Over the last several weeks of my rental, I repeatedly dealt with temperatures inside the facility reaching approximately 97-99°F, despite paying specifically for climate-controlled storage. Then my unit was broken into. My lock was cut, my belongings were gone through, items were scattered throughout the unit, and several valuable items were stolen. What was especially concerning was discovering that the surveillance cameras in my building appeared to be unplugged/nonfunctional. The facility advertises surveillance/security, yet when I contacted local law enforcement, I was told officers have responded to this facility for similar break-ins before and have had difficulty investigating because usable surveillance footage was not available. While I was there dealing with my own burglary, another couple arrived after being notified that their unit was unsecured, and they had also discovered items missing. Between the failure of the climate control, the apparent lack of functioning surveillance, and the burglary of my unit, I completely lost confidence in this facility. I have now removed all of my belongings and moved to another storage company. Storage is supposed to provide peace of mind. My experience here provided exactly the opposite.

Instead I got put on hold with the promise that I would soon be speaking with a flesh and blood human. I have now been on hold for three HOURS. I'm leaving my phone on hold until someone answers. There has been recent vandalism to the facility. We had direct deposit with them from day one, one day we were unable to gain access to the facility because they change the gate code monthly. I requested that we receive and e-mail/ letter stating what the new gate code was and that was denied but I was told that I could call every 1st of the month to find out the new gate code after our deposit was cleared! October 2012 we discovered that our climate controlled unit was no longer climate controlled and the lights in the building no longer worked. When we brought this to the managements attention they failed to insure the lights were working the building #3. December 2012 the lights were still inoperable and the trash continued to pile up and still no climate control I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that the girl behind the desk on the cell phone was the property manager and that I could address the problems with her. When I asked for the owners name and contact information she informed me that she was more that willing to pass anything that I had to say on to them. I then asked if there was an address that I could have for the owner so I could write a letter with my concerns. She again failed to give me the information. We then received a letter stating that our rent was going up..... We moved out as of January 2013.
