Never thought I'd be writing a positive let alone glowing review of this place. Always hated…read morehaving to go here and deal with the employees. Don't know what happened in the past year or so but it's an entirely different experience. I had made appointments online and we showed up a few minutes early. One appointment got "lost". Here we go. Gonna be a long night. They weren't able to schedule both of us that day afterall but they did apologize profusely. They took my daughter right back for an immediate exam and 20 minutes later Jada was helping her pick out frames and making sure they fit correctly as well as offering a second opinion on frames that she wouldn't look good in. (Thanks for the help!). We ordered everything and she said it would be two weeks on the outside to get them in. Meanwhile I had rebooked an appointment for the same time the following week. The day of my appointment, they let me know her glasses we in. It was a repeat of the previous week, immediate exam and help with the frames (this time for me) and she (Jada) then fitted my daughters glasses for her. A week later my glasses were in and she fitted mine. Kudos! She knew what she was doing. Did not try and upsell or downsell to insurance. Was polite and friendly the entire time and never gave the impression we were keeping her from playing on her phone or something. She actually helped. Imagine that!!

I made a same-day appointment online because I experienced a concerning ocular event this morning…read more My appointment was for 12:45pm. Unfortunately there was unexpected construction and excessive traffic in the area, so despite leaving early we arrived at 12:52pm ... 7 minutes past my appointment time. Upon checking in, the receptionist told me that they give customers a "5-minute grace period" only and that he'd have to see if the doctor would still be willing to take me. This made no sense, unless the appointments themselves are only 5 minutes in duration? He checked with the doctor who said I could sit down and wait but there would be no guarantee that she could see me. First of all, a "5-minute grace period" is beyond ridiculous, and this so-called "policy" should really be posted on their website so that customers can make an informed decision about patronizing a place so inflexible and unaccommodating. Had I known, I could have probably avoided schlepping out to Bensalem only to be turned away. We asked the receptionist to check with the doctor to see what her thoughts were on losing the business of a family of six patients who go there regularly, and the receptionist told us "she probably doesn't care about losing your business." Okay then! You don't have to tell ME twice. Lastly, since the whole purpose of the appointment was due to a concern about blurred / lost vision, I sincerely hope for their sake that this doesn't escalate into a situation involving medical negligence. TL;DR: Don't go to Visionworks in Bensalem PA unless you want to be treated like dirt and have potential medical emergencies ignored.

My fiancé went in the office in late October 2016, and was told his contacts were going to take some time. (A month) Cool. We understand it's a process. We didn't imagine it would take up till February 17,2017 to get contacts. Every time we tried getting in contact with the staff to get an update, no answer. He would leave a message, no call back. Unfortunately it's time to look for a new doctor. Sorry Dr.Thomas.

If you called and she actually answered the phone, she would never give Dr. Thomas the message. If you complained, Dr. Thomas would be rude as well. What a difference from before Alyssa was hired. Lindsey was so nice and professional who was the receptionist before Cruella de Vil was hired. Dr. Thomas actually cared and took a lot of time with you. Messages were returned promptly. It was a pleasure to go there. Once Alyssa was hired, you'd walk in and she would be in the back room with Dr. Thomas and they would both ignore anyone out front. When she would finally decide to come out, she was s complete bi**. . She acted like it was her practice. Their relationship was very suspect. This girl obviously had an agenda when she was hired and it wasn't to just be his receptionist. Dr. Thomas even became unprofessional and behaved uncharacteristic. Shame that he is too blind to see what she's doing. She's ruining his practice. I'll never go there again.

It was weeks ago and sorry to say I forget their names, (sorry guys!) BUT hopefully you know it's you! The service was top notch and both were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, honest, funny, and engaged with my 6 yr old who was bored out of his mind! Thank you both!! I was greeted with two friendly smiles, my glasses were adjusted a few times until I felt comfortable, and the frame assortment and pricing is the best I have encountered with this level of service. Highly recommend the Lens Crafters in Oxford Valley Mall, upstairs, by the old Macy's department store. (I parked at the Food Court and it was the perfect spot to enter in through.)

But Erin, who was fun as well as a total sweetheart, helped us with the different types of lens options, etc once he decided on a frame he liked. She also explained which frames could handle the lenses for his particular prescription which was pretty nice. Although he didn't get them that day, she had no issues with writing down estimates for the various lens formulas with the frames and even offered to call to the store nearest him to see if they had them in stock. Erin was awesome. I highly recommend seeing her if you are in the area.

At the third machine the technician said because my "pupils are tiny" she had to repeatedly retake it again and again and again and again and again and again, then needed staff assistance and someone else came in and repeatedly took it again and again and again and again and again and again. After we finally move into the doctor's exam room the technician does some screening, I wait longer and then the technician tells me I have to return tomorrow to finish the exam because the doctor can't do it remotely. I ask why not and she says it can't be done that way I remind her that she initially told me it was going to be remote so what can't be done now and she says "we puffed too much air in your eyes" so they can't complete the exam and I have to come back.
