I've had the same experience as other reviewers. I had my windshield replaced in November and still have not received a rebate check. I even had to go back in because they didn't seal the windshield correctly and air was leaking through. Even with going back in to have it fixed my windshield still doesn't seem completely sealed. I called and they said the check will be mailed in February... Disappointed all around. I do NOT recommend this company. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. First off the installer couldn't even clean the new glass, not a big deal. Second, after six months waiting for rebate check it took a phone call to get it. Hmm all these negative reviews and the same person from A&E responds asking the customer to contact her. Well 1st, all the negative reviews clearly state all the attempts the customers have made to contact the company. So what should the customer try anymore? 2nd, the company has the customer contact information so why isn't the company contacting the customer? Answer is simple, because they think it looks good to respond on Yelp saying they want to resolve the issue when in fact it's just lip service. 3rd, isn't it weird that the person responding on Yelp is listed as company owner YET supposedly by the company's advertisement "A&E" are the initials of the husband and wife owners. I called A&E 4/23/2019 and left a message for them to cancel my appointment for today because I wasn't going to sit on hold for an eternity. Guess what....they still sent out the tech to replace the windshield..... apparently they don't check their voicemails either.... Stay away from this company even if they are offering 120-140 and 1 free dinner to Rodizio Grill. I was referred to another shop apparently because of who my auto insurance carrier is. The shop was 808 auto glass. We had an appointment no one showed or called. I had to call them and they promised I would be on the schedule for the next day. Again no one showed and all my calls were being sent to voice mail. Called A and E to let them know they called 808 auto glass and said I would be receiving a call by someone. Call never came. So unprofessional and such a disappointment. Call someone else besides these two if u need a windshield replacement. Would have given no stars if I had the option. read more

Was promised a rebate for a windshield replacement that was completed on 8/1/19 - numerous promises, calls, complaints, etc and still no refund. Customer service is horrible - get passed around and don't get a return phone call. Additionally, windshield is already broke again. I can't see emphatically enough to "stay away from this company." Worst experience with a business that I've had in a LONNNG time! I definitely do NOT recommend this business. I brought my vehicle to their location. Their technician asked for my keys. There was nobody in the front to greet me or explain the process. The technician did NOT do a walk around with me, which later I found is something they are supposed to do. The technician came back to tell me that I would have to wait another 7 days for the glass replacement because he cracked it when installing it. Very upsetting because all they were doing was messing around in the bay and I don't feel they were attentive to the job - probably why the glass cracked or they were using bad materials. They also told me the vehicle was safe to drive, but sorry, when the glass they broke is a deep break from top to bottom, I was not about to take my vehicle driving around. Worst bit of advice they could give a customer. They also destroyed the plastic on the Jeep and tried to tell me it was due to wear and tear and that I would need to replace them. Mind you, I had pics of the Jeep from the weekend before and the plastic pieces were NOT damaged. We tried to work it out with the management team, who was horrible to work with. They kept telling me that they would need to come out again, this time mobile and that they would try to get more insurance money to pay for the damages to the plastic pieces! I gave them another opportunity to correct their mistake. The mobile technician came out and again, more issues, we found blemishes in the windshield. The technician told me that he informed their management team and the manager told him that they can have someone buff it out!!! Ehm, no thank you! In addition, they can't buff out blemishing that is within the glass. I called to speak to management again and they passed me from person to person and in some cases (4 times), left me on hold until I hung up and called back. Finally, I spoke to a woman in their management department and all she did was try to argue their points that they need more time to get it right and didn't want to hear my customer experience at all. She told me she'd call me back and to date (about month now), no response. But they sure did collect the insurance money!!! If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. Very, very, very disappointed and I would never recommend them. So glad that SAFELITE was able to fix A&E's mess with no headaches. They even added my tint strip that was originally on the windshield. Something A&E said they couldn't do even though it was on the original windshield. THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT HEADACHES AND ISSUE AFTER ISSUE. They really need to work on their service. read more

This place is complete joke!!! I had my windshield replaced at the end of August and finally, after numerous phone calls and tons of excuses, I got my rebate yesterday, Jan 28, 2020! Almost 5 months later. The girl in charge of the rebates, I believe her name is Sharolyn, is so phony. I was getting so sick of her excuses as to why my rebate was taking so long. And at the end of every conversation and text she would say, "I appreciate you"....so canned and so ingenuine. They came out replaced my windshield and while the technician was replacing it with my new windshield he cracked the new one! No big deal he explained that the glue needed to dry before they could place another one on but that someone would call me RIGHT AWAY that was on 4/24. I have tried to call them I sat on hold for 45 minutes, Then again for 35 minutes then 59 minutes. And then as stated over and over in their hold message I could press 9 to leave a message so I press 9 and guess what!?!?! THE VOICEMAIL BOX WAS FULL HAHAHAHAHAHA. Do NOT use this business. I had my windshield replaced early September 2019 and my insurance paid the claim one week later. A&E said they would send out my rebate check 30 days after they got paid, it's been way longer than 30 days. I called them and they said they would send the check out the second week of October and still nothing. I complained that they got paid around 10/12 by my insurance company, I don't know why they can't cut a check then. The woman on the phone said, "there are hundreds of people we have to process, you have to wait just like everyone else". I don't buy it. Install was good, they showed up when they said they would. I'm not sure about quality of glass, with within 1 week I have a crack. I got my windshield replaced in April and have contacted them 5 times already regarding my rebate check. They have responded 4 times now. The first 3 times they said they were mailing a check out right away. This last time they said they would send the money thru zelle. Guess what, still no money. Their yelp rating has dropped substantially over the past 6 months due to this very issue. Used to be very convenient getting your cash back at the time of the service but I was advised before the job and agreed. Job was done on 07/23 and today is 09/30 and still no check when insurance paid more than a month ago. I call today and they check the status and state we don't know when we will mail the check it's not my job I only cut them. This is another awful review for a and E auto glass. They are operating out of two different shops and I believe they are laundering money in this way. They have not paid us the $140 that they promise and they keep giving us reasons why and keep giving us different dates when it will arrive. These people are beyond frustrating to deal with. They make it sound like they can get your glass replaced in a few days but that doesn't seem to be the case. I called on Tues to schedule. No problem, we'll be out in this 4 hr block on Thurs. He shows up and has the wrong windshield. Okay, it can happen when they don't have all the info. Rescheduled for Monday. They call Monday and say all glass that came in was broken. Rescheduled for Tues. This time just my glass was broken. Reschedule for Wed. No call, no show. Schedule for Thurs. No call, no show. Finally get a hold of them and schedule it for a week out. Still no call, no show. I had a great experience with them the first time I had a windshield replaced and was a return customer. So, after giving them 5 tries, I am so done with them as a Company. I don't know how they have stayed in business as long as they have with the very poor way they treat customers. Back in May we used A&E to replace a windshield on my husbands car. My husband had no issues with the appointment or the technician. He even got 140 dollars cash and several coupons which came in quite handy. The problem came in where within a month the glass was already chipped in several places. Within two months our insurance adjustor came by to actually check out the glass because there have been complaints on this company. The adjustor told us that the glass they are using is really cheap glass and wont last long at all. This turned out to be true because now less than 3 months later we have to get another new windshield because one of those various chips turned into a huge crack. Thankfully we carry full glass. I, like many others, heard about this company on the radio and decided to get my windshield replaced with them back in March after hearing about the incentives they offered. Not only were the technicians 2 hours later than the window they gave me but they didn't call to let me know they'd be late until 15 min before the window of time was over. After they were done they handed me the check and restaurant voucher. I deposited the check only to get a letter from my bank days later saying it had bounced and I was being changed a fee. I've reached out to A & E many times through email and phone calls asking for immediate contact and have not had anybody reach out to me to discuss the issue. We have had problems with this company for over two weeks now. The first time their people told us that they had to special order the glass for my 2019 Kia soul. My husband and I scheduled for both of our vehicles to get their glass replaced. When their guys came out to replace the windshields they only had my husband's windshield. we were told they didnt have it yet. So we rescheduled for yesterday the 2nd. We were told someone would be here between 9 and 1 Thursday. No one showed. When we called at 1:30 we were told that we were scheduled but never put on a route. So we rescheduled for today, Friday the 3rd. We were told by Heather we would be their first stop between 8 am and 12pm. My husband let her know I had somewhere to be by 12. So, finally today comes and its 10am an no one is here. So I called, the receptionist tried to argue with me, saying they dont even open until 8am and no one would be there at that time. I said "ok well can you find out when they will arrive?" She put me on hold for 10 minutes. When she finally came back to the phone she said she cant get ahold of dispatch, but they are for sure going today. I told her If they arent here by 11 I'm going to have to cancel. 5 minutes later Heather, the woman whom spoke to my husband yesterday, called me back. She stated they are going to be there by 11 because it only takes 20 minutes to get to my house and if i didnt believe that we would be first stop I can check the van... i cannot believe they would talk to a customer like that, terrible customer service. Finally the men arrived at exactly 11am because they had our address wrong in their files. We have gotten glass replaced twice at this address by them already. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Had a huge crack in my windshield and called to set up and appointment. Everything went fine there. Upon the day to get my windshield replaced, the installer didn't even show up! No call or anything! Called to complain and reschedule for the next day. They said it was suppose to be Friday instead of Thursday which wasn't true at all. Anyways, the next day, Friday, they show up, start replacing my windshield. After about 20ish minutes they call me out to tell me that they DONT HAVE THE RIGHT WINDSHIELD FOR MY CAR! Don't you think before removing my windshield you'd double check to see if you have the correct replacement? Obviously not! So, they put my original windshield back in and it was completely shattered! They claimed to say it was still safe to drive. I should have taken a picture of it but I did not feel safe driving my car at all! I had plans later that day and had to take my mothers car. So the next day they finally arrive and replace my windshield with the correct one. They got black glue on my white car and inside of my interior. So unprofessional, unorganized, and messy! I got my windshield and back window repaired from this company. One they came with a completely different windshield that was not tinted like my original windshield and the replacement back window was damaged so he couldn't fix it. I told him to put to windshield on and come back Monday for the back window. Monday comes along and they have the WRONG window, they then go and get the right window. After issuing them both my checks from my insurance I received the rebate and submitted it instantly now a month later nothing. Not to mention the tech left glass all in my sons car seat and around my car. I called and no answer nothing. This is a SAFETY HAZARD, who knows how well my windshield is glued on I could fly through the windshield if I got in an accident! I am getting told all of this by a preferred vendor for geico! I was on hold for 57 minutes to try and get it fixed and I gave up I contacted geico and they are sending safelite out to do the job correctly! Andrew approached me on the street as he noticed cracks in my windshield. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. He informed me I could replace my windshield through his company and my insurance so I did. Within 48-hours, two technicians were at my house replacing my windshield. I got a bit nervous looking at reviews but noticed most of the bad ones were super old. They did a great job on my windshield and went above and beyond fixing my weather stripping and adding a half tint to my front window. Thanks a ton! read more

Watch Out! Disappointed, is the word that comes to mind. After 2 weeks, multiple phone calls and assurances, they still couldn't get it right. First call in was to verify insurance coverage and to specify that the OEM glass be installed. A 3 way call between myself, A&E and the Insurance carrier, was to confirm that the insurance company would indeed pay for the specific glass. Windshield was to be installed, installer was over an hour late and even after I asked him to verify he had the correct glass, he showed up with a different windshield. The installer ( an independent contractor-not an employee) apologized and assured me A&E would contact me shortly and schedule the correct glass installation......they didn't! So, I called and scheduled yet another appointment and was assured they would show up with the correct product. You guessed it.........they never showed up for the appointment! Yet another call to their "customer service" department. "I have to speak with a manager" was the reply. They called me back stating the Manager wants ME to pay them money for the correct glass, they were billing the Insurance company for! I asked to speak to this "Manager" . " Not available" was the response. Hmmmm....guess the Manager disappeared just before I asked to speak to them. Please have this Manager call me back I asked. They did replace my windshield, so that part was good. However, I made it very clear during my initial call that I had a tint strip on my windshield and the woman verified it would be replaced on the new windshield and covered by my insurance. Before we finished setting the appointment, I confirmed with her again that this would be done. When the tech came to my work to replace the windshield, I verified with him up front that the tint would be replaced. He showed me the work order and said there is NO indication of tint being replaced or needed, but assured me that he would put a note on the account to have them contact me and get the tint done afterwards. I agreed to that, understanding mistakes happen. No one called me about it, so a week or so later I called A&E and spoke with a gentleman that said there were no notes made on our account and no indication that tint was to be placed; but ASSURED me that I would hear from either his manager or the 3rd party that they use for tint. He said it would be done on Monday at my work and that the tint company would be calling me to verify Monday's tint. Everyone catching on yet? of course no word from ANYONE. No tint. I called back a week later and was ASSURED that I would hear from "Anthony" the tint guy or the A&E manager. It's been a week now and (you guessed it!!) NO one has called me and there still is no tint on my window and here comes Arizona summer. Won't be referring this place to anyone. This is the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with!!! I was referred by a patient, that raved about the customer service and "perks" so I thought I'd help her out by giving her a referral. I called the company and the gentleman I spoke to was monotone and not friendly in the least. They called my insurance company to get approval at which point my insurance told me I could choose any company (maybe it was a subliminal message to not use this horrible company!!) anyway got my approval over a week ago and I've called 4 times each time to be on hold OVER 30 minutes!!! I was told by a friend to go to a&e because they offer $140.00 cash back on the spot. When I called to set up the appointment, they told me they were bought by another company so they no longer do cash back, but a check would be sent out in 30 days. My windshield was replaced on 9/27/2019. I waited 30 days and there was no check. I called and they said they would send out the check in 2 weeks. I then received an email 6 weeks later saying there was fraud and and they will get the check sent out as soon as possible but if I have another windshield needing to be replaced, they'll pay $140.00 cash. I called again 2 days ago to check on the status and received an email saying it will possibly be sent out 1/30/2020. It's frustrating because I'm just getting the run around.
