If you enjoy a company that financially and verbally abuse senior citizens, and physically push and threaten disabled veterans (yea I have the police report to prove it). then I highly recommend this company. Telling customers that there car isn't no Lexus and calling a customer a "douche-bag", Man this is a heck of a company. Yes this really happened. Called different companies (wont mention their names) and got a much different estimate and great customer etiquette. PLEASE PLEASE Be careful. I can not begin to explain how rude these people are. They could care less about having your business. I called and asked where they are located. I guess their location is classified, because the guy wouldn't tell me. He just said, "all over". They wouldn't give a price re-key a home lock. And when I asked why, I was told, "look, I have other customers. If you don't like it, I don't care", and he hung up on me. Horrible!!!!!!!!!!! Most unhelpful service ever. Refused to send a reciept, a copy to my insurance copy or even me. Simply bc he just didn't feel like dealing with customers. He should have thought twice about that before telling a customer off with a back bone, My insurance agent even called and asked nicely to receive a copy so they could reimburse me...and he said nah, And he was the owner... If I could give these people a ZERO I would! The guy who does the work is perfectly nice, but the woman who owns the place does not pass along instructions, then demands additional payment to do work that was on the original order. A dead key fob battery caused me to lock my keys in the car. A-1 came out quickly even though it was after 10pm. Unlocked my car and then gave me an extra key-fob battery. He was efficient, polite & quick. read more

Incompetent and unprofessional! My 17 year old daughter bought a Honda Accord key/FOB combo online from a company we have purchased from at least 5 times in the past. She called A-1 Lock and Safe in Navarre to have them cut/program the key. Although the key was cut properly, they were unable to program the FOB (didn't even attempt). This was the first time we did this in Florida; the other times were in Ohio and Colorado where the locksmiths had no issues doing either. The price was quoted as "between $75-$85" and when he was unable to program the key, he told my daughter $75, but then changed his mind to $85 as she was handing him the money. Of course her being 17 and not knowing what to do she gave them $85 (my fault for trusting a "business man" would do the right thing). The whole point in getting the key was to have the ability to use the unlock/lock FOB; she already had a perfectly functioning key. When my daughter called and told me what happened, I called the locksmith (850-939-1358). This guy was ridiculous...I quickly understood why he was unable to program the remote. Every time I tried to state my concerns/issues, he cut me off and kept saying "sir you bought a $13 key from China what do you expect" (everything is from China!). When I would try to ask him how the key worked (basically how it was explained by the competent locksmiths who were able to program the keys in the past) to better understand his "issue" he would again cut me off and say "I've been doing this for 15 (?) years, don't try to tell me how to do it". When I asked him about the price he stated $75 and then I called him out for taking $85...he began to stutter and said its $85. When I asked him what he was going to do he said "F@ck off" and hung up on me. I immediately called him back, but he wouldn't answer so I called the "main office" (850-291-7493)...the same guy answered and hung up. He continues to dodge my calls, never provided a receipt, and of course the FOB still doesn't work. After researching, I realized ALL A-1 Lock and Safes trace back to this guy (I used the Navarre site). I called another locksmith and he stated it should be no issue programming the FOB and as I expected, it has nothing to do with the key. STAY AWAY...they have no idea what they are doing!!!! read more

One star is too generous. I called this business because they advertised that they were 24 hours and it was the wee hours of the morning. The gentleman I spoke with assured me someone would contact me within 10-15 minutes to confirm my address and let me know his ETA. It was 30 minutes before I heard from the tech who confirmed that he would be there within 16-25 minutes. One hour later, my husband called him back since he was still not there (fyi, my car was running the whole time, which they knew). The tech, who sounded as if he just woke up assured us it would be only 5-10 minutes more. He finally arrived 15 minutes later and charged us $30 to drive there (which would have only been worth it if he arrived on time) and $150 to stick a hanger in the window to unlock the car (which he called "disabling the high security system"). When my husband questioned this, he claimed it was to prevent the alarm going off. My husband told him that he didn't care if the alarm went off! He was standing right there! He finally agreed to give us a 15% discount but we still overpaid. The slow service was absolutely ridiculous, not to mention the high charge for doing something we probably could have just done ourselves. Honestly, I would have rather knocked out the window and paid for that repair from my mechanic! At least then, I wouldn't feel ripped off. read more

The measure of a review of a company is what the company does after a problem arises. I called them to open entry door to my motorhome. The tech had little experience and couldn't open it. He then was able to open an egress window to crawl in. He dropped the window and it broke after he had access. The cost of replacement is 387.00. They say that my signing of service ticket also contained a waver, which I can't verify because he left without giving me any paperwork. Their web site states entry without damage. A reputable company would take responsibility for the tech's dropping and breaking a window when it wasn't a result of actual gaining entry task. They refuse, so what should have been a few minute task by a trained locksmith resulted in a costly repair to me. So, my opinion of this company is that they have no integrity and the owners are predatory and dishonorable. Even if they would pay for a portion of the cost that would have somewhat equitable. Just Beware and aware of their character and business methods. read more
