I have never been more frustrated working with a company. I have text messages, emails, and receipts to back up everything in this review. Reef Runner handled our project unprofessionally, communicated poorly, and wasted over a year of our time. I wouldn't trust them to install a light bulb in my house. In April 2025, I contacted Reef Runner to build a steel building in my backyard. I wanted a one-stop shop and was happy to support a local business. As an active-duty military member expecting our first child, we needed the extra space. I received a quote for about $55,000 and paid a 10% deposit in May. From there, everything fell apart. Their salesperson, Jericho, almost ordered a building from a company we had specifically said we did not want to use because of its terrible reputation. That mistake alone cost months. Throughout the process, getting updates or timelines was like pulling teeth, and we constantly had to chase him for basic information. Then, in December 2025, Jericho asked when my last quote was. When I told him May, he replied, "Oh boy," and sent a revised quote for nearly $90,000. He admitted he had been collecting additional costs all along but never shared them, leaving us blindsided. I escalated the issue to the sales manager, Brian, and the owner, Gary. Both acknowledged the project had been mishandled, apologized, and assured me they would personally take over, "make us a priority", and "take care of the military." Unfortunately, nothing changed. Working with Brian was more of the same: poor communication, no timelines, and no progress. Eventually, he blamed the manufacturer for delays and even copied me on emails so I could coordinate directly. Ironically, when I contacted the manufacturer myself, we exchanged multiple emails within an hour, making it clear the communication issues weren't on their end. After roughly 15 months, Reef Runner had held my deposit and I was no closer to having a building than the day I started. I finally requested my deposit back and decided to handle the project myself. I cannot recommend Reef Runner for any project. If you're looking for professionalism, communication, and accountability, I would look elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Reef Runner Remodeling for any renovation project you might have! What we thought was going to be a simple shower update, unfortunately turned into a complete repair & renovation of about 10% of our home due to termites. However, we are so pleased with the complete transformation of our 1962 master bath, that it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. (Still hate termites though lol.) There are so many things that place this company head & shoulders above their competition - first & foremost, Gary Winkler, the owner, is a wonderful, transparent communicator & always responds quickly to any question or concern - a rare and much appreciated quality in a busy business owner. This was my first experience with any home renovation project, & especially with the unexpected termites, it could have been far more stressful, but Gary & all his employees were so responsive that I knew everything was being taken care of the right way every step of the way. They ended up having to rebuild the walls in our stairway, relocate & install a new window & some exterior siding as well as completely rip out & rebuild every inch of our master bath. The resulting quality of their workmanship in every area is simply perfection. Reef Runner Remodeling is a family-owned, faith-based company, and I never gave a second thought to leaving my home open for their employees to come & go. I was amazed frankly by how outstanding each & every one of their employees was - they were all true craftsmen, took great pride in their work, showed up on time & ready to work, had cheerful attitudes and were exceptionally considerate that demo can be disruptive & really went out of their way to keep everything as clean & quiet as possible at all times. (Iykyk right?!) I give Reef Runner Remodeling 1000 stars, & we can't wait to hire them for our kitchen remodel when the time comes. A+++ company!
