They were out of about every shoe in my size. The store was very clean and organized which was nice. The golf section was really cool to play around in. There were a couple of clearance sections and a big selection of clothing! Head on over this is a great location.

One of them is an 8 year old boy that his uncle tells me suffers from Meyers-Briggs syndrome. He's a huge sports fan so I decided to pick him up some sporting goods. At mile post 100, ready for a break from the road I fired up the old google map in search of a sporting goods store, and Suri dutifully revealed to me this Dick's Sporting Goods in Sandusky, OH. It's a great store. Huge, well lit, very few dark corners. They have everything from athletic wear to Zamboni parts. The staff was almost creepily helpful. After checking out their skate gear, lacrosse sticks, bodybuilding equipment and sundry other offerings, I settled on a full set of football gear. The boy's uncle had told me that he really wanted to play pee-wee football but was not allowed because one of the major side effects of Meyers-Briggs syndrome is excessive crying. But there's no reason he can't dress up like his heroes of the gridiron! I picked him up a Riddell helmet, Cleveland Browns jersey, pads, pants, and a tiny little jock strap all for less than $200! On the way out I grabbed myself a new set of Adidas shower shoes, some Quench gum, and I was on my way. I'll be sure to check out Dick's in my hometown, but it's unlikely I'll have cause to revisit Dick's in Sandusky.

Now this is a cool store, located in a cool place with cool things. This local shop is three parts:…read moreclothing/gear store, paddle rentals (you are right on the Lake afterall) and indoor rock wall. This store shares a building with the Maca Root Juice Bar, so it's an open floor concept. If you grab a smoothie next door you can browse here while you wait. The shop has some athletic wear and sporty name brands like North Face and Patagonia. They also had some hiking gear, street wear and CBD products on the tables. The store is immaculate and very inviting if you're into sports or adventures. The associate told me that in the summer you can even rent kayaks (I think) to take out nearby on the Lake. From the retail section, you can clearly see the folks climbing up the rock wall, in case you have an anxious kid that wants to get some energy out. I didn't stay here long but felt the wonderful vibes from this spot and will absolutely come back. It makes me want to go climb something (I don't climb).
