They had him in and out in a very timely manner too! I just moved back to this area two years ago and I used to bring my diesel here for oil changes 17 years ago. There was an older man here that ran the place and he was just a really nice guy that ran a very efficient operation. I was talking to one of the techs and asked about him. He said he was one of those that worked under him and after he retired he took over and has kept it going!!! I was really glad to hear that because it just seems he picked up right where the other had dropped off. It's still a very efficient business!!!

The vibration was present at all speeds but became much worse as our speed increased. Since traffic here routinely moves at 80+ mph, the issue quickly became impossible to ignore. We were concerned that the wheel bearings or other major suspension components were failing. Over the past several weeks, we took the car to multiple repair shops and received recommendations to replace everything from all four shocks and struts to wheel bearings, brake rotors, and other suspension components. Before committing to thousands of dollars in repairs, we decided to make one last attempt to properly diagnose the problem and brought the car to Mike Smith Auto & Tire. After speaking with Justin, we immediately felt like we were being heard. He took the time to listen to every concern we had, and one of his technicians even drove the car at highway speeds to experience the vibration firsthand--something no other shop was willing to do because of "insurance reasons," despite being located just minutes from the highway. When the technician returned, Justin invited us into the shop and walked us through the diagnostic process. With the car on the lift, we spun all four wheels and quickly discovered the real culprit: all four tires were severely out of round. They had developed high and low spots, causing the vibration we had been chasing all along. It was surprising that no previous shop had taken the time to inspect the tires before recommending extensive suspension repairs. Justin and his crew were straightforward, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, honest. They never tried to upsell us on unnecessary repairs and only recommended what was actually needed. While we didn't purchase new tires that day because these still have several thousand miles of tread life remaining, there's no question where we'll be buying our next set when the time comes. So I scheduled a 7:00 am, 30 minute appointment. When I got there, I was the only customer and no one other cars were being worked on. I asked how long it would take and they said 30-45 mins l, but they couldn't promise that time. I said I'd have to reschedule, and asked about all those 4:00-6:00 appointments on their scheduling site. They informed they don't take anything after 4:00 pm. Seriously? Even an oil change? That shouldn't take more than 15 minutes!

The Hunny's SUV needed two new tires. Yelpers said that Ben's had good prices, and I concur: the tires I got are priced right around others I've purchased in Vidor TX and Vallejo CA. For best results, order from their website, pick the time you can be there. Note: the tires weren't there yet when I arrived in the morning. "The truck is scheduled to be here at 12." That should help when scheduling when you can be at Ben's. When they got started, it took less than 15 minutes to park it, get 'em on, and pay for it. Mauriceville is a little drive for me, but my experience at Ben's was better than what I get at Modico. So I'm fixinta come to Ben's more.
