We provided them with our desired timeline of completion by father's day weekend in June (4 months) to which they agreed was more than reasonsable. We put down a deposit for the work and that's when problems began. Despite several requests via email and voice mails requesting a projected start date, we were ingnored and our messages went without response. It wasn't until I requested to terminate the contract and get a refund that a representative from DKT contacted me, apologized for the problems, identifying unexpected personnel turnover as the reason for our problems but that work will be beginning on June 14 and will most likely be completed within three weeks. DKT did show up on the morning of June 14 and began demolition of one of the bathrooms, removing the shower, toilet and sink/vanity, a solid day's work. However, that's where work has stopped for the last 3 weeks. Now we have a semi-demolished bathroom, with material sitting on our walkway and are again experiencing unanswered messages regarding our projects. The chronic inconsistency, poor communication and lack of progress, as well as what seems to be habitual over-promising and under-delivering has made this entire process and experience one you should avoid.

The kitchen looks nice with how they expanded our work space but the cabinets they installed are junk particle board n with water prone areas, they have blistered, cracked, faded and drawers fell apart. This post is for anyone that is looking for a contractor that they want to trust!…read more I think I figured it out. I want to tell you about our journey. So, just finishing up two bathrooms: our master bathroom and a second-floor hall bathroom, that share a wall. The hall bathroom is approximately 8x10 and the master bath is 10x10, 100-year-old Mt. Lebanon home. The Hall bath is original mud set. So, started the process two years ago and my wife and I struggled to find a contractor. Our primary goal was "peace of mind." We wanted to find someone that had vision, did quality work, and would give us options that would fit within a reasonable budget. And, honesty, after a while, all the contractors start to sound the same...."tell us what you want." And the prices were sometimes hard to fathom and while our initial goal was $60K for both bathrooms, we actually had bids in the $90-100K range. Crazy. After almost losing hope, I was introduced to Jeff through a friend that I could consider "exceptionally meticulous," lol, or picky! And the fact that this friend had nothing but positive things to say about Jeff meant a lot. Look at the pictures, they speak for themselves. What you need to know is that Jeff is onsite and a hands-on contractor. He also has a really great team. He is SUPER meticulous and thinks through obstacles as they arise. When you are opening 100-year-old walls, you sometimes come across surprises and obstacles. I was so impressed by Jeff's vision and how he would thing through these challenges. Further, he has a very strong "design" sense, as the project moved forward, he would bring up ideas to improve the beginning vision and they were always great. As an example, our walk-in closet shared a wall with our master bathroom and now we have a new second floor laundry room/walk in closet. It has changed our life! Jeff's estimate did not change aside from add-ons that made sense as the project progressed. His labor costs were mid-point to our bids and while we went over budget, it was our choice because of the materials we chose to use. And why am I posting all this, you might ask? I've been in sales my entire career, and it's my fundamental belief that when you identify true, trusted professionals, you help them. The last thing I will say about Jeff is that you can trust him. He cares about his reputation and wants to see his customers thrilled. He is responsible and will diligently work on your project until it is done. He gave us our "peace of mind." Please feel free to contact me at 412-849-5156 to discuss.

Well, it's been close to a year now and I'm pretty sure that feeling may never go away. My wife and I still can't get over how happy we are with the results. From the beginning of the project, John was a pleasure to work with. He provided us with detailed schematics of the layout, and after a few iterations, we signed the contract and the work began. The one and only hiccup during the project was the cabinet delivery date, but this was at the tail end of Covid and he had forewarned us to expect a possible delay in the delivery. If you're considering having any cabinet work done in your home I highly recommend John Davis. He is a professional and a perfectionist, not to mention a very kind person. Thank you John for giving us the kitchen of our dreams!

I brought this to the attention of the owner Jimmy (a real character), and he blamed it on my cleaning products(WATER)! After a few trips to his office about this over months of wasted time he had found out it was a finish issue. I was told by him there's several other of their jobs that this happened to also. He claimed that he would resolve this issue by sanding, staining and refinishing them IN MY HOUSE??? Seriously? Since my last visit(a year ago) I have learned he had "attempted" to fix one of the other mistakes and failed miserably. The aforementioned customer was forced to accept a subpar finish they didn't originally choose and then sign a disclaimer that Kabinet Koncepts was no longer responsible for said cabinets after that. My white cabinetry is completely yellow at this point and an absolute eyesore. If I had to do it again I would have went to Dream Kitchen, ManorHouse or Patete like my wife wanted to. I am writing about my experience with Kitchen and Bath Gallery in Fairmont. For anyone needing…read morekitchen or bath remodeling or repair I would avoid them at all cost. Kitchen & Bath Gallery is extremely unprofessional, vastly overcharge, do shoddy work and refuse to fix their many mistakes. This is the worst company that has ever done any work for me. First off , they charge $100 just to give an estimate. I have never had any other company do that and I have had several doing work on our house since we bought it. They all gave FREE estimates. My husband and I had them to install 2 new toilets, a bathroom sink faucet, ceramic tile flooring in a very tiny half bath, install a shower head( which looks horrible and is an eyesore because of the shotty job they did), remodel our basement shower with tile, install an outside faucet, replace our kitchen faucet, install a non vented range hood, and a garbage disposal. We ended up having them come back several times to fix the things they messed up. First the shower they tiled: the shower floor tiles started coming up the first time the shower was used. They tried to blame us for getting the wrong tile when they never told us what to get in the first place. After several times of them coming out and putting more glue and grout down only for them to keep coming loose they finally told us what tile to get and they came back out to install it. The tiny bathroom where they tiled the floor had grout that was cracking so I called them and they came out to fix it. Well now the grout lines look like crap because he used a different color grout the second time and there is still places where the grout is cracking and coming out. I also told him about the shower head that they installed that doesn't work right and looks terrible. He said he took a picture and would send it to his boss who would get a hold of me about what they could do about it. He never contacted me. To put the topping on the cake. I was using the kitchen faucet when the entire faucet came off the base of the sink. We tried to see if we could fix it only to find that a part that would screw it down is totally missing. I got my instruction manual out to be sure and the part they show is not there so I have no idea how he rigged it on there but it is now off. I called them up hoping they could tell me what happened or come out to fix it since the piece that is supposed to be there is not there and he tells me that I will be charged for a service call. We decided if we were going to have to pay to have it fixed we would just call a professional since they had already screwed it and many other things up. We spent a good bit of money with them and we were not happy at all. I would look elsewhere for more professional people.
