After having the Lexus dealership tell me I need new brakes as well as Firestone, who charged me $46 to diagnose the car and quoted about $750 for the FRONT ALONE (after quoting half that over the phone), I went to Good Honest Mechanic thinking they could do the actual work for a reasonable price. After reviewing my vehicle, it turned out all my brakes are fine and no work was needed. They explained to me how they are at 5 millimeter and at exactly what number/range they start to recommend addressing them. This all lined up with what I read online as far as best practice for car brakes! Rather than try to take advantage of my ignorance and get $700+ like the other businesses, they told me upfront what the deal was and I appreciate that. Debbie at the front desk was nice to chat with also and provided me with updates on my vehicle. Zack and his team saved me from spending unnecessary money when I could really afford to.
