nice selection but, not the best place to have your prescription filled. lots of mistakes and poor customer service. it took them 3 months to get it half way right! sending my eye glasses back and forth. lots of wasted time. On top of all that, you can not rely on the store hours. I received a call stating my glasses (2pair) were back and ready for pick up and that they close at 7pm. I took a Uber, Got there by 6:30pm that same day to find out they were closed. figured I'd try again the next day, called several times before heading that way (4:00pm) and no answer. Walking in I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I decided to look first. Very large selection of whatever you style is. The particular pair I wanted I could find but they had me covered with not only those but they also had extra similar pairs to choose from as well. Blink made buying easy for me. Would give zero stars if possible... I recently purchased (PayPal) a Porta Romana frame via their official website as advertised through Instagram. Shortly after the purchase the associated PayPal option of payment was removed from the website with no explanation. At first, a representative mentioned to me "same day shipping" but then all communication stopped despite numerous repeat messages and emails. Also, there is a discrepancy between the contact email provided by the website and the one listed through their PayPal. I have yet to receive the frame or refund or any written response. Case is currently opened as a Dispute. Overall, their customer service is sh!t and the business has something shady going on. Would only recommend buying in person if this is at all possible but why even support such as business who doesn't respect its clients unless you are a celebrity of some social status Please, if you have a choice support Eyechic. Bottom Line Upfront: 1.) I am a second-time customer within a one year period. 2.) I drove from Washington DC both occurrences. 3.) They provide me with better care than my Optometrist and their assistants. 4.) They take FSA and HSA. I love these guys! They are professional courteous and understand customer service; actually the chic-fila of customer service. I felt valued as a customer. They are knowledgeable of the brands they provide and are not afraid to give you honest feedback. This past weekend I walked away with four pair of glasses....I really wanted to turn a pair of eyeglasses into transitional shades, with a certain tent while adding my prescription....and they said 5-7 days!!! I couldn't be more excited, I really love this place. As soon as you walk in​ you are greeted, not hassled and they will allow you to try on as many pair as you desire. Let me start by saying that, living on South Street, I'm very familiar with the store and their wide selection of beautiful designer frames. I recently lost my pair of new-ish Jimmy Choo prescription frames and needed to come fully out of pocket for new ones. I chose Blink because I had seen an adorable pair of Ray Bans there previously and, honestly, I never stopped thinking about them. A few days before I went in, I called to see if they were running any specials. The gentleman who answered the phone (whose name may have been Justin?) told me that they were running a special: if you buy a pair of full-priced frames, the single vision lenses would be free. I was sold. I stopped in a couple days later and finally got my frames! I asked the salesperson about the lens promotion and he confirmed that any full price frames came with the lenses. I also asked about anti-glare coating which he told me they "throw that on all the lenses for free." I've been wearing glasses since I was 11 years old and while that sounded crazy, I thought cool and we moved forward. I asked him how long they usually took to be produced and he said 3-4 days. It was a Thursday evening so I expected to have them no later than the following Thursday. At checkout, the total came to $300. My frames were only $225 so I asked him what was comprising the extra cost. He told me that the lenses were free, but I'm paying for the prescription. Do you know what that means? Me either. I asked him what he meant by that and again he repeated, "You're paying for the prescription." Perplexed, I said "What do you mean when you say that?" He said, "You know...the medicine in the lenses." THE MEDICINE IN THE LENSES. I should have canceled the purchase right then and there, walked out and never looked back. BUT I needed the glasses and I figured I'd try to take this up with the manager later. Checked my receipt after leaving the store. He had charged me only $180 for the frames and another $120 for the lenses. We had NOT negotiated the price down and remember, the special was only good if you paid full price for the frames. I was angry but again thought I'd take it up with the manager as it was obvious the salesman didn't know anything about glasses, sales, or practicing business with any kind of integrity. I hadn't heard anything by the next Wednesday, so I called to see if there was any update on the frames. I was told they would probably be in later that day or Friday at the latest. While I was on the phone, I asked if I could speak to a manager. Well, naturally, the guy on the other end of the phone was all too excited to tell me "I am the manager. What's up?" I told him about I had come in to take advantage of the lenses special but was charged for my lenses. He asked me if I paid full price for the lenses and I told him no, that the salesman had charged me less without telling me. He said that he had a lot of new kids working for him that didn't know the special. He also tried to tell me that HE had been the one to tell me about the special and that he told me to "come in and see HIM." So, somehow, this was my fault even though, according to this "manager" his own salespeople aren't aware of the current specials. I asked him what he was going to do for me because all I wanted was the special to be honored. He told me he could give me 30% "or more" of the next pair of frames I buy there. THE NEXT PAIR?? Who would go back to this place? He gave me a half-assed apology and that was that. Pretty angry, I reached out to the phone number listed on their instagram page (as you will note there is ZERO contact information on their website -- only goods with the option to buy). I texted the number and said I was looking for perhaps the owner. Initially he responded, but once I mentioned "help," he ceased to respond. Pretty sure he blocked my number. Nice, right? The next day, Friday, still no call saying my glasses had come in and at this point I was pretty convinced that they wouldn't call me at all. Saturday, I walked in with my boyfriend to find the same salesman who did not remember me. I told him I ordered a pair of glasses last Thursday and wanted to know where they were. He said, "Oh yeah. Right. They came in yesterday. I called you." He did not call me. I had no idea. I was literally waiting for that call. He handed me the glasses and I tried them on. The first thing I did was see if they had an anti-glare coating. Would you believe they didn't?! I asked him why there was no coating. He told me they "don't do glare resistant but do anti-reflection coating." Have you ever heard of this? ME EITHER. Never mind the fact that glare and reflection are the same goddamn thing and my glasses were glaring af. TL;DR This business cares about nothing but your money and they will go to shameless lengths to con you without any management to speak of. Despite their beautiful selection, go anywhere else for your glasses. read more

Hard pass. I came into the store on a Saturday night.... although south street, per usual, was busy as hell- the store was empty- except for one other customer. Before I walked in there were some guys (I'm assuming they were SAs) set up outside with some sunglasses from the store on a table.... they let me walk in, didn't speak... I stood in the store of a couple minutes, the SA helping the customer ignored me, didn't speak.....a guy from outside finally walks in, eventually spoke and complimented the sunglasses I had on, cool, you would think if I had some $600 frames on my face I'm not coming in your store to waste my time.... I asked to see some sunglasses in the case. He opens the case and walks away.... the guy helping the customer before me STILL never opened his mouth. Both acted like they didn't want to help me. Word of advice: MONEY is green. Maybe Blink wouldn't have the largest selection in stock if you actually SOLD some sunglasses. read more

I was having difficulty finding an exceptionally popular pair of Carrara sunglasses. Found them online at Blink Optical. They were in stock and they offered me a nice discount which made me happy. The glasses, however, looked terrible on my face. Upon asking how best to return them, I was told there were no returns, only exchanges. Is this 1950? I'll never shop here again, which is a shame. They seem to have great products and I'm an eyeglass junkie. Their policy is antiquated and doesn't fit the internet world. Perhaps that's why retail stores are going out of business in droves. I found this boutique a year ago and was in absolute disbelief at the inventory. I have never seen so many inaccessible, designer sunglasses in one place. There are thousands. The boutique is gorgeous. At that time, it was the first place that I could get my hands on a pair of Porsche aviators. They were even sold out online! Since that purchase, I've been wanting to revisit. I came back to Philly from Pittsburgh just to find some a new pair of shades. Gill, Justin, and Anna spent a lot of time with me, and I left with a Gucci pair.
