The service is amazing - lovely salesperson Jess spent about 45 minutes helping me choose a running shoe and was cheerful and patient the whole time, even though she probably wanted to throw a shoe at my head. Also, if you sign up to their loyalty program and end up buying the wrong shoes, you can return them within 30 days even if they have been used once or twice - really helpful for peanuts like me, who obviously have trouble making decisions.

Looking to get myself a pair of Tigers, the staff were really knowledgable about the history of this retro-cool brand and how their original trainers from the 40's have now become fun street wear while the serious running business has taken off with ASICS. I probably wouldn't normally notice stuff like this when buying sneakers, but having been flat-out ignored at no less than 5 other branded sports stores, this turned out to be a more review-worthy experience. The store links in with an ASICS concept store too, so if you need to get your gait checked and all the heavy duty stuff, you can run in next door. Otherwise, just enjoy the colours and stuff available at the Tiger store, some of which are exclusive to the concept stores. I liked a pair of street shoes but got talked into some comfier run-arounds that also suit light exercise - which is what I was actually after. I hadn't been expecting anything more than straight forward sales here, so it's good to know you can get some decent advice even just for every day shoes.

The warmth of my Abercrombie & Fitch jumper…read more A few months ago i stayed at a friends and had to borrow a jumper to crash in, I was completely shocked by how warm this jumper was (my plan was to 'accidentally' take it home but i felt bad), so I took a shopping trip down to QV and found Frat House. Frat House imports a few brands not commonly found in Australia and thank the all-mighty lord that they do. I purchased my blue A&F jumper from here and it is so versatile. I use it for sleeping, jogging and lounging around the house. The quality is just that grand! After a whole heap of washes the jumper has also kept it's quality! The store is a tad tacky with some of the designs but you can find some pretty plain ones that will suit your everyday needs!

Frat House claims to embody "American Style, Australian Attitude."…read more Presumably because of this slogan, pretty much everything in sight is plastered with Abercrombie & Fitch logos. Now Abercrombie is the ultimate in American preppy styling (they are going for a "collegiate" vibe apparently) and it does have some quite nice stuff on occasion. However, it can be quite frustrating when you find yourself something you like only to realise that it is splashed with branding. Just like the rest of Frat House's stock, Abercrombie could really do with being toned down a bit. While there is a fair amount of trashy stock at Frat House, you can also find yourself some classics. Just beware of the excessive branding.
