I always like giving back to my community. This was the eighteenth year of the New Albany Classic and seeing so many families coming together for a good cause was wonderful. There was so much to see from the farm tours I helped assist with to the horse competitions and concerts on stage. Disney's Dove Cameron and Ryan McCarten were there. As well as Rae Lynn and Skylar Stecker. They rocked it yesterday! There were plenty of food trucks there from Schmidt's to Dan's Deli. Plenty of rides for the kids. Face paintings for the children as well. So as you can tell it was very family friendly. I even heard how much the kids loved the farm tour I had given because they got to see the tractors and fruits and vegetables that were being grown such as tomatoes, peppers, okra, cucumbers, berries and sweet potatoes. Some of the tomatoes looked sad and were dying off. In all, if I had children I would definitely bring them to this type of an event. As I said before, it was very family friendly and so many organizations were there to keep the vibe up like the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Crew and Sunny 95.

There was musical entertainment and people were making use of the paddleboats in Big Walnut Creek. There were lots of herb plants to choose from, and volunteers assisting. The lines to pay weren't terrible, and using little tablets, the cashiers accepted cash and credit. With Local Cantina so conveniently located, we were able to sit on the patio to eat, enjoy the music, and people-watch. It was a nice time without being overcrowded, and I look forward to next year!

Mill Street was closed so I'm guessing to get into the garage you'd have to come from the north or east. We parked just across the creek in the park south of 62, and had a very short walk. Definitely coming next year.

We didn't eat there, but everything smelled great around us. We went to watch the Fly Fishing Film Festival, the sound system was great as well as the films quality. I will definitely go back to see movies there again. There isn't a parking lot, so you may have to park on a side street and walk a little, we parked about a block away.

I've taken various friends with me over the years. With COVID this year, you weren't allowed to bring your own bucket, but this was ok because I usually buy their boxes anyway. I like that I can use them and recycle them. Earlier this week, I spent about 2 hours picking strawberries and walked out with about 17 pounds. I was able to make jam & jelly, as well as save some berries to go with strawberry shortcake. The prices are reasonable at $2.95/pound for pick your own and $5.75/container of pre-picked berries.

Visited Stokes Berry Farm for my first strawberry picking experience. It was about the third week…read moreof the season and there were still many ripe berries available. Today's strawberries were on the smaller side but still sweet. Gathered up over four pounds of berries to make fun concoctions, mostly jelly. Since this wasn't the start of picking season it took about five mins for me to really find some that were worth pulling. In my experience, many were along the irrigation pipes, and the larger ones were covered (shades) with thick green leaves. Tip: Contact or follow the farms social media for key picking times and confirm picking is available before you make the hike to the area.

Wexner Center For the Arts

This is a really cool art gallery. It's free for OSU students…read more The exhibitions seem to mostly be modern art. Or at least that's all I've seen when I come. It's not a huge place, but it's worth your time. Give yourself maybe an hour to soak the whole thing in. The space itself is really open. They have security standing around as well. Probably because someone had used a gun to shoot and ruin some of the art work a few years ago. They have a coat check as well. I think because of safety. And I totally understand that. There is also a movie theatre in here for specific showings and a little cafe that is ever so popular, Heirloom. Anyway, thankful for free art galleries! It's a fun thing to do on campus.

The fundamental problem is that this has always been a museum nobody asked for in a location that would be better used for something more useful to the OSU community in a poorly planned building named after a person who is probably not a point of pride for the school and whose contribution cannot possibly have covered even a fraction of what it's cost to keep the place up over the years. Other than that, it's great. Seriously, though - if you're visiting columbus and want to see an art museum, the downtown one is the way to go, or their short north outpost if you're into contemporary art. If you're visiting Ohio State and want to see exhibits about what they do there, there are nice ones in the library and scattered across the various department buildings. I don't know what the future holds for this place...but they better figure something out before they go the way of Mean Mr. Mustard's.

Those who patiently waited in line, and those who didn't want to wait, so they started their own line, by driving across the grass and getting in front of the other cars. Management was on the scene in no time, to explain how things work but, didn't have them move! I guess there was a generation that skipped the rules. At $12.00 per adult, it sounds too good to be true. Watching a brand new movie. Followed by a second movie! There were a few pros & cons, but we had a great time.

If you order something that isn't ready made they take your phone number and text you when it's ready, which is convenient. The restrooms need some major work. Toilets were broken. The water on the faucets barely trickled out to wash your hands. Our girls didn't even want to use them because they were pretty sketchy, but we had an hour long car ride home. Regardless of the shoddy bathroom, we had a great time!
