I started out 2023 with a freak window crack. My 2nd story kitchen window (outer pane) shattered randomly in the middle of the day. This window is within one of the Sunset District home atriums that is mostly covered, so it was completely odd how this even happened. I have a double pane window that's part of a sliding glass door that failed and messing with my view so I called around at least 5 different places and even called the mailer I got from Andersen Windows and Top Glass was the most responsive and one of the only places in the city that said they can actually repair the window vs replacing the whole dang 4 piece sliding glass door - obviously unnecessary! I was quoted $780 to repair the window which actually involved replacing the double pane unit since this part needs to be done in a factory. Replacement took about 1.5 weeks to get the window made and then about an hour to swap out the glass. Overall, super happy with the results and at a reasonable price I'd say for the work that needed to be done. read more
