My first experience with A&F towing was great but unfortunately my last two have had consistent issues. During both recent experiences, the AAA virtual assistant said the technician had arrived, but the technician was nowhere to be found. Only after waiting 15-20 minutes did the technician call to say he was at the location and after confirming the address, he stated both times, "the navigation took me to the back street". I didn't catch the name of the first technician but the recent one was Merschad. I suspect he was the technician in the first poor experience due to the same line being used. On top of wasting time by sitting around not actually servicing peoples cars, the technician charged a $50 labor fee. When calling A&F directly, they claimed that independent vendors had the right to charge fees due to a need of special equipment. The car being serviced is a Honda Accord. What special equipment do you need to change a battery aside from a wrench... Overall I am very disappointed in the low level of professionalism by this technician. Having to wait is understandable. Being forced to wait even longer because the technician wants to sit in his car is inexcusable. read more

My experience with A&F Towing was excellent from start to finish. The tow was initiated through AAA. I was contacted immediately by A&F's office to let me know they were handling the tow and to provide me with a target arrival time. They handily beat the target arrival time. The driver, Juan, was experienced and knowledgeable. I was concerned as the car being towed was a collectable. Watching Juan's expertise quickly put me at ease. My ride to the destination with Juan was actually enjoyable as Juan was friendly and personable. My car was gently handled and safely unloaded at the destination. The day after the tow, A&F Towing called to ensure everything was in order and that I was pleased with the service. Fernando was so helpful and instantly turned around a bad day into a great one! My girlfriend accidentally left her keys in her car and locked the car before either of us could realized what had happened. With her work shift coming up later in the afternoon and a family event I had to attend that evening, we thought our day was gone. I requested battery service through AAA and was assigned A&F Towing. I got the battery changed in September 2023, and the technician insisted that the battery needed to be changed because it was "more than 3 years old," which wasn't the case. They did not test the battery out but when asked again repeated this phrase despite the battery being less than 3 years old. The AAA website states that the battery service is $199 including installation and recycling. However, A&F Towing charged me $274. Upon inquiring with their office, they explained that there is a $50 fee for labor, despite the fact that AAA says labor and installation is included in the $199. I have a Honda and it took a few minutes to install, so my car does not meet any qualifications for a complex location. I fully acknowledge that I should have asked if there was a labor charge BEFORE the battery was replaced, and that's on me. But I also trusted that a company through AAA would adhere to their policies, and now I know that's not the case. Overall I wish everything was explained clearly (like why I needed a new battery) or that the labor charge was noted upfront if it deviated from AAA policy. read more

The service my friend and I received today was absolutely awful and disgusting the WORST I have ever been treated. To start the 2 hispanic men "assisting" on my tire stripped the lug nuts on my tire COMPLETELY ruined now I am having to pay for a tow & service on my vehicle. This feels like it was a big plan to waste my time and put me in a worse situation & causing me to pay ten times more than I should've. And on top of ALL that the 2 horrible hispanic men were threatening my friend and tried to "fight", then proceeded to deny help and started attacking us by spraying compressed air at us and cussing us out. I highly recommend everyone stay away from this towing company!!! I had a blow out on the freeway yesterday, called AAA and A & F Towing was dispatched. A & F Towing never called, texted nor let me know they were not going to help me while I waited for over an hour on the freeway. I clicked on the link three times. The first time it showed their tow truck driver being 40 minutes away. The second time it showed 7-9 minutes away. The third time I clicked on the link to see how far away their tow truck driver was, it showed the link as "unavailable". They cancelled the tow truck dispatch without even mentioning anything to me!! Unbelievable!! Luckily, right after finding out that link to see how far the driver was no longer active, a Metro Freeway driver pulled over and promptly installed my spare tire. He told me, "Of course the tow truck driver shows up when I am almost done." When I asked him where the tow truck driver is, he replied, "He drove off." I even tried to give this Metro Freeway driver a $20.00 bill tip and he said, "Thank you but we are not allowed to take any tips." He was helpful, communicative and polite! I never received any communication nor help from A & F Towing until today when I got their text a little while ago asking how their service was today. Wrong day first of all!! A & F Towing was no help at all yesterday nor today!! I received a text message this afternoon from A & F Towing asking how their service today was (A day later! What a joke!) and when I texted back to describe what happened, the manager immediately called me, got defensive right away and asked, "What did my driver do wrong?" No apology nor sincerity from this manager for making me wait all that time with no assistance, explanation on what happened or what did not happen. If A & F Towing's manager is unprofessional, gives attitude, cares more about their company and drivers than helping people in their time of need, no wonder their tow truck driver does not care. Lead by example, not with an attitude. Avoid this company like the plague!!! read more
