He gets you in and out quickly, even while being friendly and conversational. It's a test only center so you can be sure he's not going to try and get you to perform unnecessary repairs. My son and I were doing some repairs on one of our vehicles, which required the battery to be disconnected. This reset the emissions readiness of the vehicle, and the onboard computer needed to evaluate the vehicle under certain driving conditions. Fernando explained what needed to be done, and my son completed the hoops and we got back in for the smog check. I definitely recommend this place!

If you have a unique problem, chances are it's going to take longer than you would want it to take to get it fixed. Otherwise just go to the dealer to get it fixed and pay dealer rates/prices. As soon as I arrived, I asked Mr. Doug, the manager, how long I would have to wait for my turn. He told me only about five minutes and that the entire process would take approximately ten minutes. He was right! In less than five minutes, it was already my turn. Mr. Daniel was the service technician who inspected my car, and I had a wonderful experience with him. I asked him quite a few questions, and he graciously took the time to answer all of them. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in doing the inspection. Thank GOD, my Nissan passed the smog inspection! What impressed me even more was that Mr. Daniel went beyond what I had come there for. He checked the air pressure in my tires and noticed that some of them needed more air, so he took the time to add air to them. He certainly did not have to do that, and I really appreciated the extra care. I also had questions about something I had previously been told regarding my check-engine light, and Mr. Doug took the time to explain it to me in a way that helped me better understand what was going on with my car. It is always nice to come across people who take the time to be helpful and kind while doing their job well. I left K1 Smog very pleased with my experience and will gladly return when it is time for my next smog inspection.

For 1995 and older you need evap equipment... this is the only place I checked that had both. It is next to a tire shop and there are some food places neighboring - that is great for waiting and convenience. They two guys working here are very pleasant and love cars. I like that. I had a new cat put in and my truck passed with almost all zeros. If your cat is old keep it hot. Let it idle before you get it tested. Take it on the highway for 20 minutes before you come.
