I hired David from Gardens & Trees Landscaping to tackle a very specific and tedious garden project: resetting a large tulip bed after the spring bloom. The job required removing a decorative perimeter fence and a buried layer of protective chicken wire, then carefully excavating hundreds of tulip bulbs so I could salvage them for the fall. Two guys, very nice and worked at a steady pace. Did a very good job on my backyard regrading seeding, adding topsoil, and grading work. But were supposed to also de-thatch and aerate my front, which they had no machines for. The grass is starting to grow well, hopefully will fully take. But now I have to hire another contractor to de-thatch and aerate the front, so they wasted a bit of my money. So for wasting some of my money, they get a solid B-. I contacted Jose for a quote on Thursday and we set a time to meet Friday at 12:30. He canceled Friday morning but gave a quote based on photos. Not feeling comfortable with that I sent a video and then he said he was able to come and meet me that day to give an in person quote. He gave me a quote and we agreed to meet Saturday to do the project. After starting the project Jose called me to say he needed to talk to me. He needed more money. I said you were here yesterday and saw what needed to be done. I was in a bad spot since I had cut most of the branches myself and needed to have them cleaned up before we went on vacation I agreed to pay more.
