This is a really fun place to go when you're bored, because you'll always have fun walking up and down all of these isles. They have so many unusual things at really great prices. You can't beat this place for storage boxes and containers of all kinds. I actually bought a couple of 2'x3' hand woven rugs to put on the walls in my living room. They really match my rustic decor and they were only $3.99 apiece! In the spring and summer, you can't beat them for all kinds of gardening supplies. They have a huge assortment of flower pots of all shapes and sizes in plastic, ceramic, stone, wood - as well as potting soil and plant hangers, etc. I bought three beautiful macramé plant hangers there, and they look great on my patio with pretty hanging plants. They were only about $3.49 each. This should be your go-to store for any kind of holiday decorations. They have a huge assortment of every kind of holiday decor you could imagine. They are not $.99 or even $1.25 like the Dollar Store, but the prices are still lower than you'll find anywhere else. It's a great place to purchase things such as canned goods and peanut butter and packaged mixes, etc. There are some offbrands, but there are also some brand names of some items. Occasionally the clerks are not very friendly (took one star off for that) but then some are very friendly. I still highly recommend this store. read more

I visited this store on October 18th. several weeks after the tragedy and to my shock and dismay the stores floors were filthy every aisle everywhere filthy. I shop this store every 2weeks and I've never seen a mess like this. I'll give management another chance maybe I went on a day that staff was short nevertheless the stores appearance was appalling. Please do better or you will truly lose your valued customers. read more

I've never been to a 99 cent store unit I moved to Hanford! I love this place, you can find some really unique items here haha. I love getting all my holiday decorations here as well, they don't look cheap at all for the price you're paying! I also noticed that they have a lot of healthy options that typically would cost a lot more at regular grocery stores. I honestly don't know why this place has such low ratings. I would stay away from most of the produce here, it doesn't look the greatest, but definitely check out the items in the refrigerator section! The Hummus they sell is pretty tasty and I always pick up a container or two when I'm there. I have noticed almost every time I go here there's always someone standing outside by the door asking for money and I've been followed to my car once by a man asking for money so that was a little sketchy haha. I was recently a customer in the store and at my time of pain I was approached by a woman who claims she was a manager there she did have on employee clothing but no name tag she then proceeded to accuse me of theft tell me to empty my purse those are the first things that came out of her mouth before she asked me anything else I'm a regular shopper there and I was quite embarrassed she continued to argue with me at that moment I told her go ahead and call law enforcement and I'll cooperate with him if necessary then she walked away from me and I didn't see her after that I didn't end up buying anything in the store for other reasons but that experience was not only embarrassing but rather rude and hurtful it really had an effect on me I won't be shopping there anymore and I will be letting it be known the experience I had there and hopefully others follow my path people like that can really ruin a company and she's on the verge to do that read more

A dolla makes me holla! had to say that. ANYWAY. My favorite 99 cent store cause i dont feel like i am going to get mugged and raped in the parking lot like at the other dollar store, haha. No, really...Anyway. It's bigger than the other, so therefore, they have more of a variety. You'll find weird stuff in here, like produce. Myself, I usually dont get food from here, but my bff & soon to be mother in law loves this place & it's not a big deal for her to get food from here. I've eaten many a tasty dish made from both their dolla store food, and i'm still alive so i guess it's all good, haha. What i do get from here are office supplies (post its are this girl's obssession), gift wrapping supplies, candy, & some holiday items. it's a good place to go if you need cheap supplies for crafts too but buyer beware - some stuff is SO cheap because it was made specifically FOR the dollar store. oh! i will say there is one really nice lady who works the register. she is SO sweet & shame on me for not knowing her name, but she totally deserves a shout out. some of the people that patron there make walmart customers look classy...and she's sweet to each and every one of those scary creatures, myself included, haha. read more

Congrats Hanford for having the worst 99 cent store in the STATE!! First i was in the bathroom with someone obviously pooping. I got done. Was washing my hands this girl left the bathroom. Didnt wash her hands. Guess what she ended up checking me out. I almost puked. I counted standing in line at checkout. My line had 12 people. Other line had 15. No extra help was notified. U cant go wrong here..from baby wipes, kids tooth brushes, peanuts, & socks. I love to buy ceramic plates, bowls, mugs (i break these all the time, y pay more for fine china?). They also have party supplies, greeting cards, picture frames, batteries, nightlights, hand sanitizer, deodorant, soy milk, coconut water, balsamic vinegar, pistachios, large cans of rotell (know that u spend double/triple for these items at target or Wal-Mart). They seem to get new items weekly. Hundreds of items to chose from... I would recommend u to shop early n the morning! They open at 745a :-) & make it a habit to check the expiration dates on the food items. read more

Today I left my basket in the aisle and I walked out of the store. There were only 2 register's open and there were so many people waiting to be checked out it was impossible to form a functional line to either of the register's. Having such a big store and considering this is a franchise it makes no sense why they are so understaffed. I shop at this store often and this is a consistent issue. Yes there are good deals at this store, and I will go there from time to time only to get things that are 99 cents. I hate that the name says one thing and the price is not ONLY 99 cents.
