Can't say what glass company those others reviewed because my experience with A&E was top flight all the way! First, my windshield costs over $1,100; next, my insurance company had never heard of A&E; and lastly, on Friday the replacement unit experienced a malfunction! It all began 2 weeks ago when Eric the owner was training a new installer in my neighborhood and noticed that I needed new glass. We had a polite conversation and I asked him to leave his card. Last Wednesday I phoned my insurance agent and she put in the claim Thursday morning no problem. Thursday afternoon they asked me who I would like to use and I remembered Eric and they contacted A&E. Friday afternoon their installer was here putting in a new windshield ... then disaster, the rear-view mounting unit on the new glass broke! I phoned A&E's office and Debbie the office manager assured me that a new windshield would be installed and the car ready to go by 9am Monday morning. They were in and out by 8:50am Monday in time for us to leave for an important meeting in Phoenix! This is a 1st class operation and I would recommend them to anyone in need of this service. As I said, our car windshield is a specialty unit and they had it on time and the replacement installed before the time I needed it. Excellent employees who take pride in their work. read more

This company does not do what they advertise. I got my windshield replaced the first week of February. I called 1 week after because my windshield was rattling and you can hear air. After about 30 minutes on hold, I was told that they like to wait at least 7 days so the glue has time to dry but he would start a claim and have someone return my call. Heard Nothing. 2nd attempt - Called again and was on hold for about 30 minutes again, spoke with someone and she said she was going to transfer me to a supervisor in the warranty department and he was waiting to talk to me. Got transferred to his voicemail and I gave him all the information, heard NOTHING. 3rd attempt - I emailed them and had a very nice lady call me back. She said she was able to retrieve my voice mail and had my email in her hand. She was going to walk it down to the warranty department and someone would call me that day, heard NOTHING. 4th attempt - I emailed them again and heard NOTHING. 5th attempt - I left a message after about 20 minutes on hold (remember you won't lose your spot in the line), told them I was going to take action if I haven't heard anything, guess what?! I HAVEN'T HEARD ANTYHING. Also, I took a part of the gift card and it paid for my windshield to get tinted and still no one has called me to have it done. This company is a rip off and is HORRIBLE at Customer Service. I wish I would have stuck with the company I used previously to replace my windshield. This place is great!! Called and left a message and they returned my call same day and made it extremely easy to contact my insurance company and schedule an appointment to replace my windshield. Staff was extremely friendly, they had free snacks, and my wait time was less than 45 minutes. Not only was my experience with this company phenomenal but I also received a check for 140 dollars and a voucher for a free meal at Rodizio grill. I had my services done a little over a year ago, right before COVID. I chose to travel across the valley because they promise the "rebate". Well it's been over a year and still nothing. I tried following up with it last year at least 3 times but no luck. But I did enjoy their theatre and snacks during my visit. read more

Do NOT use this company. They offer cash back but it's not worth the headache. They installed faulty glass in my car and in 24 hours it was cracked worse than it was prior to replacing it. So I call for their warranty, I take pictures send them to the text message they gave me. They say they need to send a tech out. Wait for the tech who was scheduled between 12-4 he finally decides to grace me with his presence at 5 pm. He says ya it's our bad it needs replaced and is covered around the warranty. Great. He says someone will call you shortly and set up any appointment. Days go by... no call... so I call. I'm on hold for 30 minutes finally get thru and they place me on a hold where they hang up on. I call back, back to waiting 30 minutes... they finally see where the technician says it needs to covered under warranty. Set up an appointment for this Thursday, my car needs to be recalibrated for all of the functions on my car to work properly so I ask if they can make that appointment for the same day. Apparently they don't do that, they hire it out so the receptionist says I'll text you back in just a few minutes with that confirmation. Guess what 4 days later not a word. I call back today. No appointment was made. They try to get me to agree to Friday appointment. Not happening! They messed up the glass to begin with I'm not sitting around waiting for 2 days for techs to show up late as always. They say supposedly the glass and recalibration with happen Thursday but I'm not holding my breath. Stay away from them! Horrible experience and no need to go through the headache with a million auto glass companies that also give incentives! read more

I got my windshield replaced Sept 1, 2018. I set the appointment earlier in the week. The technicians showed up around 10am. Their truck had probably 15 windshields in the back so i knew they were going to have a busy day. They did their work fast and was very good. My only gripe was when I called I asked the person scheduling my appointment if they took all credit cards, they responded "yes". When it was time to pay they didn't accept AMEX. So after the technician left, I had to go get cash and drive to their office to get my payment processed. I live in Mesa, so it wasn't a big deal for me. I am satisfied with the quality of work and will be going back to get chips filled to help prolong the life of my windshield! read more

A&E was easy to work with and reliable. I scheduled my appointment for a Saturday, forgetting that we were supposed to be at a relative's house during the 12-5 window. I called back and asked if I could just keep the doors unlocked, and if they would lock the car when they finished. They were happy to do that and I came home to a brand new windshield and $120 in my glove box. I would highly recommend A&E! read more

We ONLY used A & E Auto Glass because my Sister and her husband did, so we could go to this restaurant.....Rodizio Grill. NO tells you the hoops you have to jump thru. I'll let my son use the coupon by himself and save $40.00. IMPOSSIBLE to get the restaurant to answer the phone to make a reservation. When I called at 2:30 NO problem anytime is fine. Called my family then called back for over an hour, no one answered the phone...Then no time available till 8:45 (They didnt even ask how many people were in our party) Have to make reservations I was told by a manager by Thursday for a Saturday night. They blocked NO more reservations from 4:45 to 8 first thing in the morning. WHAT happened to "NO problem anytime is fine". read more

The entire process was great! Called and set up the claim, they got all the pertinent info and put us ona 3-way with my insurance company. After getting the insurance outta the way we set the appointment. The installer arrived in the 3 hour window I was provided, they did a check for damage (so a customer couldn't say they did something they didn't do) and got started. Half an hour later they were done, I signed the paperwork, was handed an envelope with the receipt and the "kickbacks" in it and thats that. Heard the Ad on the Radio for A & E Auto Glass offering up to $140 immediate rebate for having them put in our Auto Glass. Took them up on that offer. The glass was installed. At that time, they told us that we would need to register online for our rebate. We did that the same day. Was also told it would be a 30 day wait, we were OK with that. Called over a month later, Oh I'm sorry, but your insurance company has not paid. Called my insurance company who said they paid them within 3 days. Called back and was told, oh, I'm so sorry, we will cut the check but we would have to wait until the 24th. Again, OK with that. It's now the 29th, no check so I call again. Oh, I'm so sorry, it's taking longer than expected, we will be cutting the check on 2/20/20. I said, no, that is unacceptable and deceptive practices, can I please speak to a manager. She comes back about 5 minutes later and says, sorry a manager cannot take your call right now, but she was authorized to cut a check today. I said, I cannot make it there by 6, I will pick up the check on Saturday. OK, that is fine. Stand by for an update on Saturday. This is not worth my time, and is out of the way to even pick it up. WASTE of GAS! They should pay for that as well. BBB here I come. Not acceptable. This is really sad because the actual scheduling and installation went really well. read more

I used A&E to replace my auto glass in November of 2019. The glass installation, the crew that performed the work was professional enough. However one of the reasons I chose to let them replace my glass was the rebate, their offered rebate. I understood that the rebate would come to me after they received the insurance payment, made sense. As it's been now 6 months since the glass was replaced I recently talked to my insurance co. and was told they paid that claim before the end of the year 2019. Countless emails and attempted phone calls has netted me nothing on the rebate. The emails are the same every time, "should only be another week for the rebate". They get a single star for the job as their word cannot be trusted. read more

I had a windshield replaced on 10/8/19. They promised a $150 rebate with installation with the installer to bring with him. After several calls I still don't have my rebate. They keep telling me that they are backlogged. Now the date they gave me would be at the end of March. How long does it take to write a check? Worst business ever. read more

Took over a month to get my windshield replaced, ended up going somewhere else. I couldn't get a ahold of anyone when calling their shop. They rescheduled with me 3 times. They called me and told me they had my windshield but it had a crack and chip on it (brand spanking new from the dealership) they said they would return it and get a refund for a new windshield then call me back. Got the Dodge Ram glass i requested and they installed new moldings i also recieved a 140.00 check paid to me with my full glass coverage through my auto insurance! DO NOT GO HERE. Made an in shop appointment in May at 11:00 and had to wait an hour and a half for anyone to even get to my car. They made us fill out an online rebate form and state you will receive it within 30 days of service. I have never recieved my rebate and I have left voicemails, called multiple times and left on hold for 50+ mins and then someone had them just hang up immediately before I could say anything. Finally got ahold of someone and he took my name and number down and said that the billing lady will call back because she is in a meeting. Seems like the billing department is ALWAYS in meetings or on lunch. I've called during the morning during lunch time and well passed lunch time and always am provided the same excuses. Haven't gotten any updates. This has been the most frustrating time to just get any information. read more

Windshield was replaced a year ago, has never 'set' right, makes cracking sounds anytime you hit uneven payment. You can hear a slight breeze through the passenger side. Called several times over the year, put on hold, left my name and number. No call backs. The few times I talked to someone, they put me on hold and say they are transferring me to the warranty department. No one ever picks up. Safelite came out today and fixed it, no charge. read more

BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called in July 24th, 2019 to schedule an appointment to replace my windshield. I spoke with Doug who took down my vehicle information and scheduled my appointment for July 30th between 11am-3pm. On the day of scheduled service I received a call 10:45am from the service driver. I returned the call at 10:49am and no one answered. I then proceeded to call Trisha Rose, the account rep, at 10:52am, 10:55am, 10:56am and 11:00am... no one answered. By 12:30pm I receive a call from "Amber" saying they are calling to reschedule because the driver said the car wasn't available to do the service! My car has been at the address provided to them since 7:00am...the driver NEVER SHOWED nor did he or the company answer any phone calls BEFORE the scheduled appointment. Realizing their mistake, Amber gets a hold of management to contact the driver, "Javier" to send him back out before the schedule end time of 3:00pm. WELL, 3 o'clock comes and goes...in the mean time, I had called the company to find out where he was AGAIN and AGAIN no one answered. PLEASE SEE MY SCREENSHOTS OF ALL OUTGOING CALLS MADE TO THIS COMPANY WITHOUT AND RETURN CALLS! How do you not answer a business line? It's no wonder they are advertising freebies on the radio. A clear lack of business sense and poor customer service. I should have checked out YELP before contacting them...its as if the manager's entire day is spent replying to negative comments. At some point you'd think a competent owner would have identified the underlying issues in poor management and communication to improve the online presence of his business. Clearly not. I only went with these guys since the time before I received my check right when they replaced the windshield. I needed another replacement and remember I still have not received my 120 from last time. I would no longer recommend this scam of a business. Was looking for a place to replace my windshield , after speaking to my sister in law who had referred them earlier I will not only NOT be using this place.... ever!!! I will let every person I come into contact with in the retail field to not use them. I have never heard of such negligence, and complete lack of customer service. This place will be out of business sooner than later with the staff they have running the place. You never tell the customer that you should of stopped helping them and that the whole place of business is against them, and that only you the manager is the one on thier side trying to help. Sounds like the manager , just wants or keeps trying to put out fires instead of holding her staff accountable for the mistakes. And if the owners are ok with this behavior and looking a blind eye they should get in there and fix the mess that is thier business. They should do the job right the first time not the 3rd time. And by the looks of these reviews the bad ones ARE BAD the good ones would be friends and family of employees or people who had a first reaction and are happy with the money they got back instead of the customer service. We have 3 vehicles that all need windshields right now and great glass coverage. I dont need money back, I need the job done well with just a little courtesy..... This company repaired my glass but broke a piece of plastic on my car in the process. They assured me it would be fixed ASAP free of charge. I've been calling every week and still hasn't been fixed because no one seems to know what I'm talking about. It's now been over a month and half. Every time I call I'm on hold waiting for someone to answer for minimum of 20 minutes. Their voicemail is full so you can't leave a message, if you try it tells you voicemail is full and press 0 for a representative then it says it cannot complete the call and boots you off. I'm call number 6 and wait time of 35 minutes currently. Worst customer experience of my life! read more

When they never came he called and they saw he made the appointment but saw it was never scheduled for that morning. Daryle was so angry -- as this was going to keep him from leaving that day (and it did) -- and he had to be back Fri. He asked, how would they compensate him? .... They finally got someone to come about 2:30. He did a good job once he got here...and here it is the end of Dec.-over a mo. later and we never received the movie tickets. I have had a terrible experience with A&E. I called them about a month ago to schedule a replacement. Unfortunately I had to have my insurance approve the replacement, and had to take it in to be reviewed. Several days after that was complete, I replied to the email that the original agent sent me to schedule- but it was returned. 4 additional calls to the office, 2 emails, and 3 messages on their website and not one time did anyone ever reach out to me.
