I remodeled my house in 2009 and had Marvin Windows installed at the back of the house, however I did not replace the windows in the front of the house as they were newer. In 2025, we decided to replace all the windows and the front door in the front of the house and wanted Marvin windows to match the front of the house. There are many window replacement companies out there that will build and install windows for you. However, we specifically wanted Marvin windows and we wanted to upgrade to the higher end Marvin windows as we had installed them in the back. Mark (the estimator) was very responsive and came out to measure and give us an estimate. We signed the contract and he said that we could expect installation in 3 months. Well, 3 months came and went and it seems our custom made windows from Marvin had some manufacturing issue and were delayed. Ok, so instead of a September installation, we were now we are expecting a December installation. It wasn't a big deal except that I had to restore my living room for Thanksgiving. This delay wasn't Window replacement Center issue, it was an issue with the Marvin manufacturing process. So, why am I giving a 5 star review. The installation was great. Oleg (sp?) was the lead installer and he did a wonderful job. My husband (a real DYI person and a perfectionist) even said that the workmanship was perfect. See attached pictures. They were here multiple days and left the rooms cleaner than when they started. Not a speck of dirt or dust was left. So, they only do new window replacement/installation. Meaning if you want a window where a wall exist, they don't do that. They don't fix existing windows (broken glass, old hardware). Mark did walk my husband through how to get a replacement part on another window were the hardware was rusted. They also don't do painting. You need to either paint it yourself on the inside or hire a painter to do this. Also, most of the installers speak very little English. We didn't find that to be an issue. If I had a question that they couldn't answer, they called Mark right away and we were able to work it out. The installers all came on time and there was even a day that I said they had to be done by 5 as we had a dinner engagement and they left when I wanted. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would hire them again to install any windows. read more

Mark, the owner, came to my house 3 times to take exact measurements. He also provided by the most detailed and accurate quote. Pricing was competitive as well. During install, his team was efficient, skilled and did a great job. During inspections, he gave me additional supporting documents so that we could get the windows signed off on. 2 years later, I had one window which was leaking but we think it might have just been a weep hole that was clogged. Made an appointment for someone to come by for an estimate and was provided a 30 minute time frame for when the estimator would be here. After waiting 2-3 minutes past the window, had to call to learn that the estimator was running "a few minutes late". The estimator ended up arriving 15 minutes late. Would have been nice to get a heads up. The estimator was not very helpful throughout the walkthrough. I've had a few folks come through and provide suggestions around what they would recommend / their takes on options unprompted. This individual was very short and was not very helpful throughout the process. While they took their shoes off downstairs, they kept them on upstairs which was also not appreciated. At the very least, I did get a quote 72 hours after the visit. I'm a bit unsure as to the stylistic differences between the series, but they did end up being more expensive than my other quotes. However, the line item cost for each window was not provided, just a subtotal - this is in contrast to all the other quotes I've received have this information to allow me to make better decisions around which windows I would want to move forward with. Possible I just got unlucky, but just wanted to share my experience. read more

We ended up going with the Milgard Styleline windows due to HOA requirements. The amount of hoops to jump through if you want to simply replace your windows in San Francisco is insane compared to other cities. It's unreasonable. That being said, working with Mark and his team made the entire process way easier than I expected. Mark came to my house within a couple of days of contacting him on Yelp, and he did a quick assessment of the windows, asked me what style I wanted (I wanted the same, just newer), and he was up front about the cost. Mark was also straightforward with what steps I needed to take to get the city to approve of my project as well. He was open with communication all throughout, and the two-man team that came to my house to replace the two front windows started around 9:30 am and were done around 4:00 pm. I paid Mark a deposit to start then paid the rest when the job was done through Zelle. Nice, safe, fast, and easy! As I said before, the city's requirements to replace a window on a house are unreasonable. For anyone out there that doesn't know where to start, just so you know, here's what I had to do: 1. Sign up for an account and fill out an application form. 2. Attach photos of your house and the two houses next to yours from across the street (I tried from up front, but my application was denied because they said the images could've been taken from the web). 3. Attach digital documents of all of the previous jobs that have been performed on your house. I had to dig through a couple of websites to do this, and it was a pain, but I got it done. I didn't want to physically go in person to their building to get the documents. 4. Attach digital documents of the layout of your neighborhood block over the last however many years (I forgot how many years I went back, but luckily with Sunset district houses, the blocks all look the same). 5. Acquire house information from a website including the year your house was first built. 6. Request from the city to have your house be classified as non-historic, so that way work can be done on your house (this was a $2000 plus fee on top of the window cost). This is the item Mark said I needed to get done in order for the windows to be replaced. It's an SF only thing from what I understand. Crazy SF... Anyway, I only listed all of that stuff so people know what they're getting into if you're replacing a window in San Francisco. Everywhere else, it's much faster and way less hoops to jump through. Final word: I'm SO glad I got to have Mark and his team do the job for me. They were professional, fast, friendly, and open with communication. If you're looking for the best window replacement guys, then your search is over. Contact them and get your job done! Just be prepared to have to deal with annoying San Francisco stuff. I understand that they want to have those rules in place in order to preserve the LOOK of San Francisco, but honestly, what percentage of all of the houses/buildings are they really doing that for?
