When I arrived, not only was my mirror not ready, but he hadn't written down the dimensions, so couldn't cut my piece. I offered to bring the door to them vs a contractor but still, I saved around $250 by driving 10 minutes + 2 minutes install. In addition, my glass is "Tempered" and has to be ordered from a factory which takes 4 to 5 days including installing the glass in the frame. They managed to get it ready the second day for the sole reason it was an emergency for me. If you are a practical person and want fair pricing I can't recommend A&D more. read more

I have been thinking about getting a custom mirror on the wall in my walk-in closet and started scouting Yelp for 5-star glasses & mirror shops. We ordered a glass to replace a broken one from Chu supply in SF, but after a month of receiving the wrong dimensions 2x, and not having a window but a tarp... I was pretty fed up. They are horrible to work with. Don't ever go there. So, I decided to looking for another vendor. Going thru Yelp I found A&D. I spoke with Andy Saturday afternoon and explained to him our situation. He said to stop by after 4. We called him close to 5:30 and explained we are on our way. He said he'd wait for us since his store closes at 6. When we got there he was very helpful. My husband and I enjoyed talking to him. Our original glass was insulated double paned and he said it needed to be ordered, which I couldn't wait for so we opted for a stock singled paned non insulated window he had. This is my first ever review on Yelp and it has to go to Andy and A&D Glass Depot! Andy helped us solve a problems that's been bugging us for a long time. Our range hood light fixture glass broke and because it was an old range, the manufacturer didn't carry the parts anymore. We have been searching everywhere and was getting ready to buy a replacement range hood instead when I chanced upon A&D Glass Depot. I called on Saturday and explained what I needed, Andy said to come in on Monday and he can help me. Sure enough, I went on Monday, showed him the broken piece, and he promptly cut 3 pieces of the exact size and type as the broken piece, 2 that was needed as replacements and one as spare for good measure. If it was possible to give more than five stars, I would. I am in the process of remodeling two bathrooms, and needed a quote for vanity mirrors . One company I called said they would get back to me and measure, but they never did. The company that was going to put in my shower screens gave me an estimate that took my breath away, so I decided to do more looking. One place gave me a more reasonable estimate, but, they couldn't install until the end of the following month. Then, I got lucky, and called A and D. I spoke with Andy Monday morning. The estimate he gave me (both beveled mirrors, where the shower door people only had one mirror beveled) was half of what I had originally received--it was like getting one mirror free! I gave him a deposit (cash or check) and Andy said it would be a week to ten days--much better than a month! Two days later, as I was on my way out to buy new towels for my new bathroom (TMI?), Andy called. The mirrors were in. Could he come by and install them? You bet! The installers were friendly, professional, and quick. I have been going by and peeking in the bathrooms just to admire them--the mirrors are beautiful! I probably should also mention that these mirrors have a 1" bevel, where the other company would only provide 3/4". My only regret is that I placed the deposit on the shower doors with the other company before I spoke with Andy--they do shower doors, too. That is a major regret. Really, don't hesitate to use this company. They are the best! Quick response, reasonable pricing, fast turnaround, dependable, and quality work. I just cannot recommend highly enough. read more

It was 1/2 of the other company. I tried to get a third bid but after hearing my description of the small home window broken glass, they referred me to Andy - saying he was fair and did good work. Replacing one side of a sliding dual pane window took Andy 2 visits; 1) to measure and make sure we were talking about the same thing and 2) installation of the new window. Some punk-ass scumbag tried to break into our garage last night by smashing one of the glass panes in our garage door. Fool, little did he know we have double-layer safety glass, and he wasn't getting squat. After scaring him off and watching him skulk into the night and drive away in his shitty (white) circa-1999 Chevy S-10 pickup, I fired up yelp and came across A&D. Unlike the 5 garage door companies I called, A&D actually answered the phone, and said they'd be here by 10:30. Doorbell rang at 10:32, and he immediately got to work. His buddy at the shop had the glass fabricated in about half an hour, and then proceeded to deliver it. Whole job was banged out before noon, and for only $240 complete.
