This is right on the cruise terminal port and quite easy to walk to. The check in area is in a hotel called Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel. I would recommend to check in early as 15 minutes before your tour departs, they guide you to the water shuttle. Once you get on the water shuttle, it takes you to the submarine. You need to be able to climb a ladder to get into the submarine. The space is a little on the tight side and there are no backs to the seats so work on your abs before the trip! The air inside was cool and constantly recirculating so it did not feel stuffy. Everyone gets their own porthole to look into the ocean and there are fish identification cards in front of you. The submarine can get to 100 ft pretty quickly and I was surprised that my ears did not get plugged up. We saw lots of fish that day. Some get really close to the submarine. We even saw a school of fish! My only disappointment is color. At those depths, everything has a blue tinge so sometimes it was hard to identify the fish. The operators and tour guides were so nice and informative. This was one of the best tours I've had on this trip. Thanks again for a great excursion!

This will give you 1 hour complimentary parking. Once parked, you enter the resort and the Flight of Aloha station will be towards your left. If lost, then you can ask any of the hotel's staff member, and they will guide you. Once we arrived, there was a sweet female employee working. She was really polite, professional, informative, and genuine. We were able to purchase the tickets on the spot and even secured a time slot for our group only. Restrooms are located further down, and you will need a hotel card to unlock the restrooms, which their staff will give you. Just be sure to return it before you leave. We were then guided into a room with neon markers. We wrote on the walls as we were told. Lots of signatures were on the board. Then we took a group photo in the same room, which we were given access to a free digital copy. We were then aaked to be seated for a pre-show, which was good. Then we were escorted to the theater room. They say the first and middle rows are best. We took the middle row since there were 5 of us plus 1 lap infant (almost 5 months old). They allowed my baby to come as long as she would be secured in my baby carrier. You do have to secure your seat belt during the show. It wasn't scary at all. It was fine with my almost 5 month old once secured in my baby carrier. It can be a bit loud so I covered my baby's ears. Then also had her burp cloth covering the back of her head as the staff member did inform me to anticipate water splashes intermittently. Those intermittent splashes did startle my baby a bit, but overall, she did great. The water spashes weren't that bad either. They did not have our seats bounce too much probably because of the baby, which was nice. Overall, the show was beautiful! It was such a nice way to see the different parts of the islands. Recognized most of them too. Very immersive overall- scents, water sprays, air pressure under the feet, etc. Would recommend! I prefer not to go on a helicopter, so this was a great alternative. My wife, Kallie, and I had not done a full open-water dive since 2017, so when we planned our Kona…read moretrip, we decided to return to Jack's Diving Locker--the same company we had dived with back in 2008, according to our dive logs. The booking process was extremely easy. I called with several questions, and the staff was helpful, informative, and reassuring. Because it had been so long since our last actual dive, we chose to book a private divemaster for the two of us. We had completed a refresher in June 2025 for a planned dive weekend that unfortunately never happened, so we knew we would probably be a little rusty. Jack's also saved the day before we even got in the water. My personal Atomic prescription mask unexpectedly failed when the strap attachment tore out of the mask itself. I was worried I would either have to cancel or spend the dives as "Mr. Magoo," but the shop had prescription masks available and fitted me with one that worked perfectly. That level of preparedness and customer service made the entire dive day possible for me. Our divemaster, Sabrina, was absolutely fantastic. She was pleasant, friendly, social, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient throughout the entire experience. During our first dive, I had some difficulty clearing my ears. Sabrina stayed calm and helped me work through it, reminding me of techniques I had used years ago when I was diving more regularly and occasionally had "bad ear days." Both Kallie and I were a little rusty on that first dive, but Sabrina never rushed us or made us feel uncomfortable. By the second dive, my ear issues had resolved, we were both much more relaxed, and the old muscle memory started coming back--including some of what I learned during my Peak Performance Buoyancy certification. The difference between the first and second dives was huge, and Sabrina's patience and guidance were a major reason why. Sabrina also went above and beyond outside the dives themselves. While chatting with us about the rest of our trip, she recommended the Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm as a "must visit." We had somehow missed it in our planning, immediately looked it up, and booked the VIP experience, where Kallie and I each get to hold a seahorse twice. That recommendation made our trip even better. I would recommend Jack's Diving Locker--and Sabrina as a private divemaster--**100,000% and without hesitation** to anyone, especially divers returning after a long break. The entire experience was professional, safe, relaxed, accommodating, and genuinely fun. (im not sure how to spell his name Taco and Max, and they were great, and funny! We saw so many manta rays, probably 5 within the first 3 minutes and then they just kept coming, and got to see dolphins and some sharks. They all had names for the manta rays which was cool too. I got salt water in my eyes a little before it was over and they were awesome letting me go back to the boat and making sure I made it back there. Its definitely a little freaky at first but you are out there will a bunch of other companies and people. Seeing how calm Taco and the other guides from other companies were really helped and its VERY well lit. Lights pointing out from the shore, on the boats, and the boards are bright. They get right up close and personal one even touched me. The guys we had are extremely knowledgeable and clearly love their jobs. They also had a check in point where you met with someone and they gave you a run down of everything. We had 3 people stay on the boat and they still had a great time. No one made them feel bad for staying and they saw the manta rays and dolphins and the dolphins were very clearly seen. It was an amazing night.

We did the tour which was about one hour long. The tour was educational. We learned about their food sources, how they're born and raised, and their predators. We feed them and each of us held one. At the end, we looked through the small aquarium full of seahorses. There's also a small petting area where you get to interact with a few other sea creatures. It was a cool, unique experience.

It's almost like I had been stung by wasps and the venom was eating me from the inside. Their employees are all "new." They don't know what is going on. Some of them try, but most are as bad as putting your hand in a garbage disposal with it on. All you pull back is a bloody stump. It's utterly appalling the Sheraton is in cahoots with these people. Outrageous prices for equipment rentals! Towel nazis! Victoria, go harass someone else at the pool, not paying guests! Se la vie.
