While waiting, I chatted with another customer who said they've been coming here for years because of the great service and prices -- totally makes sense after my visit. They even have a nice little shaded area with umbrellas where you can relax while you wait. Quick, friendly, and stress-free -- definitely my go-to spot for smog checks from now on! Mike at KS Smog was fantastic! Friendly, professional, and had me in and out in about 15 minutes. The process was quick and easy with no hassle at all. One thing I noticed--when I arrived right at 8:00 AM, there were already five people behind me waiting for smog inspections, so definitely come early! It's easy to see why they're so busy. I highly recommend KS Smog if you need a fast and efficient smog check. They open at 8:00 AM, which is earlier than many other smog shops in the area that don't open until 9:00 or 10:00. I've been here before and always had exceptional service. The owner is a man of few words and I believe he had his son working there too when we brought in our Lexus for a smog. We were there first and they immediately got to work and we took a seat on their comfortable couches outside. Yes, there were couches with cushions outside at the waiting area! They were fast, efficient and most importantly the best value out here. They are our go-to now for Smog Checks! Clearly a reason why they continue to get 5 Stars! After reading the great reviews I decided to give them a try. I got a quote from Mike on my phone which was lower than any other quotes I got from other places. They are a 10 minute drive from my home. I just drove up about 10am. I was directed to drive up to the garage right away. My dog and I sat on the couch they had outside. I filled out some paperwork and it took around 15 minutes in all. The employee who helped me was super friendly . The dmv asked me for the first time to get a smog test. So like a regular adult I started stressing out! Because on top of all the expenses of having a car, worrying about a smog test was not on my list. I called around some places from looking up smog on my Apple Maps but they were all expensive. So I came here and found a recent review and it was 45$ after tax for my Mazda 2019! The Asian guy was so nice (didn't catch his name) and so welcoming. I was stressing out because DMV wouldn't let me register my 2018 vehicle without a smog. What a relief to find KS Smog! We came midday Friday but saw 4 cars waiting, the owner still greeted us and gave us the pricing, we said we will return tomorrow! We stopped by at 10am Saturday but saw a line of cars so decided to check back. We arrived at 11am and got in line and we left by 11:30 flat $45 credit card swipe with an official certificate for DMV. And the friendliness of the owner is why I'll be referring everyone to KS Smog! He answered my questions and took away my fears because I lost my DMV paperwork, he said no problem we have everything we need to register you with the car vin number! Could not be happier with this smog station! I called them asking about how soon I can get an appointment for a smog. They mentioned it was by when you get there. I did not wait long and there was some chairs to sit on. They did a nice quick job and were super friendly and answer all my questions! :) 45$ out the door is amazing value! I highly recommend KS smog and he needs a smog :) this is going to be my goal to place as you cannot beat price and quality and value. read more

I went to another highly rated smog test place in Hayward but the owner didn't show up. So I called KS Smog and they said there are 2 cars ahead. No appointments just drop in. It takes about 10 min per car of waiting when you have cars ahead of you. When it's your turn it's quick. You drive up and they plug in a tester to your car under the steering wheel. Then you're done not long after. $45 for everything. read more

He gets you in and out quickly, even while being friendly and conversational. It's a test only center so you can be sure he's not going to try and get you to perform unnecessary repairs. My son and I were doing some repairs on one of our vehicles, which required the battery to be disconnected. This reset the emissions readiness of the vehicle, and the onboard computer needed to evaluate the vehicle under certain driving conditions. Fernando explained what needed to be done, and my son completed the hoops and we got back in for the smog check. I definitely recommend this place!

I'm so glad I found this spot and will be coming back for smog checks in the future if the price remains the same or reasonably priced! They even had a TV inside while I was waiting!

It was like pulling up in front of someone's driveway and getting your smog check done right there. There was only one guy working. I would describe him as nice, quick and efficient. When he was writing down the info for my car, I showed him the web special on my phone and he was able to give me the discount. It took about 25 minutes for my smog check to be done. It probably would have been done quicker but there were a couple of people ahead of me. They did a few chairs inside for you to sit while you wait. If you were planning on using the web special, I would recommend calling them just to make sure your car qualified for the discount before you go. I thought I might have needed to call a few times before someone picked up but they were quick to answer my call. I noticed the guy actually carried the phone with him when I was there. Oh boy, let me tell you about KS SMOG! This place is the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, the...you get the point. I had such a great experience here that I'm ready to give them a five-star review faster than you can say "carbon monoxide emissions." First off, the customer service was top notch. The staff was so friendly and helpful that I almost forgot I was at a SMOG check. They made me feel like a VIP, even though I was just there to get my car checked. And the cherry on top? The wait times were so low that I didn't even have time to finish my bag of Cheetos. But the real magic happened when they started working on my car. These guys were like the SMOG whisperers. They knew exactly what to do and did it with lightning speed. It was like watching a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat, except instead of a rabbit, it was clean air coming out of my tailpipe. And let me tell you, the results were good. So good, in fact, that I wanted to frame my SMOG certificate and hang it on my wall. My car was purring like a kitten and I felt like I was doing my part to save the planet (or at least the air in my neighborhood). So there you have it folks, KS SMOG is the real deal. If you need a SMOG check, do yourself a favor and head on over there. You'll get great customer service, low wait times, efficient work, and best of all, a good result. I just took my son's Toyota RAV 4 in today for a smog check again after 2 years and the same excellent service from Mike at KS!!! I recommend KS to everyone that needs a smog check!!! He has not raised his price since 2 years ago! It is still $35.00 for the smog check and certificate. Others will charge you between 50-80 for the same service. Others charge extra for any vehicles that are not sedans. KS doesn't do that. Cars older than 2000 will be more. read more

Wow!! I was in and it in 15mins. Mike was super friendly, he even reminded me about my coupon! I mean who does that? He's really honest and more than fair with pricing, if your car doesn't pass smog he will retest for free. After my smog check he sent an electronic message to the dmv so I wouldn't have to do anymore paperwork. A+ service and friendly staff. My first time there and I will be returning to smog all of my vehicles here in the future. read more
