First of let me start by saying I really don't like working out. I have always found it boring and I tend to look for reasons to justify not going. This place totally changed that! From the moment I stepped in I just found it to really fit me. It's a quick workout, about 30 min. You can start at anytime so you don't have to follow a schedule. They work your rear end off while you are there. They teach you a lot of very simple things that honestly you could do anywhere but yet so effective. For those that have never been there, there is basically 9 stations and you do 3 min in each station. About 1/2 you have boxing gloves for and 1/2 just a hand wrap. Every week has different variations of workouts in each station with the exception of the jump rope. All I can say is that I am miserable by the end of the 9 rounds, feel great on the drive home and look forward to going back as soon as I can. That my friends...has never happened to me before. Can I just say how disappointed I am in how 9 rounds has gone down! I was there three times this week and barely got an explanation of the round. Twice not even a hello or goodbye. Today the trainer couldn't be bothered to even say 30 seconds while she literally put her head on the counter. Did I mention I was the only one there until round 5 which is where my heart monitor finally hit yellow. So miss the days of Richard, Ryan and D when you would actually get a trainer to work you out! Really enjoy 9Round. Been a member 10 months. Very intense workout that varies every day so I never get bored. Trainers are nice and helpful - guide you to do proper form and bump up the intensity when you need it. I never thought I would say this but I look foreword to my workouts! read more

Got an introduction to this gym when attending St. Luke's Spirit of Women day. Went to try it out and loved it. However this is the closest location to me and its still a ways away. If there was a closer location I'd consider joining. Prices are higher than some of the other places. read more

I love 9 round Des Peres and all the trainers. I was completely out of shape with no stamina when I began. They have worked with my skill set and fitness needs very well. I joined 9Round in May and I'm completely happy with my choice! This place pushes me like no other! I love that there is no class times or classes to sign up for or that you have to cancel if something comes up, because we all know life happens! So you aren't depriving someone else of getting into the gym. You just show up and jump in on the next bell. Very friendly trainers and they are always watching you and making sure your form is correct. They will provide modifications if and when needed. They will make sure you are using the correct technique when hitting the bags. Oh, and the very best part...punching something!! Because punching people is generally frowned upon...LOL! read more

The two stars are for the two trainers I interacted with while at the kirkwood location. After receiving a promotional email for a six week program I booked a consultation for my orientation. Since I do not live close by I choose the later time period offered and planned around traffic. I received a confirmation email and was super excited to jump start on my fitness in the new year. After arriving I was informed that there was an error in the automated emailing system and there were no longer any open spots for the program. The best they could offer was a two week trial period for approx $200. Very disappointing experience. read more

I've never taken a "class" at a gym, I felt it was a way to blend in wth the crowd and not get a good workout. 9Round is one of the best workouts I've ever had. With no class times (a new "round" starts every 3 minutes), you go when you want. Even better, the setup allows for the onsite trainer to motivate you to give your best and push you when you need it. Before joining, I ran 5 times a week and saw little results. I've been feeling great at 9Round and looking forward to continuing!
