After writing these people a terrible review, several months later they emailed me and ask for me to review them again. I will not waste much time explaining their extra poor service as it was originally posted on yelp, the first and only yelp review I have ever written. But suffice to say they DID NOT even begin to clean my pool as we had agreed that they would do for $150 per hour. They left at least 1/3 of my pool with green algae (my filter had broken and the pool say without filtration for almost a week in the heat). They didn't perform any of the standard procedures short of dumping my chemicals in the pool and then tried to charge me for my chemicals. They refused to return to clean the pool without additional charges. After posting a bad review on them, they are so inept that they didn't even purge me from the email list and therefore sent me another email requesting a review. They started off good when I requested their services about 3 years back. The pool cleaner is good. Though not sure if everything gets done. It's the management that I'm not happy with. This past year and recently they've been raising the charges without giving me notice. Their full service is supposed to be $50 +Tax, which is understandable. But everything detailed in their site for the full service should be included . Just noticed that in my bills at some point they went up to $60 for full service and didn't let me know. During the winter, they allow for bi-weekly. They told me it could start in Nov for $75 for full service. I told them to disregard, I'm going with someone else. They sent me a charge for the month of October charging my card they have on file $75 +tax. They should not have charged the $75+. Oh and apparently the chemicals are charged separately from the service. Also, they don't provide reports, so you really don't know what gets done. Oh and you have to buy your own salt bags for salt water pool. read more

I'm going to continue to post progressive failure of pool plaster work in the hopes it make people keenly aware of the pathetic level of accountability this company exhibits on the renovation side- for service I would provide 4-5 stars, but for the potential Renovation or refurbishment side- total failure to act with any redeemable follow through. Before you sign any contract that abdicated the acting GC of this company from workmanship or flaws in workmanship, strike the contract or demand terms which give you some recourse- this industry is a pool of subcontractors who at best manage to get work done and at worse have no accountability to one another or the company you are hiring. I wouldn't suggest this team to anyone. i can provide pictures now 2 years after the install and the plaster is total crap- micro fissures, calcium pockets coming through the colored plaster, and nobody who's has an idea to fix it other than to have it redone- you can guess who we won't be calling . read more

Best customer service, I called Jeff to see about replacing our pool lights that had recently gone out. With crossed fingers I asked the impossible "could you install tomorrow?" He made a call then called me right back saying Bob will be there in the morning! Bob showed up as promised and was hard at work to get the new lights replaced. He has also stayed in contact making sure everything was working as expected! I highly recommend A-Affordable for any repairs, I know, I will never call anyone else to work on my pool! read more

Took my pool skimmer in to find out why it wasn't operational. Jonathan met me, took my information and said he would call and let me know what the issue was. When I asked what he thought the issue was, instead of telling me he'd call and let me know. he grabbed a screw driver, took it apart and found that it was just a bad bearing. He fixed it right away and I was good to go. Jonathan couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful or professional. The next time I have pool issues, I'm going here first. FALSE ADVERTISING on their website. There is NO FREE ESTIMATES unless you are remodeling your pool. When I called, the company alleged only for the POOL RESURFACING/REMODEL is the FREE ESTIMATE. Wanted to set an appointment 4 weeks at least out & I would have to PAY A SERVICE CALL. Asked to speak to manager & was hung up on. Do not use this company since they absolute LIE ON THEIR WEBSITE, LIE ON THE PHONE....SHUDDER THE THOUGHT of the QUALITY OF WORK. Mitchell at A Affordable pool and spa did an excellent and professional job fixing my dolphin by matronics automated pool cleaner

We used A-Affordable to remodel our pool in May 2022. They proposed a process to fix some cracks in the pool which they highly recommended. It was very expensive, virtually doubling the cost of the project. They would not warrant the work and, sure enough, the cracks have begun to re-appear three months after completion. Not what I expected from an alleged "top quality" company. In addition, they ignored my repeated requests to repair a small plumbing leak discovered during the renovation which I had asked to have fixed at my expense. I subsequently had to hire another pool company to do the work. Not very customer oriented! read more

We had them handle our pool cleaning for 18 months and they would regularly have inexperienced people come out and do a poor job as the pool would still be filthy after their weekly service. The last straw was when we bought a new Polaris pool cleaner to replace our old one on sale. We asked for a fee if they could install the new cleaner and replace the old one. They refused saying we had to buy the same one from them in order to do the install at 20% of a higher cost. That was the last straw as we finally fired them and got someone much more reliable for 20% lower cost. read more

I will say the people answering the phone are very, very nice. I called end of March as we had issues from the Dallas freeze. They said they were a couple of weeks out. Fair enough. After two weeks I called back and they said they needed a few more weeks. I was understanding - these are busy times. Fast forward eight weeks later. I got a call on Thursday and was told Bob would come by on Friday and start working on our pool. We shuffled our day and waited. Around 2 ish Friday afternoon I called back, Jonathan was very nice and explained Bob would in fact be by. 6 pm we gave up. My advice - if you can't take on new customers its ok to say that. If scheduling changes give your customers a call. Don't waste their time. It is highly unprofessional. We called back on Saturday and we were told that Bob just will not answer his phone when he feels like he has completed his day. read more

Called them cause my pool pump was leaking! they said it would be 2 weeks before they could get to me. But ask me for a credit card to book an appointment!!! all most 4 weeks later called them back!!! ask where they stood on getting someone out?? A couple days later a guy comes out, walks back to the pump area and turns around says i need a new pump!!!! and said $1500.00 plus then leaves!!!! they charged my CC $95.00? This is one of the most u ethical and unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with in my entire life! My pump stopped working ( it wasn't circulating water) so I called Jeff( the owner) abs he said they will charge $95 to accurately find the problem. First they sent this IDIOT NAME BOB who showed up on a wrong day abs time. On the phone ( I was at work) I told him what the problem was abs to diagnose it accurately. On his own without my consent, he went abs changed bunch of PVC connectors, cleaned the filter which they tried to say it was filter issue, then when they try to bill me fir over $300 I did not authorize anything other than ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS. Second they said the problem was because of the leak so they were going to charge me even more to detect the leak. I called two other companies for second opinion and both said it was nothing other than cascade needed to be replaced. It cost me $100 to fix it. I called that fraud, Jeff, and told him NOT TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD, but he went a head abs did it anyways. I ended up filing dispute abs fraud with my bank!!!! I so wanted to be able to give this company a good review. To be fair and honest in my review, the previous homeowner had nothing but good things to say about this company. Sadly, this has not been my experience. First, let's talk about the weekly pool cleaning service. Almost every week, I find trash in the pool equipment area. It it usually empty chemical bottles. Sometimes, it's empty soda cans. Not what I expect from my pool cleaning company. And repair after repair after repair and I still don't have a consistently working pool. They have already "fixed" the heating unit twice. Once it was a capacitor problem. The second time it was a problem with the motor. I'll be super curious about what reason they are going to give me for the heater not working for the THIRD time. Last, but certainly not least. Let's talk about their customer service or should I say complete lack thereof. I cannot tell you how many times I've called to report a problem and if I'm lucky I get a callback in two days. I'm not always lucky. Long story short, any one have some recommendations for a replacement pool company???? 11/9/17 UPDATE: OK, I have to be fair. Turns out the latest problem was due to some type of rodent chewing on some of the wires. As a result, the heating unit shorted out and had to be replaced. Since the problem was outside of their control, I am upgrading their rating to 3 stars. It just got more amazing... A Affordable actually made an unauthorized charge on my credit card for the invoice related to this service incident (see my original review below). They had my credit card information from when I was receiving their routine weekly preventive maintenance service for my pool. They were only authorized to charge my card for the cleaning service. I had even reminded them in my last conversation with them that they the authorization they used to have did not include anything other than the routine service and instructed them to remove all records containing my credit card information. Not only did they ignore my instructions and reminder, they have now added unauthorized credit card charging to their growing list of disgusting business practices. I am seeking resolution to the original invoice and their unauthorized use of my credit card through avenues available to all of us. But, I at least wanted to warn the public about this company, their abhorrent business practices and the non-existent integrity and ethics of the couple of individuals running the company. Please save yourselves from these clowns and seek out a reputable and honest small business instead. --------------------- Original review below: After a routine weekly pool maintenance service call, A Affordable called and informed me that my pool pump needed repair. Before agreeing to have them perform the work, I asked what the worst-case scenario would be. I was assured that the most it would cost, and only if I needed a new pump replacement, would be $700. Based solely on their worst-case assurance, I agreed to hire them for the repair. After the repairman arrived, he called to inform me that my pump was "seized" and I needed a complete new pump. He said this will cost me $1,250. When I reminded him of the worst-case scenario quote I received before authorizing the work, he could not come up with numbers that added up to his $1,250 estimate and could not explain the jump in price. The repairman insisted I had no viable alternatives and that the entire pump must be replaced. He said he could rebuild the motor, but it would cost nearly the same and would probably just fail again in short order. Suspicious of the repairman's intentions and unhappy about the on-site price hike, I declined any repair work until I could educate myself on this type of problem and my options. With a small amount of research, I discovered that, short of buying an entirely new pump (complete with the housing, basket, strainer, motor, impeller and diffuser unit as the repairman insisted was required,) I could instead just replace the damaged impeller and the pump motor itself. I purchased the pump motor and impeller kit for $330 including shipping. When it arrived two days later, I removed the pump motor, installed the impeller kit on the new pump, and installed the pump. The repair was extremely simple and took exactly 50 minutes to complete. Curious about the alleged motor failure, I inspected the original motor and observed that a small piece of plastic debris from the failed impeller wedged between the impeller and the pump housing. I removed this debris, supplied power to the motor and discovered that the motor worked perfectly fine. The vendor billed me approximately $100 for the service call. I wrote a letter to the vendor explaining my disappointment and frustration over the improper service and for not honoring the worst-case estimate provided. The owner, Jeff, called me. His tone was rude and accusatory. He insisted I still owe for the service call and accused me of lying about the original pump's operable status. He said that unless I allow him to send someone else to my home to prove that the pump does not operate when power is applied, he will not remove the charge on my account. Based on Jeff's behavior and accusations, I have severed my relationship with his company completey and I absolutely will not grant his employees access to my home in the future. Here are my specific complaints about the service received: 1) The pre-sale worst-case scenario quoted was $550 less than what was demanded on site. 2) The repairman only advised me of two options: 1) replace the entire pump, or 2) rebuild the motor. He did not advise me that I could replace just the motor for $400-$500 less than buying the entire pump. 3) The repairman incorrectly diagnosed that the motor was bad and instead wanted to charge me $1,250 for what should have been a $200 service call including parts and labor for an impeller replacement. 4) Presented with all of the exact same information as contained in this complaint, the owner defended his company's improper sales tactics and accused me of lying about the fact that the old pump still runs. I strongly advise avoiding this company's services. If I could give a rating of less than zero, I would. The person I have been working with at this company named John has been the best example of unprofessionalism that I could dream up. I had received a quote to have re-surfacing and new tile installed in my pool. We had both confirmed that the project was to start on April 13th and we had re-confirmed that date a couple of weeks prior. Come April 13th and no call from this company. I called John late in the afternoon to discuss the plan and wonder why he had not communicated with me and he said that since it was raining, they could not come drain the pool. I understand that but a call explaining the situation would have been the proper course of action. Two days later, I receive an email from John stating simply that the person will be out on that day to drain the pool. I emailed back asking for an approximate time and received no response. Late that afternoon, the person arrived and started the process of draining the pool. He had plugged the machine into an outlet that was not working and the unit was not draining. I simply plugged the unit into a working outlet and the pool was drained by the next morning. The next day, on Thursday, the pool person came out to get his equipment and as he was leaving he mentioned that he would call John and let him know that the pool was drained. I also called John to let him know that the pool was drained and to get an idea for next steps. He said that now that the pool was drained and the plug was pulled, he would have the guys come our to demo the old tile either that afternoon or the next day. He said that part could be done rain or shine now that the "plug" was out of the pool. He also said to just "tape a check" to the back door for one third of the cost of the project and he would come by on Saturday and pick it up. I would not have had an issue doing that but no one showed up either Thursday afternoon or Friday and of course, no one called. No communication. I was very concerned about the lack of communication as well as the lack of professionalism. I emailed John and advised him that I would be willing to pay for the time of the first pool guy who came out and "drained the pool" even though I am not sure he had pulled then plug since the pool was still holding water from the night rains that had occurred. I also informed him that I was canceling the rest of the project as I had lost all confidence in their ability to complete this job to my satisfaction given their history to this point. Sunday I received a voicemail from John that was loud and insulting, calling me names and advising that he would be canceling the service and sending me a bill for the first guys time. Buyer beware with this company. I would not hire them to skim my pool much less make major changes. read more

I tend to use this place for water testing and chemical purchases only. We used to use them for cleaning service, but they are very disorganized. We paid for the weekly service but noticed that the person they sent would frequently have a 'personal issue' come up that made him unable to show up on the normal day. Often times he wouldn't let us know of this and would just skip a week. When the person did come, we noticed that he never took actual chemical readings, rather just cleaned the pool up, added chemicals arbitrarily (without checking whether it actually NEEDED them), and left. At one point the technician left his truck in front of our home for several hours and was nowhere in site...this made my wife very nervous as to where this person was (turns out he went to another job with a colleague for several hoursand just left his truck out front). The tech would often bring his child with him as well (without asking whether we were ok with this), which wasn't a big deal, but made me very concerned from a liability perspective as to what would happen if that kid drowned or got hurt on my property (since the kid wasn't covered by a business policy). I also didn't like that our technician would smoke while working - not a huge deal, but really takes away from the professionalism of the company. Eventually we decided to dump the 'service' since all we were paying for was for someone to arbitrarily dump chemicals in our pool without checking it first. Now we do our own pool cleaning & chemical service which takes 20 minutes / week and we get much better results. We decided to give the company another chance by scheduling a pool heater service call (in person) a week in advance. The tech never showed up. I called the company on this, and they said they no longer had availability for me, despite the fact I booked this a week in advance. That was the last time we used them for service. I will say, however, that their "pool school" was very helpful. As a first time pool owner, we appreciated the time the technician spent with us to learn how to use and operate our pool. I also really like their free water testing, and the cashier / water tester (can't remember his name) is incredibly helpful, polite, and professional. Bottom line - use them for chemical/supply purchases and water testing only. They need to get their act together on coordinating technicians and service schedules. Once they get the 'business' side of the house together, I think they will be one of the best. Until then, we'll do it ourselves. read more

This is the worst pool company I've ever dealt with. One of their employees left the gate open while cleaning my pool and my dog got out. Instead of calmly trying to coax her back into the yard, he stupidly chased her straight to one of the busiest streets in Dallas where she was hit by a car and killed. Although this happened many years ago, I'll never get over the way that my sweet 12 year-old dog died. From what I heard, the employee wasn't fired and never even apologized to me. He claimed that he had done nothing wrong. The company did pay to have my dog cremated but that was of little solace. I sincerely hope this employee no longer works at this place because he has no business dealing with the public. read more

First of all, we did a lot of research before we finally decided John and his crew were the right people for our pool resurfacing and new tile border project. (My husband is an engineer and I am an attorney, so, we research "projects" to the max!) One of the owners, John, took all the time in the world to explain the process, the differences between the various pool resurfacing options available, etc. We went with Diamond Bright pool plaster and it is simply gorgeous! The ultimate reason we chose A-Affordable was that they do the extremely critical "after-brushing", cleaning, vacuuming, etc., that is needed for the Diamond Bright surface to look its very best! Do NOT be fooled by other pool re-plaster companies who quote a lower price, but do not offer the "follow-up" process, or a very limited after process! Otherwise, from what I understand, the surface will not "cure" correctly and will not look great. The A-Affordable team did all of the needed after-brushing, vacuuming, and 4 weekly maintenance visits, to make sure the accurate "curing process" was completed. In addition, A-Affordable was my pool cleaning and maintenance crew for 10 years, before I met my new husband, who now is my "pool boy"! Of course, we use A-Affordable for major work and/or anything else that my husband feels we need their expertise for. read more

i have been going to A affordable for the last 3 years. i used to use another local store who sold me a pump motor for $350 +, but did not have a $5 seal needed for the installation. They informed me i could come back in 3 days to get the seal and finish the job. I immediately stopped in the next pool store on the way home, A Affordable. Jeff was not only willing to take the time to look up the o ring , find it, and pull it from the stock room but gave me some very helpful advice on re-installation so as to not cause further problems. At this point i realized the other store was more about making a profit on a pump motor than actually helping the customer with his needs. i decided to buy a motor from A Affordable and return the previously purchased one. i am aware that pool supplies and parts can generally be found cheaper on line than most local pool supply stores . However , i find expertise and advise that comes from a professional man like Jeff and his crew more than make up for the dollar or two saved by online shopping. Nick and Ben, the 2 main in-store guys, have always been knowledgable and helpful with solving my water chemistry and balance issues. Overall I have been very satisfied and will continue to use this store although 2 other store are closer to my house. read more

I recently had one of my pools resurfaced and tiled. After the resurfacing we had 4 weeks of cleaning and chemical treatment, after one of those treatments a few days later I noticed that the pool was green. I called John Gill to inform him and he told me that service was provided and that it was not green because he had a picture. He sent me the picture, but the picture was someone else's pool, I sent him my picture and was told Oh the tech must have forgot to put the tabs in last time, then about 4 weeks later the tiles are starting to come loose from around the spa bridge. I contacted John Gill to have it repaired because the contract stated there is a warranty and his email also stated that. From his email From: John Gill Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2018 9:10 AM Since 80% of your tile is set under the cantilever deck, the tile under the stone and the tile on the spa bridge is the tile that is covered under warranty. Thank You, John A-Affordable Pool & Spa Service, Inc. 214-535-1592 John told me the tech would come by from 7 to 7pm. Since I could not leave the gate open all day, I asked john to have the tech call me about 1 hour before they came so that I could have someone open the gate. He never called so I had a friend go by and opened the gate for about 2 hours in hopes the tech would arrive, he never arrived. I went a few days later to check it repairs were done and still no repairs were done. I wished I read the review before I hired this company, because they are not very professional and very bad customer services. read more

We contracted A Affordable to resurface our pool. The communication I received about when, times was basically non- existent. I was told to leave my gate open/unlocked for three weeks while the workers could come and go. Day one of draining the pool, they used my pump to drain through my system without taking the drainage cap off to do the job as described to me during the contract signing. The crew that did come out was not prepared, they asked me to rags, towels and other supplies. The crew ran a my garden hose from the front of the house around back to fill, in the meantime removed a fairly expensive pray nozzle, which I have yet to know where they put it or should I say take it. We asked to have some stones re-attached that had come loose around the hot tub. It was not until one week after refilling the pool that they showed up, uninformed of the day or time, no advance notification, just some the guy in my backyard, anyway, he did not know what to fix, and in the meantime broke several tiles, trying to fix them with grout. He left the broken pieces in the pool, along with all kinds of other stones and grout. I have asked what they plan to do about the broken tiles, and have yet to receive any communication back. Prior to having the pool resurfaced I had someone come out to fix a leaking pump, he fixed one leak, changed me for a gasket kit, service, and yet there is another leak. I have asked to have them come back and fix this since I thought they warranted the work they do. For years we have only used A Affordable to do our pool work and were very happy, until this year. I am still waiting to hear from them, however I am waiting to pay my final payment to them until I get a sign off from John that the pool is complete as advertised. Currently, the resurface color is great, however it looks like the plaster has cracked. Not sure what to do about this. I truly hope A Affordable get backs to the company we once dealt with, they used to be fantastic. read more

Owner is a full on shyster. Buyer beware. Note that there are zero false statements or misrepresentations in this review. Hired A-Affordable to work on a spa a few years back. Owner doubled the hourly rate on the last bill, took two weeks of sporadic work hours to get to where they said they couldn't do any more. Half of the jets were not getting air, despite them reworking all of the air lines. Ended up having to go to court to resolve. Plenty of other reputable places out there that deserve your business. This is not one of them. UPDATE: Owner or their rep just called me at my work to inform me that they were going to sue me for this post. Understand that this company seems to rely on a litigious approach which certainly infers quite a bit about how they relate to their customers/victims and what you can expect if you contract their services and end up in a dispute. UPDATE #2: In response to the owner's statement about the small claims case, I ask you, the potential customer, "What would you do if the work was shoddy, not complete, and if the final bill showed an hourly rate TWICE what was billed previously?" You wouldn't pay and in return would welcome having a court review the matter. In this case, the judge did side with A-Affordable in that there was a sum owed. However, the judge did reduce the requested amount by 50%, acknowledging that the A-Affordable had incorrectly inflated the final invoice. Note also that only the final payment to A-Affordable was withheld. Again, you engage this company's services, in my opinion, you are taking a HUGE RISK. To answer the question about why after 9 years i bring this up: Yelp was not available nine years ago. I saw this company the other day and after seeing that it was under the same ownership, I felt it was my duty to forewarn any potential customers of the pitfalls I experienced in my dealings with, in my opinion, this unscrupulous and incompetent service provider that seems to prefer using strong-arm tactics, such as litigation, to resolve customer disputes, instead of working with the customer and admitting that sometimes the provider does make mistakes. read more

Be cautious with your credit card information here! They misused my credit card number, which was apparently on file and charged it without my authorization. They used the card for another service several months ago and used it when I had already paid by check, which resulted in a double change. Good news- I look over my finances with a fine tooth comb. Rather than apologize, take ownership for the error or understand my concern for my credit card details being compromised, Tom in finance got nasty and down right rude. Although Tom was able to confirm they were paid twice for one service and crediting my credit card for the unauthorized charge- it was grossly mishandled and no apology provided Beware of providing your credit card details here. read more

After several years of acceptable service, we our canceling our pool contract with these folks. They made an unauthorized charge on our credit card for a "diagnostic fee" when no work was done, and we were not even home. When questioned about it, the owner became defensive and abusive. I come here most Saturdays or sundays to get my water tested, and so far i am impressed with A Affordable. They are always helpful, and i have a lot of questions since i am new to pools. I also had one of the service guys come out to teach me about pool operations and he was very helpful. I don't have them service the pool so i can't speak to that aspect, but i enjoy going into the store and the help the provide me. read more

A-Affordable has worked on my ancient pool for all 12 years I've been here (the pool is 35 years old). As expected with an aging piece of property, it has required its share of work over the years - cleaning, heaters, pumps, filters, etc.. Although AAffordable may be a bit more expensive than some of the other companies in the area, I have always felt that their work was excellent, their communication solid, and their prices fair. I travel often, so having Daryl come out every week and keep everything sparkling is a huge bonus for my family. He is always friendly and efficient, and takes the time to explain what's going on if he sees anything out of the norm. We appreciate that... read more

This company had been servicing our pool since the end of May this year. We hired them to do a leak detection test and they quoted us a price to fix the main drain (about $1200) and foam sealing of two skimmers ($675 each). As anyone would do, I called around and checked other companies for quotes. Every single well known reputable company I called was significantly cheaper. The one I ended up going with which is BBB approved, etc was less than half on the skimmer repair and $300 cheaper on the main drain repair, saving us a total of nearly $1000.00. I emailed A affordable to let them know I would be going with another company to make repairs but that I was still happy with the weekly service. They called me back to tell me that they no longer wish to do business with me at all. read more

I should have read all the other negative reviews before doing business with these people because the same experience happened to us. We have had weekly pool cleaning services for years and the company has our credit card information on file. Someone came out to diagnose a problem, and we were billed a $90 service call that we did not authorize and which was never disclosed. When I went into the store to attempt to get help and an explanation, the owner was extremely rude and condescending. He has absolutely no clue how to handle customers. The owner does not value his customers, and is just a jerk. Do not do business with this company! read more

I have a 30 year old pool and some pieced together equipment that has been installed throughout those years. I understand that and have become accustomed to having to drop, what is a lot of $$ to me, on the pool every few years. First of all in my experience with the old pond over the last eight years is I have found that most pool service guys are like carnie's (you know the ones that advertise on Craigslist). They try to do as little work as possible while charging the most they possibly can every time they come to your home. I don't feel that way with these guys. First off I have a pretty good working knowledge of the pool equipment and if it's something that I can disconnect myself and bring to them they offer free bench labor at the store which has saved me some money a few times. They are professional and helpful in the store and a few days ago when my multi-port valve gave out they seemed to understand I was a little low on funds at the time (just had to put in a new A/C condenser with Air handler to boot) and offered me a ten percent discount as a returning customer. They gave me what I consider a fair deal on parts and labor and the pool runs like a champ now........for a few years more at least. Perhaps a little pricey compared to the carnie's I mentioned but you get what you pay for. read more

I have been using this business for the last year, for advice on maintaining my pool and deck area. They have been very helpful and done good work for very competitive prices. In one case, when they were cleaning the filter for us, the communication and follow-up could have been better, but nothing problematic. They have provided very good advice on how to fix things myself, and general maintenance. I asked them for a quote to do some repair work on a possible crack in the pool, and they offered the best price, and explained it was not necessary to make it as big a project as other company's had suggested. I have deferred that project for now, but plan to use them. read more

After months of frustration and complaining, my spa finally stopped draining my time, water,money and peace. I must give it to them that finally they came through, realized their fault, agreed to charge labor only for further visits and eventually found root of the problem. It was just a simple seal that was worn out and being professionals they should've made correct diagnosis earlier instead of changing random parts for no good reason. Their owner Jeff took responsibility upon himself and dealt with the problem in a courteous and professional manner. All is well that ends well. I agree with the reviewers below about being careful about giving this company your credit card. My credit card was charged without my approval also. I was actually on a plane the day it was charged and not even close to a phone the day that I supposedly authorized the transaction. I called and spoke with Tom who was extremely rude on the phone. It amazes me that in this day and age with online reviews etc that some businesses still don't realize how important customer service is to their business. In addition, the person who cleaned my pool scrubbed too hard on my plaster and left streak marks, which is really unfortunate. read more

My husband has used them in the past, years ago. So when our pump went out we called them. My husband made an appt. with them to come out Tuesday, as I was off work that day for another repair issue. In the afternoon I called and was told the repairman had called me that morning and was waiting on a call back. No one had called me. My husband had given them his number and my number. I gave them my number again and the repairman called me and said he would come out the next day. Day 2 I have to worry about being available for someone to come out. At this point I'm worried that if he claimed he called me and didn't then would he be honest about what is wrong with my pump? But I put my misgivings aside and gave them a second chance. After the repairs I was given the amount of the bill and gave them my credit card info. Later, I added up the invoice and found a 40.00 mistake. Common error transposing numbers...I do it myself. But when I called I'm told he makes a lot of errors like that. Okay, how can I trust the repairs again if I'm told this employee makes a lot of errors. But I'm told when the invoice is turned in it will be fixed and I'll get a call back. That was on Thursday. Finally...Tuesday, tired of waiting for a call back like I was promised I call them instead. I'm told by Tom, I showed the error to my mgr Sunday. OK...Tom has a mgr and he saw the error but didn't call me back as promised. He charged my cards and mailed me a receipt. Forgot to mention, on the invoice I saw phone numbers that were NOT the phone number my husband had given them when he set the appt. up on Monday. My husband recognized the numbers as his ex wife's numbers and we wondered why they would put old numbers down from old repairs instead of the numbers they were given to contact. Now...I get the receipt. Instead of being in my husband's name or my name, even though they have talked to us 6 times and were given my name 5 out of the 6 times, the receipt is in the ex wife's name, which means anything we told them was ignored and only old information was used. The repairs were great. Mark, the tech was great. He was very nice and very polite, and even dealt with my dogs in a nice manner. And yet his competency was discredited with almost every call I made to the company, which makes me distrust the company, instead of just taking ownership of errors and calling me when I'm promised a call. And when I call and ask to speak to a mgr, Tom answers and says he's as close to a mgr as I'm going to get....even though he'd told me he had shown the error to his mgr. Very unprofessional. So instead of talking to a mgr, I'm venting the issues to the internet. read more
