I want to give a shout out to Eddie Perez and RPM Cabinets. We have been wanting to get our kitchen…read moredone for years. But each time we went to get quotes with various contractors, the interaction was abysmal. One time I had a guy I was comfortable with but he didnt do drywall and we needed to raise our drop-down ceilings. So the contractor brought in his drywall guy in to get an estimate and he looked over the job and I asked him how much it was going to cost and his reply was "How much money do you have?". Another time I got the Home Depot Cabinet refacing people over. He gave me the slick sales pitch and when he quoted me the price just to reface the cabinets it was about 2/3 of the cost that I eventually paid Eddie for all the work listed below. I was actually angry with that salesman because I know he was occasionally successful in getting some people to pay that ridiculous price just to paint and install new cabinet door and handles!! Well fast forward a bit and about 6 weeks ago I found Eddie and his guys through personal contacts. When he came over for the estimate my wife and I drilled him on questions. He actually gave straight answers and solid advice. It was clear he had actual experience because his advice on various topics like counter top overhang, counter top material selection, spacing, lighting, were always on point backed up with examples of why and how. Very open and honest. He sent me the quote and I was shocked. Keep in mind we are raising the drop down ceilings, tearing out a wall, adding in a stub wall, moving the sink, installing a dozen recessed lights, installing all new cabinets, fixing tile that will be missing, installing all new appliances including a massive overhead vent hood, fixing my window, removing and fixing the counter extension that goes outside the kitchen window that was all rotted on the outside part, light electrical work, moved AC vents to suit, did all drywall except mudding (but that was included in price), worked directly with the granite fabricators to ensure the details were perfect (and they were), installed crown molding and custom lights and a dozen other very small items that I cant even remember. He handled ALL aspects of this job. Skilled is ALL areas. Our house was a difficult mission as well because it was very oddly shaped and as you will see in the video it had some real head scratching mid-80s design choices..lol. And my wife and I are design illiterate. So we leaned on Eddie heavily. He did an amazing job with the palette he had to work with in our odd house. Also bear in mind this is a mid-level renovation as we are not wealthy people. His work ranges from lower cost options all the way to very high end. I am not affiliated with Eddie and RPM cabinets nor did he pay me for this write up and, and I made a short video so you can see the before and after. I felt compelled to share this because the service I received seems to be so very rare these days. Since the hurricanes of recent years we had to get roof repairs and gutters and various other repairs. Some of those services were abysmal. Most mediocre. So when I have an experience like this on such a large and important job, again, I felt compelled to write this review. Finally, the price was much less than I would have ever expected for all that work. And even when we piled on additional small items I would always tell him to add it to the bill. When the bill came it hardly moved from the original quote. I was actually expecting a higher bill. They were here for about 4 weeks, maybe a bit more. They were such great guys I actually miss having them around. As always, for jobs like this get a minimum of 3 quotes..probably more. But you owe it to yourself to call Eddie

TJ came to install baseboards in the master bedroom/closets, master bath and 2nd full bath. At…read morefirst, the progress was going well. We paid TJ $500 upfront to pay for the materials. He dropped off the materials and waited a few weeks till the other contractors completed tiling the floors in the areas mentioned above. Also including the remolding of both bathrooms. TJ arrived to start installing the baseboards and the bottom edges. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the work in one day. Around 6:15 PM, we've asked him to come back the next day or next week to finish the work. At that point he demanded full payment. I declined on the notion the job was not completed. I already paid 50% of his estimate. I was worried I would not see him again. However, my wife took it upon herself to pay 90% of the remaining balance with TJ's guarantee he will be back the next day or next week. Then he left. We discovered, one of the master bedroom closets was not even started. The bottom edges were never installed in any of the rooms and there are ugly gaps between the flooring tile and the baseboards. Moreover, TJ ripped of the toilet paper roll holder from the bathroom wall resulting in a hole in the wall. He never said a word to us and he made a poor attempt to cover it up. I discovered the damage to our wall after he left. When he left, TJ took all the remaining baseboards and edges with him. We already paid for the material. Of course I was very angry and called him demanding he return with our product and that he needs to fix the damage to the bathroom wall. He hung-up and now will not return our messages. We now have to hire another contractor to finish the baseboards. Stay away from this company and TJ. You will get screwed!!!

We had Olde World do our remodel of our kitchen 2 years ago. They did a great job and the kitchen…read morehas held up well over those 2 years (we have a 2.5 y/o). Olde World did only the cabinets in our photos, but they worked with us to ensure all appliances would fit perfectly. The other work such as counters, flooring, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and ceiling were all handled by other contractors, managed by us and not Olde World (though I believe they could have handled some of it for us). The installer that did the work at the house was very knowledgeable and professional and does a lot of high end work. The cost is certainly more than we could have paid going with some other local companies but I would certainly work with Olde World again on any future projects due to the professionalism, timely work, and quality of install.

Thanks to the craftsmanship of Johnny and Lawson at DUCS we have a beautiful new kitchen. They removed a wall, built a pantry, installed cabinets and flooring, painting and drywall replacement, installed lighting and appliances. Johnny is a skilled craftsman, the custom woodwork he did is beautiful and just what I asked for. They were a pleasure to have in our home during construction and left the space immaculate each day. We did not hesitate to hire DUCS for our garage conversion. Once again we had the pleasure of Johnny as our carpenter, and consistently excellent subcontractors. Our ugly garage became four beautiful new rooms, again finished on time. The owner Joey was very responsive from estimate through completion. The office team at DUCS was always pleasant and quick to help when needed. These projects were finished on time and to our total satisfaction.
