Went to get a safety check. Service is excellent! They were able to provide service without an appointment. It was fast, I was in and out of there within minutes! My only gripe about the place is the parking situation. The shop shares a lot with tiny guy, so parking is very limited and the parking patrol lady is a grump. I took my car to other shops and no one really knew what the problem was, until we brought it here. They were able to let us know what the problem was right away! These mechanics were a godsend when I found myself having unexpected radiator problems. I had called several mechanics that day and all of them were booked out, for days or weeks. These guys diagnosed my problem, sent me a video, and managed to fit me in when no one else could. According to my cousin who used to be a professional mechanic, they charged me a fair rate. Had a power steering leak and been looking around for a shop. These guys were recommended and also read reviews on here about them as well. I messaged Sheldon about my truck and tried to schedule a time. He was very helpful with working with me on finding a time to come in. I also asked about an oil change too! After chatting with him, I was able to get an appt 2 days after!! Arrived at shop and was greeted right away!! Put my truck on the rack and inspected my steering and found the issues. They even let me see exactly what the issues were and told me how they can fix it. After that the oil change was done and that seemed like a few minutes! I've been coming here for a few years now mostly for safety checks but I've come in for brake repairs, light replacement, etc. safety check is super fast and easy, scheduling is fast and easy too. Always honest and reliable, feels like your uncle and cousin are fixing your car. They fixed a nail in my tire for free, helped me figure out a problem I had with my turning signal, and referred me to other honest mechanics when they weren't able to fix the issue I had. Called on a Saturday morning to schedule to replace my alternator, after my car died Friday night on Kapiolani Blvd. Although they were booked until Thursday.Wayson referred me to two other shops he works with. Never known a business to honestly so what's best for the customer versus their business. As it turned out I scheduled with A&H for Thursday and it was worth the wait. He was in complete communication with me throughout the day first testing my battery to see if that was just the problem, but then coming to realize that yes it was my alternator replaced with a new alternator. My car was done the end of the workday on Friday. Although when returning my car on Friday, come to find out that the new alternator was faulty, as it died turning into the driveway they said they will pick my car back up on Monday to work on it. And they stood by the their work and were able to get my car on Monday, texting to let me know as I was at work. Replaced the faulty alternator with a new new one and I got my car back on Monday night. They stood by the original quoted price so the value was great no surprises. And even though the new alternator was faulty, they came back got my car from my house took it back to the shop took out that faulty alternator replacement with a brand new one all within that original quoted price. Usually I would go to the Kia dealership for all of my service needs, but from here on out, I will be going to A&H for my oil changes and any other service needs, they definitely have a new loyal customer from here on out and I will recommend them to anybody who needs any auto service needs. read more

I moved to town a couple of years ago but continued to get my car maintenance done in Aiea every few months, where I used to live. This got old really quickly for me, and while I enjoyed the shop I went to, the drive wasn't really worth it. I hadn't gotten my car serviced in a little over a year, and I could tell by checking my oil and cabin filters that they needed to be changed/replaced. I looked around for a nearby auto shop who would do great work but not try to add additional services some dealerships/other auto repair shops try to get you to buy. Yes I know it's recommended but what do I need? Haha. Cut to A&H Auto Repair! I called and left a message and they called me back within the hour to schedule my appointment. Then I was able to drop my car off and pick it up when it's ready. They also told me that they lift up the car as well during servicing, to check if anything like your brakes need replacing or tires looking bald, etc. Really happy with the great service I've received and I will definitely be coming here for all my car needs in the future. read more

Great and speedy service. Sheldon helped me out several months ago. My manual transmission car just stopped running one day at a gas station. I didn't know where to take it, so I called my bf to help me out. He's worked with Sheldon before. I work multiple jobs and go to school full time, so not having a car for a while is not really an option for me. They were able to take my car right away and fixed it within a couple of days.
