I certainly wasn't delivering the mail. Place was somewhat well organized but the inventory seemed slim. Items I was looking for weren't available. Prices also seemed on the higher side. Employee was busy with something else, not a customer but some behind the counter paperwork stuff, and whenever I had a question about price or whatnot, or wanted to see something behind the counter I had to try to get his attention. Probably could've been out of there in less than 10 minutes but because of the employee I was there for 30 minutes or more. Lots of little issues and some major glaring problems force me to hand out 1 star. I'd say it might be better next time, but I'm not sure my first visit left me wanting to revisit.

Retail prices (for what I got) are fair - but then they charge a "double tax" meaning 10% + 10%... Back when I used to come by they'd never charge me any tax at all. Again, maybe new staff/management? Either way, my points are gone and the double tax thing ain't it. It's not about the little money. Everything I wrote about cleanliness, customer service, and their vast selection of items still applies except for those 2 major things.

The tobacco selection is a bit limited, but I keep coming back because it's easy and reliable. Today was frustrating though. I wanted to get things done before the rain started. I checked the hours online it said they open at 9. I showed up around 9:30a and the store was closed. The hours posted on the storefront also said they were supposed to be open at 9am. I figured someone might be running late, so I went grocery shopping and came back around 10:30. Still closed. Got home, unloaded my groceries. I tried calling both phone numbers listed on Google and Yelp multiple times and never got an answer. If someone had just picked up and said they were running late, I would have waited and come back. After nearly two hours past opening time with no communication, I ended up taking my business somewhere else. I like this place, but reliable hours and communication really matter.

I typically use cash but their ATM was out of service so I had to use my card to purchase 7 packs of Marlboro reds and a small torch. I had to pay a dollar extra per pack for using my card (13.99) Then I see the total is 117. And it doesn't make sense but I think oh the extra money for the card and I feel weird questioning cashiers already so I let it go. But as I'm driving home the math really wasn't mathin. So I called the guy to ask about the total. He says I used by card and 'bye ma'am' I say real quick what is the price of the torch? He said 8 dollars with tax. I said it's still not adding up is that taxes increasing it? He says yes and bye ma'am again. I was overcharged. The end.
