I picked this company because it is in my neighborhood. I've used them repeatedly because they are the best! They have employees that are invested in the business. They come out not just for a quote, but with expert advice. We love Kaity in my neighborhood! They show that they care about the trees and the ecology. The values exceed the job expectations. The also do shrubs, not just trees. Thanks to a very expensive Nursery, I have several of the same shrubs in my landscape. That means when one gets a disease, all will eventually. That is somewhere close to $4K in costs if they need to be removed. AA really stepped in to treat and save my shrubs with a yearly maintenance plan. read more

Shawna was very responsive when I contacted the company for a quote on pruning a pine tree and another separate quote on removing a large maple tree for the work to be done a few months later. She came out and played a good role. Bravo! I received the estimate a few days later with both estimates on it. I tried reaching her to change it, but she never responded, nor did the company. I went with another company the next week that was slightly more expensive, but the customer service was superb without the slick salesman game that Shawna played. I do not recommend doing business with this company. There are so many others to choose from. read more

I have worked with A & A in the past and they were amazing. Efficient and experienced. Need more work done and got another quote from them. They quoted me around 1k for tree trimming and fertilizing, compared to the 5k quote I got from maryland tree experts, which didn't even include fertilizing. Can't recommend them enough!! read more

I hope to be able to give this company a higher rating in the future. They were recommended to me by a friend as being honest because I need someone to look at the trees near my home and check their health. The first day I called, I had to leave a voicemail message. Four days later, I had to leave another voicemail message because no one had called me back. That day, I did get a call back and an apology. I was told someone would call me back later that day to set up an appointment to come and look at the trees. No one called that afternoon or the next day. They may know trees, but they don't know anything about customer service. read more

Kaity and her Team (Justin, Shawna, Deric, Tom(?) the crane guy, and all the other workers who I didn't get to meet) have been great! We've used them 3 times for tree removal (over 15 trees now, some as big as 24" diameter and 70' tall). Every time Kaity comes out for an assessment we chat wood and yards, and she's given us some great referrals for other tree and yard needs. The company clearly has a passion for trees. On the first job, we had a couple of tulip poplars that were leaning heavily toward our house and an out building, and where in a location the crane couldn't reach. Kaity brought in their authentic lumberjacks to take them down. I got chatting with those guys and they're 3rd or 4th generation lumber jacks. They showed me a tip for sharpening my chain in the field, and even gave me a file. Real pros! The company is always safe and professional. I've only compared their prices once and they were maybe $1000-1500 more on a $6000-7000 job. But we still went with them because of our first experience. We didn't bargain though. And I'd rather pay more for a trusted company when we're talking about big trees near my house. One comment below mentions a hidden 5% credit card fee. They've fixed and reduced that. It's now 3.5% and listed in the proposal. They also offer a nice "off-season" discount, and are really flexible on leaving the wood or chips if you want them, getting it to a neighbor, etc. I might check prices again next year, but it'll be hard to move away from this excellent team. read more

Very poor customer service! Found their information online and reached out for help on a project. Received an email that I would be called to set up an appointment. After 1 month, 3 unanswered emails and a phone call with a promise to be called back but never was. I finally decided to reach out to another company who helped me same day! I would not recommend this company for anything that you are trying to get done quickly for they were completely unresponsive. So disappointing. read more

I had another tree that partially came down in a storm (lower trunk cracked and it was leaning over dangerously). They came out and took it down with a crane, no marks whatsoever on the lawn, and hauled it away with not even a twig or leaf residue. I had also asked them to grind down the stump below grade, which they couldn't do right away. They didn't bill me for anything until they finally could do it a few weeks later. So they do have good business practices, I think, just are pretty busy probably because they're in demand. read more

i had a tricky partial dead tree removal in a difficult to access side yard. A&A came and did a great job for a very reasonable price.

Do not use this company. I signed a contract for $1,800.00. The payment terms were clearly stated in the contract. No where in the contract did they say that there was an additional 5% fee to use a credit card for payment. When I received the invoice, they tried to unilaterally change the terms of the agreement by adding a 5% fee to pay by credit card. When confronted with the fact that we had a singed contract with no 5% fee for credit payments, they were horribly unprofessional, insulting and rude. This company is a fraud. DO NOT USE. read more

We have used this company over the years for pruning and feeding trees here at home. Recently they removed a very tall large tree that was very close to the house. The crew did an excellent job. Everyone was efficient and knew exactly what they needed to do. The job took a couple of days and when they were finished everything was completely cleaned up and the hole where the stump was ground out had been filled in. Cannot say enough good things about the work of this excellent company. Highly recommend. read more

I called A&A yesterday at 4:30pm to help with a 60 foot evergreen that was uprooting in the wind. They arrived within an hour and had the tree safely down 45 minutes later. SUPER responsive, friendly, and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I already have several more projects planned for them. Highly recommend! read more

I called to purchase fire wood from them a few weeks ago. Every week they assure me someone will be out to deliver it, and every week no one shows up or calls. When I call back, they apologize and assure me someone will be out the following week. Either they are lying, or they are incompetent. No way to run a business. read more

As I walked my Dog today. I watched the guys at A&A remove a tree from a home on Concord Road. The 3 men were efficient and meticulous as they cut down what must have been a 40-50 foot tree next to the house. Without missing a beat they took the tree down section by section. The crew member using the crane looked very skilled at maneuvering the cut off parts leading to the wood chipper. The gentlemen in the tree cutting away was very skilled at cutting away at each section so that it would fall right. The third crewman made sure as the tree was getting chipped that the area was getting cleared and nothing in the way of the road. Though it was not my home, if I do have an issue A&A will be my first call. read more
