He gets you in and out quickly, even while being friendly and conversational. It's a test only center so you can be sure he's not going to try and get you to perform unnecessary repairs. My son and I were doing some repairs on one of our vehicles, which required the battery to be disconnected. This reset the emissions readiness of the vehicle, and the onboard computer needed to evaluate the vehicle under certain driving conditions. Fernando explained what needed to be done, and my son completed the hoops and we got back in for the smog check. I definitely recommend this place!

I'm glad I checked because sometimes Groupon can be cheap but it usually doesn't include $8.25 certificate fee and $1.75 electronic transfer fee, so you end up paying more than you thought you would. I walked in on a Saturday around 1:30pm without a reservation and was in and out within 10 minutes. The gentleman was friendly and efficient. I'm so glad I found this spot and will be coming back for smog checks in the future if the price remains the same or reasonably priced! They even had a TV inside while I was waiting!

I guess when your car hits 8 years, the first smog needs to happen and coincided just shy of 8 years *eye roll* I was in the area and came across Hayward Auto Care (HAC). STAR certified location which i realized (later) is overkill for my low-mileage and maintained vehicle. Yes, I should've done my homework beforehand (failed) and paid more for convenience. Completed in 20mins. I would consider returning for other services.
