). Let's be real; places like Barcade are cool, but for retro gamers like me who didn't spend too much time in arcades, being able to do a run-through of Sonic, Super Mario World, or try and teach your sister Toejam and Earl (like I did) on a console at a commercial setting is BOSS. Very decent prices for pool. The more players you bring, the lower the price, so with 4 of us, it was about $7 pp/hour. I can't wait to come back! read more

If someone would have asked me in the best, can you bring kids to a billiard ? Would have said no. Until my visit to Breakers Billiards. It it a family friendly athmosphere. The tables appear to be in new condition. They have vending machine for snacks and beverages. Just be aware this place doesn't a liquor license. The hockey and pin pong tables, that area could be improved. Saw two buckets filled with water which is why I hope it gets some upgrade.This is the reason why I deducted one star. They also have a good selection of video games with good lounging seats. Will I be back? For now, it will be for the billiards. Highly recommend it for that. read more

Good enough place if you want to shoot pool, however, there must have been a few tables of people who love Spanish hip hop, because that is what I was subjected to the entire time there. There is a jukebox, and one guy must have loaded the thing up, because it was non stop.Mind you, we were there for about 1.5 hours. And the speaker was directly above our table. My friends and I have been looking for new pool halls due to the one we usually go to is currently closed at the moment. We have come across this one through referral and decided to give it a shot. The first time, our experience was great. We went on a weekday; the staff was very friendly and accommodating and their tables were beautiful and well maintained. We love the condition of the tables, the cleanliness of the facility so we wanted to come back during the weekend. They were able to give us a special rate as this was available from Monday-Thursday, which we understood. We came back on a Saturday to enjoy our night. We all came in at staggered times since all of us were coming from different locations and obligations. However, I found it weird that the staff did not keep in track as to names and who came in at what time. We all enjoyed and had fun for the night... until when it came to us paying. To be clear, all of us are aware as to how pricing goes in pool halls (per person/ hr) as we are pool players who go around the state and even go to the city and NY to play. In the pool hall that we usually play in, it also goes by person per hour as well. Some of us left earlier than others and paid their "dues". I come to find out that the person behind the counter was charging fees for multiple people for ONE person and not for that individuals time. He charged one of my friends $75 for his time. My other friend asked the man in the counter as to why he was charged that amount, he said that amount was for 3 PEOPLE and he went ahead to charge it since our friend didn't bother to dispute it. (How is that right to do?) When it was my turn to pay, two of us were then charged $109+ and he claimed that it was for the people who were there for 8 hours. Mind you, I was not there for 8 hours and neither was the other person who was trying to pay. I come to find out later from my friends who left early that all of their charges did not seem to add up either. In addition to this, he also claimed that one person did not pay when he left and described him. (The day after, I asked him if he paid, and he said he did.) We did not have any other choice but to pay the residual fee. In addition to this, we didn't appreciate the man's attitude towards us as if we were trying to get out of paying when we honestly just didn't understand why were we charged in this manner. This was beyond frustrating, completely ruining our nights and ruining our attitudes towards this place. This facility needs to get organized when it comes to charging people as this will be a continuing issue for ANYONE that has a larger party who joins in different times. As much as we love this place for its renovations and well maintained tables, it will save my pool friends and I a headache, and the feeling of being mistreated if we were to not come back.. read more

I've only been here twice and both times I really had nothing to complain about. The manager up front is always kind and helpful and there are plenty of tables to get the fun going but as one other Yelper has mentioned they do not have a liquor license so no drinks :-( Aside from this minor hiccup the place is spacious but certainly shows it's age. It wouldn't hurt the owner to spend a little money to do some reno and update it to keep it relevant. I mean I feel like I step back in time whenever I'm here--like the "Beat It" entourage is gonna start something or someone's gonna start singing "Girls Just Want To Have Fun." (Extra points if you know what decade in time I'm referring to). Also the one night when I came here my buddies and I were literally the oldest people, aside from the manager, who were there. Everyone looked like they were still in high school. I shudder every time I observe them and think back if I was ever that dumb or naive. Anyways I guess the late night showing of the Hunger Games finished and Mr. One Direction over there decided to be cool and shoot some pool with his "homeboys"... I lovee this place, I go every Wednesday and occasionally on the weekends. They have a ton of pool tables, air hockey, ping pong and arcade games. Prices are super cheap and the lady whose always working there is really really nice. Its a cool place to just go kick back and play some pool. No issues what so ever. read more

Group of friends and I always go there at least once or twice a month. On a recent visit, the lady behind the counter over charged us then when asked she proceeded to tell you went over 5 minutes. I'm willing to pay what is due but her attitude leaves a lot to be desired for. It came across as someone kicked her dog. Before there used to be a guy behind the counter we never had any issues. I had a great time here. I think if it had a liquor license this place will be packed. But it's also good for us that we don't have to wait for our turn for the pingpong table or pool table. The staff and owner is great. This is our new spot on weekdays most likely! You really only pay for rental fee it's really cheap to play here. It's not the prettiest spot but it's reasonable for the price they offer! It would be great to bring lots of people here. So if you're bored and want to shoot some pool or play some table tennis then this is your spot. You can bring beer or wine though I wouldn't because I would lose any games I play simply because I'd see too many balls! Lol read more

Growing up breakers was the place to be. Summer night? Let's go to breakers, snowing? Let's crack a few. The place hasn't changed in the past 15 years, not for the better any way. The felt is worn, every house cure is crooked or missing the tip, the floors have duct tape on them. They wouldn't get four stars if it wasn't for their awesome staff.
