I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that accidents can happen, and I generally…read moredon't like to damage a business's reputation. In fact, I almost didn't post this. However, after my experience, I feel it's important to share it so others can make an informed decision. I previously used this company and had a great experience, which is why I hired them again. As a Realtor, I've also referred multiple clients to them over the years. Unfortunately, this move was very different. During the move, my 65-inch TV was damaged beyond repair, my husband's smoker cover was ripped causing scratches to the smoker lid, another smoker had a wheel bent, and the nuts and bolts for our trampoline were lost. After filing a claim, I was offered only a little over $100 for all of the damage. The only other reimbursement I received was the $150 I had paid for them to move the trampoline, which was refunded at the end of unloading and before the insurance claim was submitted. Before I could even submit a claim, I had difficulty getting in touch with the moving company. After multiple phone calls and an urgent email, I finally received a response a day later stating the employee had been out sick for most of the week. While I understand that illnesses happen, I was disappointed there wasn't a backup process for responding to customers reporting damage. My biggest concern was what happened before the move even started. I was handed a tablet and told to sign so they could begin loading. The screen contained only a signature box with nothing to read. I later learned the document I had supposedly signed limited their liability to just $0.60 per pound and indicated I had declined full-value protection. That was never explained or offered to me. Had the document actually been displayed, I would have read it, as I always do before signing anything. The unloading process also felt rushed because the crew had a nearly six-hour drive home and another move early the next morning. My move had been scheduled well in advance, so this should not have come as a surprise. By the end, the owner appeared frustrated and was rude, which I found unprofessional. I'm not writing this review to bash anyone. I genuinely wanted this move to go well, especially after my previous positive experience and the referrals I've sent their way. I simply want others to be aware of my experience, ask questions about valuation coverage before signing anything, and understand what the claims process may look like if something valuable is damaged. I truly don't want anyone to go through what we have with this whole process.

The entire process felt effortless because of their professionalism and positive attitude. The three movers who helped us didn't just show up--they showed out! They worked quickly and efficiently, making what could have been a stressful day feel completely seamless. Everything was handled with care, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. I will absolutely use their services again in the future and will be recommending them to everyone I know. If you want a moving company that delivers on every promise and then some, look no further!

BEWARE!!!!! I don't…read moreusually feel the need to leave negative reviews, but this moving company has taken advantage of me, and I think other customers should know about my experience. I was moved from a bedroom into a 1-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor. The movers also made a stop at my storage unit, which was approximately 10 minutes from both my previous home and my new apartment, to pick up my couch and approximately 5-8 medium-sized boxes. From my bedroom, the movers moved: * Bed frame and mattress * Dresser * Large mirror * 3 barstools * 3 medium-sized boxes * Nightstand * TV I personally moved EVERYTHING from my closet and all of my bathroom items myself. This was not a full-house move, and the amount of furniture and belongings being moved was relatively limited. The agreed rate was $200 per hour. The movers told me that they start the clock from the moment they leave to head to my address, so I agreed to that. The clock started at 8:30 AM, and they finished at 1:21 PM. I was charged $1,105 total, including $105 for materials. What bothered me was the pace of the move. There were multiple instances where the movers were taking their time rather than working efficiently, including being on their phones while I was being charged by the hour. They also made a stop on the way to my apartment while the hourly clock was running heading towards the apartment. I understand that every move is different and that stairs, distance, materials, and other factors can affect the cost. However, I genuinely feel taken advantage of. I was by myself during this move and trusted the movers to work efficiently and honestly. Instead, I left the experience feeling like my situation was taken advantage of. What makes the $1,105 charge difficult for me to understand is that approximately one year ago, I moved this same exact furniture from this same house to this same storage unit, and that move cost me $500. This time, I was charged more than twice that amount to move the same furniture back out of that same storage unit and into my new apartment, along with the additional items mentioned above. I also had to ask THREE separate times for my receipt before finally receiving it, despite the company contacting me asking me to leave a 5-star review. When I responded requesting my receipt, I received no response. I was also planning on tipping the movers, but after paying $1,105 for the move, I had to use the cash I had available to pay for the moving bill itself. I am leaving this review because I genuinely believe customers should know what my experience was like. I hate to feel taken advantage of and walk away from this experience feeling scammed. I don't mind paying for what is fair. Unfortunately, I did not leave this experience feeling that way.

Loading…read moreinvoice claimed 5 movers and 2 trucks; there were 3 movers (of which only 1 guy was actually hustling) in one undersized truck. They had to come back the next day to load remaining furniture and boxes in another truck and I had to hound them (3 calls & 2 emails) to get it done before I had to be out of the house. Contracts/documents are signed ON THE MOVERS PHONE! once they already have control of your belongings. It's impossible to read through several pages of contract on this guys phone while he's holding it. Oh, and one of the worthless guys managed to damage three wall corners that needed repair before move out. After storing for two weeks, a truck and a panel van show up with a crew of mostly day-laborers who dropped and damaged multiple pieces of furniture and boxes. They scratched a brand new floor in two separate rooms literally dragging in a heavy wall bed which they then broke, making it unusable. They damaged a large specially-made desk which will require professional repair and another cabinet which I ended up just throwing away out of frustration. The very best part is that, after all of that damage (the wall bed alone will cost $3000 to replace, the owner Paul Woodruff is down-grading my insurance claim to ZERO DOLLARS based on $1 per pound --that tiny text on the phone, remember? minus $1000 deductible. Do not use Brothers Moving & Storage. You'd be better off just putting all your stuff in the dumpster now and saving the headache. Oh wait, there's more! Michael, or whoever does the walk-through, will give you an estimate with a "not to exceed" amount and be so very proud that they disclose this upper limit but I can promise you, that upper limit is exactly what you will pay. They will manage to get it there one way or another.

During one move, a light fixture came loose while we were moving furniture. It was not broken, but I was not given the opportunity to fix or inspect the situation before being told I would be responsible for it. The bigger concern for me was the work environment. While on a job moving belongings for an elementary school, I was riding in a company truck that contained the school's items when coworkers were smoking marijuana inside the vehicle during the workday. I felt this was extremely unprofessional and concerning, especially while transporting customers' belongings. I brought the issue to my crew leads attention, but the situation continued as he also was doing the same thing so he was dismissive. I ultimately chose to resign that same day because I was not comfortable continuing in that environment. When I received my final paycheck, deductions were taken that I did not feel were properly explained or documented. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I would encourage anyone considering working for this company or using their services to ask questions about workplace policies and expectations.
