If I could leave no stars I would. My wife cancelled plans last Saturday for someone to come replace our windshield between 8am and Noon. These types of appointments are inconvenient anyway (tech could show up sometime between now and next month) but we bit the bullet and scheduled with A&E because the crack was growing quickly. Here's a recap of our experience: Nobody showed up at any time that day. Nobody called. When we tried to call nobody picked up. When we left messages nobody returned them. At this time it's been over a week and nobody has even attempted to fix their mistake or provide an apology or even explanation for what happened. A&E, thank you for being inconsiderate of our time and keeping an unsafe windshield on our truck. I'll be calling my insurance to ensure you didn't charge for a job not done. For those of you out there that think $120-$140 is a good kicker for getting your windshield replaced, just consider first what your time is worth because you're going to have to work for it. Update: After speaking with the owner, they worked hard to correct the issue and my experience. Businesses can't always control every experience but it does mean a lot to me when they take ownership of the issue and strive to improve. Changing my rating to 4 out of 5 stars up from 1 and I would feel confident bringing additional business to them in the future. read more

I don't usually put a company down for bad business but I feel very strongly that I need to inform future customers. Two weeks ago we had a rock hit my wife's windshield so I did some research and I found what I thought would have been a perfect company to do the job. You have heard their radio spot "we're the best in town" we'll anyway it took them 3 days to finally get back with me and we scheduled a tech to come to my residence and replace my windshield. The Saturday came tech arrived and he tells me the warehouse pulled the wrong windshield and he won't be able to do the work so I wasted a Saturday for nothing. The following Monday came around they scheduled a new tech he never showed on days he was supposed to and I had to call him to find out when he was coming out. This company has piss poor communication it made me take time off to ensure he would be here and failed to show. So finally the idiot came out at 630 said it would take 1 hr to install. He was done in 35 minutes told me everything was good didn't need to drive it for at least 24 hours I said fine gave me my receipt I went on my way. The very next day I drove it and I heard a lot of air coming through my cab of my truck so I called the company again and had them come out with a warranty tech he noticed that there were chips on my paint from where he used the ratchet to get the molding off and the molding that holds the window to the windshield wipers the glue was so far gone that it separated from the windshield. So again I made the call to the office they said they were going to send a tech out to see the issue Saturday came I waited at home all day long and a tech did not show when I called the company they said the tech came out and tried to call me but I didn't answer the phone but I had no calls on my phone so when I brought it up they accused me the customer of lying. So finally when the warranty check did show up he told me maybe I should go into the office in Mesa and straighten this thing out with their parts manager so I did so when I got there he's like well they're really busy right now I'm not sure if we can get you in but I'll try and I'll have one of the good tax work on it so I was there waiting for two hours and it was finally complete now if it wasn't for Annable their lead technician and Ricky for making this right I'll be very disappointed which I still am. Please don't get me wrong so just beware if you're going to use a company off the radio when they get super busy there Quality of work goes down. read more

Let me start by saying they DON'T even deserve 1 star but there is NO option for ZERO STARS!!! 1.) Company is NOT trustworthy and DON'T stand by their work 2.) Technician LEFT CAR KEYS ON HOOD and DROVE AWAY before I arrived back to my car in busy Downtown Phoenix location (very unsafe location!!) 3.) Technician installed a damaged windshield (hence drove away BEFORE i arrived back to my car). 4.) A & E Glass Repair refuses to install new windshield and insists that it was damaged AFTER install. Easy out to not replace with undamaged windshield!! Oh and remember #2 5.) Representatives are very rude and will not return calls and/or put you on hold and then disconnect you!! this place is a bad joke do not go there! 5 visits to get my lane control fixed after a windshield replacement. finally after bitching to everyone there. i went to a dealer. they didn't mount the camera right. they should have spotted this but they didn't. them to pour more salt in the wound. i had a star crack which as per my insurance i had to go back there because the repair was free. so the in experience help repair the crack but didn't vacume the impack and it look horrible.looks like a kid repair. thank a nd e all tyhe people you face on the way up you doint see on the way down!!!!!~ read more

The gentleman who came out to instal my glass was outstanding. I asked him some questions about my windshield wipers because it's a newer car for me and I changed them myself. Turns out I didn't a horrible job. I really appreciate him correcting them for me. Especially as that was not part of his job description. Very kind of him to help me. My only complaint is that I haven't received my rebate check yet and it's been well over a month. Granted I haven't called my insurance company and I think the hold up is likely on their end. Otherwise, it was a very easy process and was fairly quick. I think it might have taken a week or two to get the glass tep, but my insurance company insisted their adjuster come see the crack. It literally went horizontally across my whole windshield. Thanks for nothing USAA. I'm hoping that rebate comes soon, though. Fingers crossed. Very quick to receive that check after. Oddly, my side window broke last week. Have never had a broken side mirror in my life. I was so happy with my service last time, I went back to A&E. They were as great as ever and got me set up with my insurance company. Didn't realize that glass coverage works for the passenger side window too. So yay! My insurance is the only hold up. Both times made an adjuster come out and see the damage. This time she laughed cause there is literally no glass. Can't wait for my new glass. It's scary making a left turn across traffic now. Update: Sherolyn, one of the owners, reached out to me and made this right. She got me my rebate as promised, and today their warranty team came out and swapped out their defective windshield. I wish that it had been done right the first time, but I am happy with the way it ended up. My one note for them would that I hope they can find some lower level employees that care about the business like the owners do. There was still a sense of apathy from the call center reps that answer the phones. I do believe the owners legitimately care about their customers. read more

We are super happy with these guys! The phones are difficult to get through but a quick message to them on yelp and I received a call back very quickly to process my claims. Everything was easy, everyone was friendly and helpful, they arrived on time on their scheduled day and worked quickly. I could have used my insurance provider's preferred vendor but it was worth coordinating with A&E for their cash and restaurant perks. A little patience and understanding goes a long way, we will definitely go through A&E again for the next windshields (gotta love Arizona)! read more

I've been using A&E for over 15 years for all my windshield replacements. We have 5 cars and typically need 2 or so glass replacements a year. This year we had a problem - 1st time ever, not with the glass install and I would rather not go into details. What I do want to say is when I brought it to Amanda's attention at A&E she was absolutely awesome and when we dropped our SUV off at A&E "after hours" (6PM) for the repair the owner Eric and his sister Sherolyn was there to greet us. It was taken care of 100% and I will add "above and beyond" anything I would have expected. In the process of getting this taken care of, I've been to their location twice and I will say this is truly an awesome group of people who appear to truly enjoy their jobs, which speaks volumes for Eric and Sherolyn. read more

Call talked to everyone about my rebate they said we changed owners and would slowly be sending out checks soon. I read reviews about A&E Auto Glass and the main negative was the inability to reach them by phone. Well, I had NO issue with this! I called them a few times. A month after my windshield was replaced, I got a small chip. Called in and spoke to Brooke. She was very friendly and professional and welcomed me to come to the shop to have it looked at, no appointment needed. I showed up and was helped immediately by the gal at the front desk. She got a tech to come look at my windshield right away. Floyd filled the little chip and was a real nice guy. Professional, quick, and friendly! Don't use this company if you think you will get a check from them. Their ad is a lie about giving you money to have them install a windshield. Had them come out and replace 2 windshields on our cars. They said they would mail us our checks once our insurance paid them. Our insurance did pay them and A&E cashed those checks. Whenever we call, we sit on hold forever. When and if we do get through, they pass us off to someone's voicemail and we never receive a call back. Took 2 weeks for them to get my windshield replaced. I called multiple times and never got through and ended up leaving a voicemail that didn't get returned until a week after I finally got through and set up an appointment. Got my windshield replaced on 4/24/19, my tape rolled off the windshield as I pulled out of the parking lot, went home filled out the rebate form, it is now 6/14/19 and still no rebate almost 2 months later. Called to ask about it, was told they'd get back with me and have yet to hear anything. Very disappointed. Worst windshield replacement experience! They advertise significantly and do not have the infrastructure to keep up with the clients. Day 1 - called and scheduled an appt two days out (wed) - Didn't show up - I called and they stated "this happens all of the time" was told I would get a call back from a manager - no call. Day 2 attempt (fri) again no show - told "my windshield had not arrived," in lieu of being told it arrived Thursday by Jenny in the back office. Day three was scheduled for the next Tues, rep showed up on Saturday. Thank god I was available! Finally window in! Yay I thought - the check was the wrong amount promised for the three messed up scheduled installments. Next day - water inside car from rain and can hear wind driving because the whole top is not sealed. Also, all safety braking features are showing malfunctions and requiring dealership assistance. Called A & E, hung up on 3 times. Finally spoke to Ron the "manager" - stated "they keep changing systems and call center is malfunctioning and that they do not have the technology to reset safety devices on vehicles after windshield replacement" and that he "normally tells his clients that they also have to go to the dealership after install and just have them bill the shop". Love how no one told me this! Not a one stop shop? Was promised a call immediately back with a schedule date for a warranty windshield - and of course - no one called me back!!! Go to a more reputable shop. There is a reason they have to pay for client through advertisements, money back and a dinner. I am having the exact same problem everyone else is having in regards to rebate checks. Except the part about the checks bouncing, only because I haven't received mine YET. I am still waiting on two rebate checks after the insurance company has paid A & E according to a woman I spoke with on the phone. She stated my checks were sitting in an outgoing basket and that they would go out that week I spoke with her. That was over three weeks ago. What a scam. Being put on hold for 20 minutes at a time to finally talk to someone is very frustrating. Also left a message with SHEROLYN the other day and no return call from her as of yet. I never received a check and three weeks later my glass randomly cracked and had to be replaced again (not blaming them for that) I didn't deal with the installer first hand my wife said he was good and I'm Guessing the heat is what made the windshield crack.. I used AE in the past and I was happy with their service BUT now I'm very frustrated. I had my windshield replaced in January '20 my insurance company paid AE within two weeks. I still have not received my rebate check. I was told it would be sent within 90 days after the install because some insurance companies delay payment. Fine. It is now August 24th and still no check. I've call at least 6 times. I've spoken to Emmalee twice and I get the same story. "We will pay all rebates", that's what they say. I left two messages for Sheralynn , no call back. The last message I left was at the beginning of August. I called today and now you can't leave messages directly with Emmalee or Sheralynn. I just can't over their deals for customers! A semi truck ran over a huge stone that hit my windshield last night. I had a friend explain to me why A&E was the best way to go as compared to other glass repairing companies.
