The couples massage took place in a calming, dimly lit room. My partner has never received a massage before and her masseuse was great at taking every effort to make her feel more comfortable with the process. Fortunately I remembered Body & Sole Massage I had walked by at the Tyrone Mall in St. Pete just days before so I headed my Qasimodu back over there. The premises are quiet and clean with a menu of services out front for easy referral. They offer chair as well as table massages in increments of either 15 or 30 minutes with the prices clearly shown. I chose the 30 minute table massage easily which cost $42, a great price for the service. It included a free application of hot rocks. You don't pay until after you've gotten your massage. The masseur led me to a back table enclosed by curtains for privacy. The bed was sturdy yet comfortable with a slot for my nose. The sheets were fresh and clean. Over the half hour he used various loosening techniques to begin to find and break up the knots and tightness in my back, shoulders, neck and sacroiliac region beginning with circular massage throughout the areas and gradually increasing the pressure on the most resistant areas until I could sense a deep penetration, breaking up the cramps and overextended muscles. His technique was thorough and firm yet not painful. As I paid he offered me a free bottle of water in order to flush out the toxins released and also to rehydrate me. I walked out of there more relaxed than I had been for two days, able to easily stretch out any small knots and more importantly able to comfortably sleep.
