The bare wires to our lamps that didnt work.

BEWARE!! Don't stay here!!!! If pictures can say a thousand words look at the photos below. You could give refunds to people who see these rooms and want to run. I'm out $135 but at least I left with my life. I guess it is a lesson learned.

Stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect! Spacious room and comfy beds. The room was very clean and very colorful, other than the two beds we also had a desk and chair and then a small table with 2 chairs. Bathroom was kind of small but was still useable. The AC wasn't the best (just a window unit) but it cooled down at nights so we were still comfortable. The shower also did not drain the best but would probably be fixed if we asked for it since they were so accommodating and helpful! Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. TV has directTV and had tons of channels, Wi-Fi as well although it wasn't the best but good cell service so not really needed. Right off the highway but was still quiet, tons of security cameras outside which helped us feel safer. Nick and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very friendly!!! Always asked if we needed anything else or would just stop and chat with us if we were sitting outside. Let us borrow a knife to cut some food we had bought and helped fix our AC immediately since our first one wasn't working at all. I think the people who leave bad reviews don't realize this isn't a hilton, for a 2 star hotel it was very nice! We paid a little over $100 a night and I think was pretty reasonable. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

This is a historical road side inn. Formerly the Lincoln Manor. It has definitely kept its historical integrity. The colors are a fun pop to add some character. If you are looking for a unique but simple experience and not the same blah hotel. I only stayed a night and I didn't require anything more than a bed, shower and a roof. The man who runs it was very kind and be sure to check out his awesome gem collection at the front! Quiet, simple and pretty neat experience.

Oh where do I begin! If you drive by this place, keep on driving! This place needs HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE really bad or a tear down! My husband and I only chose this place because it was pet friendly we booked a room for 4 days, we could only take one night! And just count our losses, because our health is important! The room made us sick! It was so embedded with pinesol. The decor was off the wall, and it was bizarre our room was slanted. The next morning we checked out, no refund offer or a partial.

I am so happy I found this little hotel. I was out in the area on a bit of a spiritual journey and though I only saw one review for it on priceline, I decided to trust my intuition and stay the night there. The hotel is very cute. It's easy to tell a lot of love was poured into this place. The rooms are actually separate detached small houses that have front porches with deck chairs that look out onto an amazing view. The rooms have everything a furnished studio apartment would contain: bed, bath, and small breakfast nook/eat-in kitchen with a refridgerator, microwave, and coffee pot (the coffee is quite good). My room was colorfully painted, quirky, and felt like home. But that wasn't the best part. Nick, the owner is a highly educated (he has a degree from a Harvard-equivalent university in India) and deeply spiritual man. From the moment I walked in the office our energies matched and we launched into a deep conversation about his true passion, gemology, and the science behind it, as well as Vedic astrology. It was an incredibly memorable conversation that also digressed into other spiritual subjects, such as Campbell's The Hero's Journey - which is meaningful to both of us. Nick offered to give me my Vedic horoscope the next day, and the things the charts revealed about my past were amazingly accurate down to the precise month and year. He then shared details about my future. He also shared what gemstones would work best with my energy (based on the horoscope). So why does this man with a love and gift for gemology and Vedic astrology run a hotel? Because he wants to keep his true passion pure and not be attached to any financial outcome. I know that this is a strange review to share about a hotel, but it's not just a hotel. It's a stop on a spiritual journey. At least it was for me. :)

It's like having your own little cabin. However, with the price of the room, it is definitely something that you can expect for the price value. Cleanliness is superb. I have a big problem with the multicolored walls. I honestly believe that if they went a more traditional route, this place would give the impression of elegance and classiness; instead, it just looked amateur. I would like to say that one of the things that made this stay worth it were the employees. Very professional and very attentive to my questions and concerns.

After having rude encounters with one motel receptionist after another between Joshua tree and twenty nine palms I was so happy to find 9 palms motel. The guy who checked me in was SO nice and kind. A gem of a human, truly! And the rooms were very reasonably priced. The cheapest by far of all the places we stopped. And the rooms were clean and colorful. Nothing fancy. But perfect for what me and sweetie wanted. This motel was so comfortable we really considered restructuring our whole trip just to stay there longer:)

The Inn is super welcoming. Lydia at the front desk was kind and responsive to my changing needs (i kept adding days.) Nearly every person staying here that I met were displaced Angelenos. Morning breakfast (great selection) was a place to connect and grieve. At night, dinner in the restaurant was an escape from the news. I like sitting at the bar. I met a slew of locals who were super kind and welcoming. Cowboy. TJ. Vickie. And a host of others... They made me feel like a regular immediately. Carrie (Kari?) the bartender was top notch - attentive, talkative and enthusiastic. I met her fab parents and even shared goodbye hugs. (That's a good human!) Ashley (the manager) was equally wonderful on Sunday night. I was entertained by visiting artists each night too. Bowdie welcomed me regularly. I stayed in the Bottle Room (my fave) for three nights and Goldenbush for 2. Goldenbush is quieter and more light but the Bottle room has a tub! Much needed after a stressful getaway from LA. Plus, I left my laptop and the cleaning crew - two warm women- made sure I was notified immediately. This is my 4th stay at the Inn. The proximity to the park is perfect. I can't express enough how much this place means to me. Thanks 29 Palms. You are funky, and clean, and beautiful, and dry (my God is it dry here) and filled with nice personal touches (lunch options are deeply appreciated.) May you live long and prosper. Until we meet again. I hope we do.

We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in instructions were sent via email and there's a code to unlock the room. The grounds are very pretty, perfect for a desert wedding or party. There are great views all around and there aren't any neighbors nearby. It looks like they own a lot of acreage nearby. The room we stayed in was the Onyx room. It was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. There are lots of nice additions in the room to ensure you enjoy staying in from wine glasses, a wine fridge, record player with a record collection, bath salts, star gazing area outside with a mattress, and comfy robes and slippers to use during your stay. If it were warmer, I definitely would've tried out the outdoor tub and shower but it was too cold at night to even think about it. There's also a large community pool in the works. As mentioned earlier, this hotel is about a mile from the NP so it's an excellent choice for anyone going there. It's also not too far from town so you're not too far from stores and cafes. I am definitely planning on staying here again!

It had been over ten years…read moresince our last visit and we were in the area for a stargazing event so it provided a great home base for our desert adventure. Driving up to the Campbell House is like going back in time. I could imagine driving up that dry dusty bumpy road in a Model T covered in dust. Seeking out the health benefits of the dry climate that were touted by medical practitioners at the time. The last time we visited Campbell House was probably in 2012 or 2013. Our lives were much different then but we still had find memories of the place. We arrived around 2:30 and made out way to the main house. We opened the large red door and walked across the creaky floor into the small office. The main house has a lot of character. The smell of stale furniture polish and old linen permeates the air. The walls are thick and made up of stones that I can assume had been gathered locally and painstaking bonded together to form a desert architectural masterpiece. Check-in was easy and we were assigned the Artifacts Cottage which is another stone structure on the outer perimeter of the property next to the cistern which is no longer used. The cottage was pretty spacious. It had a queen size bed, a modular couch, and a kitchenette complete with an actual fridge. The bathroom was surprisingly large. Outside there was a small porch with a table and chairs. The views from the windows were incredible. My only criticism is the wifi was spotty and there weren't any USB chargers. Continental breakfast is offered in the main house. Hardboiled eggs, sous vide egg bites, and bacon are just some of the items available. The dining room, which I believe was probably a living room at some point, was beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The day we arrived staff was setting up tables for an event that evening so there were lots of things scattered around. There is a pool on the property as well that looked very inviting.

But once you see the palm trees in the distance, head down the little dirt road, you feel like you have entered a private oasis. The house and property have quite a story to tell. We found freshly baked cookies upon our arrival, along with chilled water and coffee in the dining room/sitting room. Peggy was so friendly and helpful to us, as was the rest of the staff. We stayed in the Sunset cottage at the back of the property. It was nice and quiet and very private. We had a little porch out front that looked off into the desert. Our cottage had a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, dishes, microwave and plenty of counter space if you are going to heat up leftovers from one of the restaurants or fix a small meal. In the kitchen was a table for two. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the living room cozy. There were plenty of windows to let the light in, and at night step out on the porch for views of stars. The bathroom was huge, and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The property is large, with outbuildings and cottages, a game room near the pool and a pool house where you will find towels for the pool. Each morning between 7am and 9am you will find a continental breakfast in the main house dining room, sitting area. We had coffee/tea, pastries and muffins, along with sausage, hard-boiled eggs and egg casserole muffins. The perfect start to a day in Joshua Tree National Park. Each afternoon we found warm cookies back in the dining area. It truly was an incredible stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Twentynine Palms. Our room was definitely no frills, but was clean and relatively comfortable. Overall it was pretty spare and the huge walk in closet was just a mostly empty space with a clothes rack and shelf with a few non-stealable hangers. But it was very much OK. It was quiet, comfortable and most importantly, clean. What bumped up the rating was the friendly positive service from the front desk staff. Upon checking in, she said she wanted to put us in a nicer room, double queen instead of a king, but would have more room. We had a minor problem with getting the tub to drain.
